My vehicle makes a clunk noise when the vehicle is in motion and i press on the accelerator it also makes a little jerk. This mainly happens @ low speeds and on a incline hill. There some type of oil or grease stains where the cv axle goes into transmission. ive felt my vehicle with less power and pulls to the left. Took the vehicle to chevrolet and they said they couldnt duplicate the issue or the oil leak.

My bright lights do not go off when oncoming vehicles or vehicles in front of me are close and when they do dim they go on and off. People flash their brights at me causing me not to be able to sleep and this happens even when they turned off of auto. Another item of concern is that the car would lock and unlock and the interior lights would go on and off. This was fixed but it was a line under the front that was not soldered together at the manufacturer is what the Chevy dealership stated.

ODI #11700596FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with no vehicles or objects nearby, the Forward Collision Avoidance system activated, and the Automatic Emergency Braking System engaged and brought the vehicle to a complete stop. Upon driving off, the vehicle then jerked and jolted. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the vehicle functioned as intended during the time in the Service Center. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 20,000. The VIN was not available.

ON SEPTEMBER 10, 2025 THE TRANSMISSION FAILED FOR THE 3RD TIME WITHOUT WARNING. THIS TRANSMISSION ONLY LASTED ABOUT 5,500 MILES. WHEN IT FAILS, IT SIMPLY DOES SO WITHOUT WARNING. WHILE DRIVING IT WLL START SHUDDERING AND WHEN YOU STOP IT JUST WONT GO AFTER THAT. gm KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THESE 9 SPEED TRANSMISSIONS BECAUSE THEY ARE ON BACKORDER AND MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR OVER TWO MONTHS WAITING ON PARTS. SINCE THIS IS THE 3RD FAILED TRANSMISSION UNDER WARRANTY, I CREATED A COMPLAINTWITH GM AND REQUESTED A BUY BACK BUT THEY REFUSED.

Since I’ve got the vehicle i experienced issues with it not going in drive or reverse sporadically. I was air to obtain this in video and show it to the dealer for the first time Dec 2023. In addition and overtime it’s seems this issue may go hand and hand with the lane assist issue that had been known on Chevy models where they either don’t work of they don’t recognize the lanes correctly and they pull although your in the correct lane.i have specifically taken the car in on 3 or more occasions about it disengaging and not driving forward or backwards. More recently it started to seem as if while u was actually driving the car did not want to accelerate forward and then while trying to accelerate the steering wheel pulled and caused the car to spin out of control on the freeway. The car was just in the shop from End of April till May and the issues are unable to be duplicated so I just keep getting pushed off with the car. The car radio constantly malfunctions and glitches i several different forms, black screen no sound or not allow Bluetooth capabilities. My most main concern is this power train issue and me getting stuck with a car that is going to be it of warranty and the issue has never been resolved even though I have showed the dealership a live video of the occurring issue that there is something wrong here.

I am writing to inform the appropriate authorities of the issues that I’ve continually had with my 2023 Chevrolet Blazer. It has come to my attention that the aforementioned vehicle will need a new transmission and possible engine repair currently totaling at just over 6,000 dollars in repair costs. When I was provided with the total repair cost I was informed by the certified service representative that this was a common issue for the Blazer model and that GM was aware of the ongoing issue. I’ve reached out to GM with my concerns regarding this vehicle and the fact that this is an issue that has in prior dates prompted recalls for blazer models from the year 2020-2024. I have because of the transmission defects/ failures been stranded and unable to shift gears required for proper motion of the car. To which I am sure you can understand the public safety risk of an inoperative transmission. I have taken the car in for service concerning the transmission on 3 separate occasions within the last 10 days and was told by prior service technicians that “ No problems were visible” leading to the total breakdown of the transmission. I reached out to GM and told them of my wish to return the leased vehicle early due to my fears of now driving and operating the car and was told that I was not eligible for a buy back. GM is maintaining its stance of no liability and I am seeking outside help from this governing agency to ensure that repair costs are fully covered for this defective product.

Addition to Case #[XXX] Hi: Read the following response from Chevrolet Care at the end of this Email about my braking problem. Take Note That Chevrolet is Admitting that in a case like mine (wet, slippery snow conditions) I only have Basically Two Wheel Braking and those two wheels (tires) are sliding during the complete stop. This happens when driving in town (20 -25 mph) The rear wheels as Chevrolet says have a drag effect, (basically no braking) Chevrolet has created a crash Hazard with this over engineered braking system when used in wet slippery snow conditions. Thank You [XXX] See Enail from Chevrolet Cares Hello [XXX], Thank you for your patience and for providing this information. We received an update from your dealership, Bergstrom Chevrolet Of Manitowoc, who advised the following: The system is functioning as normal. Brake pad thickness was measured at 8mm on all 4 wheels. The ABS system doesn't activate on all 4 wheels unless there is a total loss of traction across all four wheels which would indicate a total loss of control. With two wheels activating and the rear wheels still spinning is allowing for the retention of control by allowing for braking to the rear wheels but at a lesser degree to create stability and drag (braking) to maintain control and steering capabilities during the loss of traction at the front end. The ABS system does allow for the adjustment of braking power to specific wheels in an effort to maintain proper traction and steering prior to the emergency systems engaging in the event of a slide. The dealership is our eyes and ears on the ground, and I will stand by their judgement. However, if you feel strongly against the dealership's judgement, it is to your discretion on what dealership you would like to work with. Please note, this does not guarantee a different resolution. Please let me know if you wish to visit another GM location for further assistance, we're here to help. This problem is with a 2023 R/S/ AWD Blazer: When there is wet slippery snow, and I apply the brakes normally the system immediately goes to rapid clicking of the ABS system activated on the front brakes and I hear no clicks from the rear wheels. From the time of the ABS being activated the front wheels go into a slide and the rear wheels only roll along with no braking action as I have opened my driver's door and watched the driver's rear wheel while activating the brakes. I have been to the dealer two times, and they find nothing wrong. I found on the internet one other person complaining with the same issues as me on a 2021 R/S AWD blazer. When this happens, it is a accident waiting to happen situation.

ODI #11645502FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

On February 14, 2025, at approximately 0700 hours, I was traveling southbound on XXX, approaching a left turn (eastbound) onto XXX. I was the first vehicle in the turn lane with no other vehicles or pedestrians in front of me. The road conditions were clear, dry, and cold. Upon receiving a green light to proceed with my left turn, I began to accelerate without issue. However, approximately halfway through the turn, my vehicle's pedestrian collision avoidance system was unexpectedly triggered. The red windshield alert light began flashing, accompanied by an audible warning, followed by hard braking. My vehicle came to a stop in the middle of the turn, despite there being no vehicle, pedestrian, or any other object in my path. This sudden and unwarranted activation of the emergency braking system put me at great risk. Had a vehicle been traveling northbound on XXX, it would have collided with my vehicle. Similarly, if there had been a vehicle behind me, it could have caused a rear-end collision. The system’s phantom activation, with no clear reason, was extremely alarming and could have resulted in a serious accident. I have experienced sporadic false alerts in the past, including red windshield alerts with audible warnings, typically during heavy traffic in parallel lanes. However, this was the first time the system engaged the brakes. I immediately deactivated the feature after returning home. On February 25, 2025, I took my vehicle to XXX, for inspection. During my visit, the service department could not identify any issues with the system. They kept the vehicle for further diagnostics and performed a road test on February 26, 2025. However, no issue was found, and the emergency braking did not activate during the test. I was informed that there was nothing more they could do.

I was turning left at an intersection on 5/5/23 and the brakes locked up for no reason. As I entered the intersection the vehicle flashed the automatic emergency braking lights and locked up the brakes as I turned left. The lane in front of me was perfectly clear and the sudden stop fortunately didn't cause the vehicle behind me to rear end me. My wife and I were totally shocked and confused why this happened when there was clearly no obstruction ahead of us or reason to lockup the brakes. This is an absolute flaw and could have caused an accident and/or injury. This ADAS system is very sensitive in my opinion and constantly goes off on parked cars when driving in my subdivision. This I guess is unavoidable but the incident that happened is not explainable or acceptable!

The amber reliability line is declining — recent years score around 40/100, lower than earlier in the vehicle's life. This pattern indicates issues are accumulating over time rather than being resolved, which is a concern for used buyers.

The recall (red dashed line) were issued in the same year or before complaints peaked, suggesting the manufacturer identified and acted on the defect relatively quickly.

Red dots on the amber line flag 2 years (2024, 2025) where complaints included crash events — these are the highest-severity incidents in the dataset.
