My fuel pump went out without codes. My car stalled out on a highway while I was going 65 miles an hour with my baby in my car , and would not crank back up or go into neutral . No , it has not been to dealer it is broke down and I had to have it towed home. My husband is a mechanic and has thoroughly inspected all components, the fuel pump went out . No. This is a common problem in 2021 dodges and challengers . This is very dangerous for drivers on the highway . This issue should be fixed .

The vehicle had been parked and unused for approximately 24 hours. We drove it home after staying elsewhere overnight and arrived home about one hour before the incident. Driving in a rainy day on my way from work home, my wipers stopped working. I took it to an auto mechanic and he told me that wiper motor was good and also was the wiper switch. The problem was with the totally integrated power module (TIPM ) . So I could not drive my vehicle when it rains. And the dealership states that I had to purchase the entire fuse module under the hood. So I had no choice but to purchase this item which the dealer charge me $480 plus tax.

Dodge is refusing to cover this part under the warranty. This specific year and all models in 2021 Durango’s including SRT, GT, GT Plus , TnG , vehicle has a known issue with the driver side DRL ( Daytime Running Lights) completely going out and not working very early into its life . After complying with Recall 24V436000, the Navigation screen is stuck in Night Time Mode. This causes the streets to become very hard to see during the day. While entered routes are highlighted, cross streets are almost invisible. I have missed turns because of it. I believe this diverts the driver's attention away from looking ahead to attempting to read the Nav Screen. FCA knows about this and has documented it on Star Online, Case Number 258A000012, indicating they are not going to fix it. I believe this is unsatisfactory and is leading to distracted driving. On the morning of July 8th our carbon monoxide detector went off. It woke us up at 4:00 a.m., I went down to check what was beeping open my garage door to see where the smell is coming from and my garage was close to 100°. I woke up my boyfriend and we tried to get the car out of the garage and into the driveway. The car was towed to a dealership near us, and they have had the car ever since, today is September 2nd we still do not have our car back and it still does not run right due to the fire in the gas tank they suspect that it was a faulty fuel pump. My car insurance has paid for these repairs thus far. While exiting I95 in Jacksonville, FL onto I10, the vehicle stumbled and lost power. Felt like it was running out of fuel. This happened at 500PM on Thursday, 14 August 2025. Thankfully, I am good driver and alert and made a two lane change onto a shoulder. The vehicle barely made it off the road with cars having to scramble to avoid us as we slowed. The vehicle would crank but not start. Upon investigating simple things, I discovered that fuse 70, the fuel pump motor had blown. I replaced with another fuse but the vehicle would still only crank but not start. We even added fuel to ensure it was not a pickup issue. My wife and I were towed home (we rode in the two truck) after a few hours on side of the road. It appears this fuel pump issue is fairly common. I am out of warranty and will pay for a repair myself. However, this could have been a very serious situation had I not been alert and had the room to maneuver across the lanes. No warning lights or any such thing is present on the dash. Also the car was NOT out of fuel.

The contact was informed that the denial was due to the vehicle not being at factory specifications upon inspection. The contact stated that an aftermarket security system from Stargard GPS was installed by the dealer, from whom the vehicle was purchased prior to the contact taking possession of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the issue, a case was opened, and the contact was later informed that the manufacturer agreed with the dealer’s determination. UConnect recall started in 2024 with Radio disconnecting/dropping connections intermittently. Got 1st fix that fixed it briefly, then began dropping connections again. They did 3 fixes with the last one saying, finally a remedy! Well 4 months later, issue begins again! The connecting, disconnecting, to reconnecting started again on my UConnect Radio!! It will drop connections, reconnect then play a bit; repeat throughout.When it drops 1st time it'll reconnects on its own! After about the 2nd drop, I have to hit ok for it to reconnect, for it to drop again! it progressively gets worse at times and it will drop, reconnect 4 to 5 times within 15 seconds, & it doesn't always reconnect. I have to hit ok for it to connect! To play 15 seconds, and drop, reconnect automatically or manually 4 to 5 times back to back!! Same issue, just progressively worse when it decides to do it throughout the length of a song!

The heating hose exploded due to unknown pressure and ended up getting steaming, hot coolant, and all the cylinders and causing engine failure on a Dodge Durango that I purchased 80 days ago. and I have manufacturer, the dealer and an extended warranty, and after verbal and written promises, now I’m left with almost a $20,000 bill and no car and wasting money on rentals. I have filed to BBB and other complaints towards the dealership. I have tons of other people who have had similar problems with this year and model and newer.

I was driving at around 45 MPH when my rear spoiler suddenly detached from my 2022 vehicle. It was only held on by one latch and the wire for the rear camera. The daytime running light on the drivers side stopped working. Appears to be a very common problem on 2021 durangos. After inspection of the headlight assembly, it appears the DRL are 2 separate strips which makes it highly unlikely that both LED strips failed at the exact same time. This leads me to believe the issue is electrical. I dont want to replace the headlight assembly with an underlying electrical issue and dodge does not want to take responsibilty and investigate further. They want to replace the headlight assembly. This is an ongoing issue with many durangos and it needs to be properly addressed

Rear spoiler flew off on highway as I was on my way to my son‘s [XXX] birthday party with a vehicle full of children. This is a major concern because it could have endanger the people in the vehicle as well as the people outside of the vehicle on the highway. This was a disaster. No one was hurt, but I have full intentions on contacting my attorney. After research there was a recall for 2021 through 2023 on spoilers for the Dodge Durango possibly not being intact and could potentially fly off. I purchased this vehicle with less than 500 miles on it at the end of 2023 December to be exact I was never notified of a recall and after a year and a half later, it happened to me. DRL’s stopped working

I have been having issues with the start button, the engine cranking but not turning over. It will crank for 30 seconds, not start, all the lights come on and usually on the second attempt the car will start. Also I have powered off the radio while driving for a second, then the screen will not turn back on.

DRL on left side does not work. After looking online it looks as if this is a common issue and most likely 2021 models are no longer working. It is safety hazard due to it being a light.

The driver side headlight fixture has gotten moisture into it. This has caused the "racetrack" LED daylight running light around the headlight to fail. After doing research, this is a common issue amount 2021 and up Dodge Durangos. At this time, there is also a class action lawsuit for the rear LED lighting using probably the same design that is also failing. The fix is replacing the headlight housing which is approximately $1,500+ for part and repair. Yes, this can be inspected upon request. The safety risk is that only one of the daylight running lights works so visibility will be poor for other drivers. My inspection mechanic noticed this issue and described it being the moisture in the headlight to be the most direct cause of the malfunction. There were no warnings that the equipment was failing. It would be on one day then off the next and then it stopped working completely.

Driving in traffic when suddenly a large volume of smoke was pouring out from my vehicle obscuring the view of everyone behind me. Pulled over and shut down, found coolant all over engine bay and had vehicle towed to dealership. Dealership replaced hose assembly under warranty but was without vehicle for 6 weeks waiting on the part.

On [XXX] my Durango started leaking coolant and steaming while I was driving. The steam was rising through the openings in the hood and was getting on the windshield. The coolant was pouring on the ground. I had to stop the car to prevent it from overheating. I had the vehicle towed to the dealer and they told me a coolant hose had broken at the rear of the engine. I did some research on this specific leak. I have a friend with the same year and model/trim as my Durango who also had the same exact problem just past 30K miles. When I looked online, I can find many instances of this same failure. This part is common for 2011-2025 Durangos and is on at least the 6th engineering revision as evidence by is cross compatibility with 55038042AE, 55038042AF, 55038042AG, 55038042AH, 55038042AI. This issue is systemic and dangerous. The engine can lose all coolant and overheat without warning. It spills coolant on the roadway creating a hazardous condition and the driver's view can be obstructed by the coolant on the windshield and in the air. There was no advance warning of this failure and I don't expect this sort of failure when a vehicle is so new and well maintained. The dealer fixed my vehicle at a cost of over $1700 for this repair which was just barely past the manufacturer's warranty term for the vehicle. Racetrack taillight got water inside of it. Full Rear taillight is now not functioning and I have no brake lights.

The racetrack tail LED lights burn out and fail. It is a safety concern because of visibility and since they are vulnerable to water damage from rain or car washes, the light assembly can get corroded and burn out other electrical components. This leads to failure of backup lights, license plate lights, and rearview backup camera. The problem has been reproduced thousands of times as is evident by all the Durango's on the road exhibiting the same burned out tail lights. There is no warning or message, etc. prior to failure. The cost to repair is an outrageous $2000 (parts & labor) at minimum.

Car shut off while driving.

I attempted to pull off from sitting @ a red light & the System Electronic Stability Control along with shift selector illuminated. At that time it causes this vehicle to not move. Transmission light came on as well & everything is blinking

Vehicle fitted with optional high-performance Brembo brakes as part of the tow-n-go package. Front calipers are seized at just over 40k miles. Passenger side pads worn 1/4" more than drivers side. Luckily did not cause an accident however this seems to be a very common problem with these brakes if you google it, many similar reports. Vehicle barely 4 years old. $5k+ repair bill at a Dodge dealer for new calipers, discs and pads and Dodge won't cover it under (now expired) warranty even though the uneven pad wear was missed at last service (so much for safety inspection).

Vehicle was parked/backed in on a right slope. Crunk the vehicle and it instantly started rolling and we couldn’t get it to stop. My safety and others safety was at risk because the vehicle could’ve hit anyone walking in the parking lot, incoming vehicle or easily hit the building where people live. The state highway patrol did come out and have a look at the vehicle. There were not any warning lights on at all.

The day time running light on the driver's side has gone out. Being a lighting issue, this affects visibility of the vehicle and therefore is a safety issue.

I've read a bunch of complaints about the drivers side daytime running lights having an electrical issue and the lights stop working. It's a common theme that it's only the drivers side which indicates faulty wiring which could possibly lead to a fire sometime. Ours is now not functioning. It just stopped working yesterday and I started to investigate it on my own.

The drivers side daytime running light led failed at approximately 56,000 miles and less than 4 years. The dealer (Dover Dodge) has informed me that the LED can’t simply be replaced , but the entire headlight has to be replaced for $1,400 dollars including labor. This component is not supposed to fail so early. It is unreasonable and premature for a component like this to fail and the only recourse is to replace the entire headlight assembly. I believe this is a design flaw that Dodge should recall or at the minimum extend the warranty on. It is not safe that my daytime running light will remain off on the drivers side. This condition will certainly lower my visible presence on the road.

The drivers side daytime running lamps no longer work. This feature is supposed to allow other drivers to see me during the day when headlights are not needed to see. I have checked the fuse and it is good. I also toggled the option off and back on in settings. Passenger side works but not the drivers. This part has to be faulty since everyone on the dodge forums state that only the drivers side on their vehicle quit working.

I noticed this morning when approaching the car that there was an oil spot under the car. I checked the oil and it is two courts low. There is oil puddled on the frame rails under the coolant reservoir. When I took the coolant cap off, there's nothing but oil in the tank. We have yet to have the car towed and inspected by a certified mechanic. The car drove normal and was within normal operating range when parked. Car has been serviced by a local certified shop at all intervals.

The vehicle was then towed to John Thornton Chevrolet (1971 Thornton Rd, Lithia Springs, GA 30122). The check engine warning light and an unknown warning light were illuminated. The dealer diagnosed that bank #1 camshaft position actuator two (2) and the CAN BUS communication outline had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage 80,000.

LF DRL not working only on this side. Vehicle was taken to dealership, I have an extended warranty but was told this was not covered. There are 4 other Durangos in my town with the same problem. I have also been online and found numerous forums with other people having the same issue. I would like have this noted so that Dodge can acknowledge this issue and fix it.

Drivers side LED running light died - this issue has been all over the internet on 2021 Durango SXT Plus, and other Durango vehicles with LED bulbs. Went to the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Lawrenceburg, IN last year and was told that spoiler failed a recall inspection and needed to be replaced. Unfortunately, spoilers were on back order and would take several months to get in. A month or so later, my local body shop took my Dodge Durango to the Dodge dealership in Batesville, IN for repairs after someone ran into my vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot. The Batesville dealership did another inspection for the spoiler recall and cleared the inspection stating that the spoiler passed inspection. So now I have one dealership (Lawrenceburg, IN) saying that there is a "gap" and that the spoiler in fact needs replaced, but that they can't fix it because they will not be reimbursed by Chrysler since the recall for my Durango has been "cleared" by the Batesville, IN Dodge dealership. After contacting the second dealership, they still claim that the spoiler is fine and refuse to fix it either. I admit, I don't know what I am looking for, but I also see a gap between the spoiler and where it is attached to the vehicle. It also seems to be loose. So, my question is, what exactly is the spoiler recall on 2021 Dodge Durango's? Should I be concerned that it's not getting fixed? Most importantly, who will be responsible if this thing comes off and injurers someone driving behind me?

All electrical systems are periodically malfunctioning. This includes power windows, door locks, lane assist, heating and cooling/climate controls, heated steering wheel, screen displays, radio controls, steering wheel controls, shifter, etc. all of these things will turn on and off by themselves while driving. Lane assist has frequently turned on and off while driving and jerks the steering wheel. Park assist turns on and off while driving. The vehicle does not always turn off with the push button stop and has to be attempted several times. I have been locked inside my vehicle because the electric locks will not release without several attempts. Power windows frequently do not work. Back hatch frequently will not release, leaving the back of the vehicle inaccessible. It has shifted into neutral by itself while driving requiring me to pull to the side of the road and physically move the shifter back and forth. It was taken to the dealership where they stated there were so many error codes they could not clear them all. I am currently waiting on an electrical wiring part that they say will fix it because they’ve “seen this before”. It is 1000 miles beyond the basic warrantee and my purchased extended warrantee will not cover the $700 repair because it is considered normal corrosion wear. It is really not safe to drive and it has taken weeks for the dealership to address the issue, waiting on an ordered part that may fix it.

Drivers side DRL goes out very quickly. This is a VERY common issue on 21 Dodge vehicles.

Known issue of major electrical problems. Fuse block, alternator, and batteries needed to be replaced after car completely died while driving, leaving us stranded at major intersection. Daytime running light also died.

My drivers side headlamp that is sealed the running light is out and apparently several other Dodge Durango owners have the same issue like it’s a defect when they were being made and it seems to be the one on the drivers side every time when you look up all the complaints about it! I am very unhappy about this situation and that a recall already hasn’t been made with all the vehicles that have this same exact problem instead because it’s sealed the dealerships want us to pay $1800 to get it replaced! If several other Dodge Durangos are having the same problem they should fix this issue moving forward! Our vehicle is only 3 years old! This could definitely cause an issue when it’s foggy outside and make it a very dangerous situation since we cannot change it ourselves! So this needs to be fixed!

While driving paved road noticed a cloud of smoke behind the vehicle. Immediately pulled to the side of the road and shut vehicle off. After checking under the vehicle found coolant leaking from the engine compartment, there was no coolant in the expansion tank either. Any driving would have resulted in engine destruction. Called a tow truck. After waiting on the side of the road for 5 hours for tow truck, vehicle was taken to the nearest dealer on the flatbed. At the dealer, technician stated, it is a frequent occurrence on this brand of the vehicle, and they are very familiar with repairing it. Dealership repair, exposed burst/hole, from inside out, in the coolant hose. Glad it did not happen in the winter; I might not be typing this message.

We own a 2021 Dodge Durgano SRT Hellcat which we received from the dealership on [XXX]. It has only 17,083 miles on it and the 50,000 mile stock Pirelli run flat tires are cording and coming apart at the interior of the tire. The vehicle has had recommended tire rotations every year at 5,000 to 6,000 mi. They have advised there is a MAJOR factory alignment issue causing the front tires to lean in at the top resulting in very abnormal wear to the interior of the tires. We have photo proof of our 2021 Durango with the alignment issue versus our 2018 Durango without it. We notified Dodge of this safety issue especially since they have three brand new Durangos for sale with this same issue. We were unaware of this issue until the tires started coming apart since this was a brand new car and factory alignment should not be set to destroy tires. We filed claim# [XXX] with Chrysler and they denied our claim to assist us with aligning the vehicle and replacing the tires and also showed refused to correct the issue for future customers purchasing their vehicles. We are currently in a battle with our local dealership HW Hunter Dodge (Lancaster, CA) to have the tires replaced and alignment issues corrected yet they are also refusing to help or be liable for the alignment problem on our vehicle and other vehicles they have sold or will be selling. This poses a serious safety hazard for anyone who has purchased a 2021 or newer Durango R/T, SRT, and SRT Hellcat which all have this camber issue at the top of the both front tires. Eventually, someone will experience a massive tire failure with their family in the vehicle and will either be seriously hurt if not worse. A recall should be issued for this problem immediately and replacement of damaged tires but both Dodge and Chrysler will not take any liability nor help with even looking into the issue. I own a 2020 Dodge Durango. The daytime running lights malfunctioned after one year of use. The vehicle warranty does not cover this issue, and all dealers and insurance companies will charge over $1200 to repair the lights. This issue has been known to affect the 2020 Durango model since its release. The lights cannot be repaired by replacing a bulb; instead, the entire headlight module must be replaced. Dodge has stated that this issue is considered normal wear and tear on the vehicle, even though they acknowledge that it is a known issue. Dodge does not know why the lights malfunction after just one year, but their resolution is to charge the consumer to replace the module and also advises that the issue may recur after the repair.

My rear spoiler fell off going down the road, and was unable to find it.

When driving the vehicle and pressing the brakes to stop, the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. It takes several attempts of releasing and pressing the pedal before the brakes start to work again. The vehicle was taken to the Dodge dealer service, where they installed a computer to diagnose the issue. During their test drive, the same problem occurred, with the brakes not working. However, nothing registered on the computer. They bled the brakes, replaced the rear rotors, and returned the vehicle. Unfortunately, the same issue happened again. The vehicle was then taken to a private shop, where they changed the front brakes, bled the lines, and returned the vehicle. But the problem persisted, with the pedal still going straight to the floor. This issue has occured several times since purchasing the vehicle.

Driver side headlight Dlr LED running and turn signal went out.

The DRL on these models seem to stop working within 3-4 years. I have only one working on the vehicle currently. Dealer is stating the light cost is $1000 plus install to fix. Apparently it’s a “known” issue by FCA. The safety concern is that when people first see it they have told me they thought I was a motorcycle. As only one DRL is working. The whole headlight should not have to be replaced in these as it is only the DRL that is bad. How do they expect people to pay for this.

The EPS system failed while driving, the steering wheel became very stiff and hard to turn

Start/Stop feature says it is unavailable causing vehicle to not shut off when stopped as well as causing vehicle to give message saying Start/Stop feature unavailable due to hood open which then causes vehicle to shut off once stopped and requires vehicle to be shifted into park and restarted for message to come back on. This issue happens when driving and once stopped causes vehicle shut off in traffic causing huge safety concerns and issues.

I was on a road trip, this is the second time it happens. A small rock hit my a/c condenser causing the Freon to leak out. It happened 2 years ago after owning the car for a few days and had to pay over $1500 and happened again today. I have to bring it to the shop to see if I have the same issue. In my 2021 Dodge Durango, I noticed my daytime running light on the drivers side was out. I thought that’s weird because I have had the car for less than 3 years. When I googled the problem to find the part to replace, I quickly learned there were thousands of complaints about the same problem. This part costs $1,400 for one single headlight replacement because it’s not possible to just replace a bulb. I called the dealership and they let me know that I can bring it in with a $250 fee for checking the problem. I will be required to pay the fee if it is not covered under warranty. In their words, if a fuse is loose or malfunctioning then I have to pay $250 plus however much it costs to fix the problem. If the headlight needs to be replaced then I do not have to pay the $250 fee because it’s apart of my 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I cannot afford to pay $3,000 every two years for a set of new headlights when this seems like a major flaw in design along with thousands of customers reporting this is happening to them as well. I live in Washington state where it is dark, gloomy, and rainy throughout the entire year. I would consider daytime running lights a safety concern if not functioning properly on a daily basis and constantly needs to be repaired. My car never warned me or sent me a message that there was a problem. I had someone tell me who physically saw the issue. I WAS DRIVING 45 MPH WHEN MY VEHICLE TOLD ME PUT MY CAR INTO PARK. I LOST CONTROL OF MY STEERING AND CONTROL OF MY ABILITY TO PUT MY CAR INTO OR OUR OF GEAR. I HAD STARTED TO SLOW DOWN DUE TO LOSS OF CONTROLS AND MY CAR HALTED TO AN ADRUPT STOP AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO HAVE ANY CONTROL OF ITS FUNCTIONS. DUE TO BEING IN TRAFFIC I ATTEMPTED TO THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND IT DID NOT ALLOW, I WAITED APPROXIMATELY 5 MIN, AT THAT POINT IT ALLOWED ME TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK, I ATTEMPTED TO RESTART AND IT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME. AFTER WAITING APPROXIMATELY 10 MIN. I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THE IGNITION MODULE WAS REPAIRED ON 6/13 AND A FEW DAYS LATER CUT OFF AFTER REPAIRS.

Driver's side daytime running light burned out after 3 years.

Water accumulates in the rear light bar. This has caused the LEDs to start flickering. This could cause issues in traffic, especially at night if the LEDs are flickering or not working completely. This issue is well known in the Durango community. Mopar is also aware of this. I can always see some water in the light bar after every rain. This vehicle has not been inspected by anyone yet. There are no warning lights associated with this issue. I first noticed the water after owning the vehicle for about 1 year.

The driver's side Daytime Running Lights (DRL) no longer operate. It is available for inspection. DRL have become a regular safety feature to improve visibility in daylight hours. I have not taken it to a dealer, as I do not want to be charged hundreds of dollars in "labor" for them to tell me it doesn't work. I have done research online in Forums and on YouTube, and have confirmed that there are numerous people with the same year, make and model who's driver's side DRL have stopped working just before or just after the 36,000/3 years. For example, my car has 46,000 miles on it when the DRL stopped working. Other's on the Forums who have had their vehicle inspected by the dealerships have confirmed that the entire light assembly needs to be replaced, at a cost of $1300, not including labor. There were no warning lamps or indications that the light went out, I saw my reflection in another car that was in front of me. There is no reason for an LED DRL to go bad after less than years and/or 46,000 miles and the owner then expected to buy a replacement part that costs $1300.

SOS Emergency notification service does not work. Unable to call or be located if an accident or emergency occurs.

The component I am referring to is the fuel pump and fuel sending unit. The vehicle has starting issues, when starting it gives about 30 seconds of continues cranking before starting. Sometimes the vehicle will go through that cycle—unable to turn off at any point and eventually quit on its own. The only way to be replicated is roughly after being idle for 30 minutes- and then having the car turned off and on again. Or by happening randomly-at a stop light with the auto start feature turned on. This provides a hazard as there is moving traffic and the car can stall or not start in time. The vehicle is currently at the dodge dealership getting repaired however there are multiple complaints about this happening on many website forums. Unknown if the issues was reproduced by dealer, however they ran a test and determined the fuel pump was running lower than the specified PSI as per the manufacturer—but I never got the true reading. Unknown if the dealership went into detailed inspection of fuel pump. There are no warning lamp signs or any codes sent through the OBD II monitor.

The liftgate light assembly (racetrack light) has defective gaskets which have allowed water to enter the assembly. The light now has a short resulting from the water and randomly flashes or goes out. This is troubling when following the vehicle as you cannot tell if it is a brake light coming on, hazards, or what the purpose of the random flashing light is.

Water intrusion into the rear taillights causing LED assembly to burn out. This potentially renders the vehicle not visible to other drivers at night time without running lights.

Forward collision service warning came on me vehicle when there was nothing near my car and the weather was only slight rain. Why hasn’t this issue been a recall when I’ve read dozens of other complaints for this same issue.

A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a lot. The contact's mother sustained arm and neck inquires. Medical attention was needed. The contact's mother received medical attention. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 57,000.

Headlight Assembly DLR failures

On 11/4/2023 I turned off my Durango. 10 minutes later I turn it on and it makes a clicking noise and wouldn't turn over. After 10 attempts to start I let it rest for the evening. The following day 11/5/2023 I try to restart and it stalled. After 5 more attempts the vehicle stalled after 10 Seconds each time. 11/6/2023 I contacted my insurance company to have my vehicle towed because it wasn't drivable to the local dodge dealership. After 4 days they diagnosed the problem as an Egr valve. They contacted other dealerships to purchase one and there wasn't any available. They also said that the part is on back order with no date for the future. Prior to the Durango refusing to start there was no warning lights on. The vehicle died in my relatives yard thankfully and not during operation otherwise it could have been fatal. The problem has been confirmed by the local dodge dealership and is available at that location for inspection. I have no documentation yet as it's still sitting at the dealership waiting for the back ordered part to magically arrive

The driver side DRL has gone out. Passenger DRL is working perfect. Looked at dodge forums to see if others are having the same problem and there is MANY of the same complaints!

Before we bought the vehicle we were questioned the steering to get fixed because they stated it was so so alignment issue. But after we purchased within a year we have to get the steering fixed multiple times. Dealership Capricorn that's it was just a loose bolt. This causes a stream safety concerns because there are times where we can't steer correctly or if the steering wheel is straight. The vehicle drifts to the right. Try to take it back another time. Was told by dealership that was a cosmetic issue and is no longer covered on the warranty

The Durango Hydroplaned and after I inspected the tires I noticed very bad wear patterns on the front tires at 17,500 miles both the inside treads on the front tires are completely worn off. I brought the car to the dealer and they confirmed the durangos alignment is out causing the tires to wear. They inspected the back tires and those were worn as well I feel like there is some type of manufacture defect and assembly defect causing the tires to wear prematurely. The pireeli tires have a UTQG: 500 A A rating that should wear to about 50K miles

I have an open safety recall on my 2021 Dodge Durango R/T. Upon receiving the paperwork in the mail I brought my car to a dealer to get it assessed. During that appointment, it was decided that I did need the recall part to be ordered and replaced. The dealer sent me on my way. I called back today to get an idea of when this would be performed and unfortunately, they said Chrysler did not have any parts available and that my part had effectively no ETA on it. I called Chrysler Customer Care to see what they could do in helping me locate the part. The service person on the other end of the phone told me that the car was safe to drive and there was absolutely NOTHING they could do for me and that I would have to wait. I then informed the service person I used to be a manager of a parts department for the CDJR brand and asked about the program that Chrylser has to expedite parts for customers. I have first-hand experience dealing with the expedition team and they always pulled through when I had my customers call in the past (less than a year ago). They would be able to acquire a part that had no ETA and get it to me usually within a week which was incredible for the safety needs of (at the time) our customers. The service person then informed me they had no idea and reiterated that there is nothing they can do and the vehicle is safe to drive. I need to put this complaint in because I have an open safety recall on my vehicle and the company that owns the recall and the part can not give me any estimation of when it will be taken care of and it is to be taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. I don't know who defines what reasonable is but having no estimate at all is certainly not justifiable. This recall is holding back business and personal driving because we as customers do not feel safe driving these long distances knowing that our vehicle could kill us or someone else due to this part flying off of our car and causing an accident with little to no warning.

Transmission cooling lines rub frame of vehicle causing lost in coolant.

An error pop up occurs frequently which blocks the screen (including the backup camera view) until cleared. The error message says “Uconnect Box requires service. Please visit an authorized dealer” This pop up occurs at random and can happen several times in a row. The spontaneity of the error means it can suddenly cover the backup camera view as you are backing up.

The manufacturer was contacted, and the manufacturer approved the repair of the vehicle. The failure mileage was 1,000.

On two separate occasions, while driving car engages into automatic braking with nothing in front of it.

The car has been having intermittent electrical problems and was brought to the dealer many times for repair. The "radio" system has been replaced twice after various electrical problems occurred. The car has also intermittently had a problem where the engine revs excessively and the car does not handle the way it should. It's almost like its a manual transmission that's not being shifted properly. The only way to stop the problem is to turn the car off, and back on which resolves the issues. It generally would then not recur for months. The dealer has not been able to reproduce that problem. Yesterday, while driving the car in heavy traffic, the engine revving problem happened twice. The second time I became very concerned and was trying to get out of bumper to bumper traffic to a safe place. While attempting to get to a place where I could pull the car over, I was moving forward very slowly (had released the brake, but not touched the accelerator) when the car in front of me was stopping again. I braked, and the car lurched forward with force and hit the other car. I braked harder and the car again lurched forward, hitting the other car a second time. I threw the car into park which stopped the motion. There were no serious injuries but both cars sustained damage and I called roadside assistance to tow my car to the dealership because I felt it was not safe to drive. The dealer repeatedly tells us there is nothing wrong with the car. Someone could have been killed or seriously injured. I am requesting an immediate investigation. There were no warning lights. This just happened, so the insurance has not inspected the car yet. It is at the dealership. The only "warning signs were the intermittent electrical problems which have occurred since we have owned the car. The engine revving intermittently started happening about a year ago. The problem with the car accelerating or jerking forward while breaking happened for the first time yesterday

The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 mph and turning in an exit veering to the right when the vehicle began reducing in speed and the vehicle was displaying numbers counting down on the instrument panel. The dealer was unable to duplicate the failure therefore they were unable to diagnose the cause. The vehicle had not been repaired. Approximately 3 weeks after while driving approximately 40 mph when attempting to go on a roundabout when the vehicle began displaying the count down on the instrument panel. The contact attempted to apply the brakes however the vehicle continued to accelerate forward causing the contact to drop into the center of the roundabout. The air bag failed to deploy and the contact hit their head on the steering wheel. The contact also received whiplash and medical attention was needed. The contact was injured from the neck down the back. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled. A police report was filed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 44,722.

Periodic starting failure. Vehicle will not turn over immediately. It has a push button start. The safety of my children is at stake if my vehicle does not start during cold winter months when the outside temperature is below freezing. I am not sure I won’t shut off mid travel. It was suggested to be the type of fuel so I bought premium and it didn’t help.

The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 16,000.

Additionally, the contact sent photos of the failure to the dealer; however, the dealer informed the contact that they could not replace the taillights under warranty because no failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

The contact owns a 2021 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving on three separate occasions at highway speeds, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The horn was beeping. Additionally, the windshield wipers, the brakes, and the power steering functionality became inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed there was corrosion on part numbers: 68490871AA (PCM, ECM, ECU Control module) and 68499393AA (PCM, ECM, ECU Control module). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The approximate failure mileage was 38,000.

I keep receiving error messages on my vehicle, I spoke to a dealership and they stated that there is in fact for a recall.

On several occasions the informatic system makes a loud boom and the screen starts pixelating and shuts down, then randomly restarts. I have been to the dealer several times and once the replaced the system and it is still happening almost causing me to have a collision.

I had 4 Pirelli tires that were down to 3/32 to the point where the threads were showing near the inner sidewall on the tread in under 15000 miles. Tire information: Pirelli Scorpion Zero All/Season run flat tires Tire Size: 295/45/ ZR20 (110Y) M+S My safety as well as others would've been at severe risk if I wouldn't have replaced my tires. They would've blown out near the inner sidewall on the tread. I brought my vehicle in to the dealership to have an alignment and all specs were in spec which would indicate there shouldn't have been premature or uneven wear on the tire. They did confirm that under 15000 miles is extremely premature for these tires to be worn. The tires have only been inspected by the dealership, nobody else at this time. There were no lights on the dash indicating any sort of issue. I called Pirelli about the issue and they stated that there is no mileage warranty on the tires put on at the time of manufacturing. They stated that this complaint was "definitely not the first they have heard and it is not uncommon for premature wear to occur" but couldn't provide any further comment.

Vehicle was dropped off Wednesday, October 12, 2022 and is currently at "Bill Snethkamp Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram" 16400 Woodward Ave, Highland Park, MI 48203 where i was told that it has a seatbelt issue which can cause airbag issue, and due to safety concern, my vehicle will have to stay..

The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.

The transmission slips during initial acceleration and causes the driver to dangerously accelerate ahead unexpectedly.This has been occuring since I purchased the vehicle in July of 2021.

All four tires have worn down after only 18,600 miles. They are bald after only minor use.

The approximate failure mileage was 31,911.

I was driving on the freeway in clear weather, no traffic, and smooth driving. Suddenly, the rear spoiler made a loud sound and broke free from the vehicle. While it was falling, it also broke off a large portion of the rear wiper, and both rear wiper and rear spoiler crashed onto the freeway behind me. All I could see was a small hose and a wire hanging out the back. I pulled off the freeway and took pictures of my mileage as well as the affected areas of the vehicle. Dodge has a recall for this exact problem on some VIN's of the same model year as my vehicle, but my specific VIN is not covered by the existing recall. The existing Dodge recall reference number is Y73.

Sunroof spontaneously shattered while driving. The shatter was accompanied by a very loud noise. Dealer has been contacted and the sunroof will be replaced under warranty.

Cracked windshield 5 months after purchase and again 11 months after purchase. Both times in the same location along the bottom over the top of the VIN number plate. Refer to MC-10187012-9999

The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

2021 Dodge Durango R/T power liftgate fails to recoil when an obstruction is met before latching. The liftgate will squeeze upon object and try to latch and then it just stalls. The problem has been demonstrated over and over again at two different dodge service centers. It has been replicated by technicians in the field. FCA Corporate is aware of my complaint. The field representative said this is normal. If this was a child’s hand or an animal’s paw, it would be crushed, until it stalls. The owners manual clearly states if anything obstructs the powerlift gate while it’s closing or opening the liftgate will automatically reverse to the closed or open position after multiple obstructions in the same cycle to liftgate will automatically stop and must be opened or closed manually. This happens on the first attempt not multiple attempts. There is nothing in the owners manual warning customers about this safety hazard. I am not excepting the answer this is operating as designed. This needs a full investigation and should be a recall on all dodge vehicles which my understanding is manufactured after 2011 until present, according to service manager. This can be duplicated using towels rolled up, cargo liner sticking out of trunk, or other objects like a beach chair bag is how we discovered it. Furthermore, if in a parking lot or at home and you are going into store/home it looks liked it’s latch. Your vehicle is liftgate is unlatched! You do get a warning message on dash obstruction detected, but the liftgate fails to recoil as it just try’s to squeeze itself locked. Then it just stalls. FCA executive agrees the instruction do not line up with the way it’s described to work. What will it take? A small child’s hand, a dogs leg, or someone’s fingers? Dealer said it was pinch sensors but now stated they are not the issue. It’s a poor design with power lift gate strut. Vehicle was in shop for 45 days.

The rear spoiler detach while driving

UNKNOWN reason for failure. The driver side and passenger side seat belts will not retract and do not get tight. This is very dangerous!!!! There are thousands of Durango owners dealing with the same problem. This should be recalled immediately! It will not be good if someone were in an accident and departed from the vehicle because the seat belts weren't working properly!

The contact stated that the fire extended to the house, which also caught fire. The fire was extinguished with the assistance of the fire department, who informed the contact that the source of the fire was electrical. There was no police report filed. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed or repaired. The local dealer was not notified. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000. The VIN was not available.

Auto leveling headlights are pointed too low, not providing enough lit view of the road at night. This is a constant issue and not intermittent. Not being able to see far enough ahead of a vehicle travelling at the speed limit, could cause harm or even death to the operator, passengers or objects in the road. Dealer confirmed lights are pointed too low. Vehicle has not been inspected by the Manufacturer, Police, Insurance Representative. It has only been inspected by the dealership. No warning lamps, messages or other symptoms. I just purchased this vehicle and it was like this when I purchased it.

In the smallest snow flurry while driving the FCW system, as well as the ACC system will disable themselves because the system reports the sensor is blocked. This has happened every time I drive in any kind of currently falling snow. If I stop the car, wipe the sensor off, and continue driving, the system will work for a little while until snow clogs/accumulates on the sensor again.

On my '21 Durango, the backup camera has been so horribly bright at night that I have come to putting my hand or a towel over the screen so that I can look at my side mirrors when backing up. I have visited the dealer and their resolution was to lower the brightness setting which had no effect on the backup camera. This is a huge safety issue backing up at night whether it's in a parking lot or driveway.

My rear tail lights are filling with water due to the fact the Dodge Durango tail lights are not fully sealed. Inevitably there will be a short and the lights will no longer work. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS COMMON PROBLEM thanks

Started my car and I immediately got a battery light, ABS light, auto start/off warning, check engine light. Also got the message park soon your vehicle will shut off soon. Waited 5 minutes and car started idling very high, dash lights flickered, car could not recognize vehicle was in park, car lost power and shut off everything and lost power steering. Took it to the dealer they saw all the bit codes and reset them as a fault could not be determined. That same night I was driving and I got the same warning and my car lost all power while driving including steering. Car will start with a permanent check engine light but slowly loses rpms until it shuts off again.

RED LIGHT COMES ON THE DASH AND ON THE REARVIEW MIRROR. ALMOST CAUSED ME TO WRECK.

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO START THE ENGINE, THERE IS A CONTINUOUS CRANK BUT ENGINE NEVER STARTS. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW WITH 0 MILES. THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY. ONLY WAY TO AVOID THIS IS TO START IT WITH THE REMOTE START.

THE STEREO SYSTEM/HEAD END EMITS A VERY LOUD NOICE RANDOMLY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THE SOUND IS SO LOUD THAT THE IMMEDIATE INSTINCT IS TO GRAB FOR THE VOLUME CONTROLS DISTRACTING THE DRIVER FROM THE ROAD. NONE OF THE VOLUME BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL OR DASH HAVE ANY EFFECT. THE SOUND ONLY GOES AWAY WHEN THE UCONNECT SYSTEM CRASHES AND REBOOT AUTOMATICALLY. THE PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. IT IS UNCLEAR WHETHER THE SEQUENCE IS INITIATED WITH THE FORWARD COLLISION SENSOR. AT LEAST ONE EVENT SEEMED TO BE WHEN A CAR PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME VERY CLOSE IN A TRAFFIC CIRCLE WHERE I HAD TO APPLY SIGNIFICANT BREAKING. ANOTHER EVENT SEEMED TO BE AT THE LOCATION WHERE MY PREVIOUS DURANGO GAVE A FALSE POSITIVE FCW AT A CURVE IN THE ROAD NEAR A UTILITY POLE. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THERE IS SIGNIFICANT HEADS DOWN TIME FOR THE DRIVER DUE TO THE PROBLEM.

I PURCHASED A 2021 DODGE DURANGO GT FROM ARRIGO DODGE- FT PIERCE ON 12/31/20. THE PICTURE THEY HAD IN THE ADVERTISEMENT SHOWS A SPORT HOOD. THE VEHICLE WAS IN ANOTHER COUNTY SO THEY DELIVERED IT AT NIGHT TO MY HOME. BEFORE PURCHASING IT, I ASKED THE MANAGER TO DOUBLE CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE HOOD WAS IN FACT THE SPORT HOOD IN THE PICTURE ADVERTISED. HE CALLED & CHECKED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE HOOD WAS THE SPORT HOOD. IT WAS DELIVERED WITH A DIFFERENT HOOD. I BELIEVE THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I WANT THE HOOD THAT THEY PROMISED ME. NOW THE EVEN BIGGER ISSUES. I WAS WASHING MY VEHICLE WHEN I DISCOVERED A CRIMPED RUBBER PART ALONG THE DRIVER'S SIDE PASSENGER DOOR. THEN A PAINT DEFECT AROUND THE WINDOW. THEN THE DOOR BEING CROOKED AND NOT LINED WITH THE VEHICLE. WITH ALL THE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR, I BELIEVE THERE WAS TROUBLE ON THE PRODUCTION LINE. THERE IS ALSO A PIECE MISSING ON THE DRIVER'S DOOR PANEL AT THE LATCH TO OPEN THE DOOR. THE PART IS NOT THERE. THE BOLT IS EXPOSED. ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT DOOR, WHEN OPENING, THERE IS A BLACK HOSE THAT COVERS ELECTRICAL WIRING. THAT PART IS PULLED AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE WIRES ARE HANGING. I PAID $49,000 FOR THIS VEHICLE. IT IS CLEARLY NOT PUT TOGETHER WELL. IT HAS DEFECTS EVERYWHERE. ARRIGO DODGE WANTS TO TRY TO REPAIR IT. THESE ISSUES ARE NOT REPAIRABLE, THESE ARE MANUFACTURING DEFECTS. I AM REQUESTING A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE WITH THE CORRECT HOOD AS ADVERTISED. I DID NOT SPEND ALMOST $50K FOR A DEFECTED VEHICLE THAT THEY WANT TO PATCH UP. PLEASE HELP ME.
