Posche dashboard leather coming apart at the staples. I was informed that if involved in an accident the airbags might not deploy. The Porsche dealer inspected and recommended replacing it. This issue has been on going with Porsche since it first began within the first few years of owning this brand new vehicle. I was informed that this is a very common issue, and a very serious safety issue with no recall issued as of yet. Please help us
Dashboard leather has shrunk and removed staples. Dashboard leather is laying on top of airbag and may act as a deterrent to the airbag function. Was informed that the airbag may not deploy correctly. Cost to repair is >$10k due to a common material defect.
Leather dashboard is shrinking. The cut out for the passenger airbag is no longer in line and will likely result in the airbag not deploying correctly.
Leather of the dashboard began to shrink on both driver and passenger sides. The shrunk leather exposed metal staples used to keep it in place and disfigured the passenger airbag compartment. An independent mechanic suggested that, in case of an accident, an airbag may not deploy correctly and the exposed staples may become a hazard. This appears to be a common problem of Porsche owners with leather dashboards.

Catastrophic failure of Bosch CP4 high-pressure fuel pump in my 2014 Porsche Diesel Cayenne. Resulted in metal shavings/shrapnel throughout entire fuel system. Car abruptly stalled while pulling out of parking lot and was unable to restart. Had vehicle towed to nearest Porsche dealer for repairs. Quote for parts only (without labor) to repair vehicle is $29,440.47. With labor is in excess of $40,000. Car has been determined to be a total loss. My 2014 Porsche Diesel Cayenne has always been maintained at suggested intervals and all service work for the life of the car was performed by Porsche. It has been a wonderful, reliable and fun vehicle to drive prior to this horrible event. No warnings of fuel pump failure came up on vehicle warning and message system.
FACTORY INSTALLED SPARE TIRE FAILED TO INFLATE AND ATTACH TO WHEEL RIM WHEN NEEDED TO REPLACE A FLAT TIRE. NONE OF THE SERVICE TECHNICIANS WITH AAA, DISCOUNT TIRE OR PORSCHE DEALERSHIPS WERE ABLE TO DO SO. THERE WERE NO VISIBLE DEFECTS ON OR IN THE SPARE. THE TIRE HAD BEEN USED POSSIBLY ONLY ONCE BEFORE THIS INCIDENT. PORSCHE REFUSED TO REPLACE IT AND I WAS FORCED TO BUY A NEW ONE BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY
The sunroof exploded going down the highway for no reason. It exploded from the inside outward.
For the past nine years, my vehicle has recorded multiple safety issues (trunk not closing/breaking, check engine light, catalytic converter misfire, keyless electronic entry issues, glow bulb light, turn signal bulb light, windows not rolling up, leaking fluid on the passenger side, burning smell coming from the vents, electrical issues with the radio, sunroof intermittently not opening/closing and the key not turning the vehicle on. Over the past nine years, I have taken the vehicle to numerous Porsche dealerships per the federal mandate from Porsche USA / Porsche UK. To date, the Service Manager, Chris Sansbury and General Manager at Brian Harris Porsche, and Porsche USA, refuse to fix the vehicle. My vehicle is still under factory warranty. I am a person with multiple disabilities. The dealerships (Jim Ellis Porsche, Hennessy Porsche, Leith Porsche, Brian Harris Porsche) have charged me thousands of dollars. I have been extremely sick and desperately need your help. Please help me!
The contact owns a 2014 Porsche Cayenne. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed while depressing the brake pedal, the brake lights became inoperable. Another motorist informed him that the brake lights were inoperable. The contact continued to drive with the hazard lights activated. The contact noticed that the plastic plugs were clogged with leaves and dirt and water had entered the vehicle which short-circuited the electrical system. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the sunroof plastic plugs were broken, and that water had entered the vehicle. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 75,600.
When accelerating from a stop the car skips/shutters. This generally occurs gears 2-3. This problem has placed me in danger when trying to accelerate while making left hand turns.
After going through the car wash, I lost my rear brake lights and rear running lights. Still have the third brake light. From reading on many Porsche form sites, this is a common issue. The vehicle does not have adequate drains, in return, water leaks into multiple areas of the vehicle causing electrical shortages. You do not get any warning bells, or signs on the dash that you do not have rear taillights. It is a very dangerous issue.
FRONT TIMING COVER HAS LARGE LEAK. VEHICLE HAS 88,000 KMS, ALWAYS REGULARLY SERVICED AT PORSCHE DEALERSHIP IN VANCOUVER. THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH PORSCHE V8 ENGINES AND REQUIRES A FIX IN THE AMOUNT OF APPROX. $5000-8000, AS THE ENGINE HAS TO BE TAKEN OUT OF VEHICLE. AS MY VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY, THIS COST IS PROHIBITIVE OUT OF POCKET, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE VEHICLE IS RELATIVELY NEW WITH LOW KMS. PORSCHE SHOULD EITHER DO A RECALL FOR THESE ENGINES OR PROVIDE EXTENDED WARRANTY UP TO 10 YEARS FOR THE LEAKS, CONSIDERING IT IS WAY TOO COMMON. DURING THE FAILURE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT HAD ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER PORSCHE OF NEW ORLEANS LOCATED AT 3700 N CAUSEWAY BLVD, METAIRIE, LA 70002 WHO REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION TRANSFER GEAR. APPROXIMATELY 20,000 MILES LATER THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSFER GEAR WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED A SECOND TIME. IN ADDITION, THE SPEED SENSORS IN ALL FOUR WHEELS WERE FAULTY CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO RANDOMLY SLOW DOWN AND NOT ACCELERATE. THE SENSORS WERE REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.

REPLACED TRANSFER CASE FOR $4500 IN SEP 2018 AND NOW IN JUL 2020, ANOTHER 14K MILES LATER, I'M STARTING TO HEAR SIMILAR SYMPTOMS BREWING...NOT A GOOD SIGN. PORSCHE SHOULD GIVE REPLACEMENT TRANSFER CASE ANOTHER 4 YEARS WARRANTY INSTEAD OF JUST 1 YEAR.

AT ABOUT 25,000 THE CAYENNE STARTED MAKING BUMP UPON ACCELERATION AND ESPECIALLY WHEN TURNING. I UNDERSTAND THIS CAN BE A SAFETY ISSUE UNLESS ADDRESSED .THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS THE TRANSFER CASE WHICH WAS REPLACED. NOW WE HAVE 49,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND IT IS STARTING TO EXHIBIT THE SAME TRANSFER CASE SYMPTOMS AS BEFORE. IN GOOGLING THE INTERNET THIS PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE QUITE PREVALENT WITH BOTH THE PORSCHE CAYENNE AND MACAN. MOREOVER, THE COST REPLACE A TRANSFER CASE IS IN THE $5,000 WHEN OUR OF WARRANTY WHICH MY 2014 IS NOW. SINCE THIS IS SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM I WOULD HOPE PORSCHE WOULD STEP UP AND RECOGNIZE THE PROBLEM AND MAKE GOOD. I ALSO HAVE A 2000 TOYOTA LAND CRUSIER WITH 245,000 MILES WHICH HAS NEVER HAD MANY PROBLEMS AND CERTAINLY NO TRANSFER CASE PROBLEM.

POSSIBLE TO CAUSE T BONE ACCIDENT. HIGH CHANCES OF COMPLETE POWER LOSS DUE TO TRANSMISSION FAILURE DUE TO FAULTY TRANFER CASE RESULTING IN CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENT. ASK PORSCHE TO REPLACE TRANFER CASE WITH NEW DESIGNED TRANFER CASE.

THE OTHER ISSUE AFTER THE EMISSION RECALL IS THE VEHICLE ACC/PAS SYSTEM WILL ERROR OUT WHEN CRUISE ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE NEEDS TO ACCELERATE FOR AN INCLINE IN THE ROAD. THERE HAS BEEN COUPLE OF TIMES ALSO; REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE OF ACC/PAS FAILURE.

TOOK IT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE AT A GERMAN CAR REPAIR COMPANY AND ASKED THEM TO EVALUATE MY FINDINGS. THE TRANSFER CASE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HEAR THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH CAYENNES AND ITS A VERY PRICEY AND IMPACTFUL PROBLEM.

VEHICLE HAS ONLY 60K MILES ON IT, WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE ON A 3 GEAR STARTS MAKING NOISES AND DOES A LOT OF JERKING, ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP ITS A TRANSFER CASE ISSUE AND A REPAIR WILL COST $5000, THAT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE CARS, MAYBE ITS TIME FOR PORSCHE TO ACCEPT THAT RESPONSIBILLITIES AND FIX IT OR SHALL WE WAIT FOR THIS PROBLEM TO BECOME A FATAL FOR SOMEBODY?
WHEN STARTING TO MOVE A NOISE IS HEARD. DIAGNOSED AS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSFER CASE. TRANSFER CASE HAD TO BE REPLACED AT 42,900 MILES.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE CITY STREET FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES WHEN A MESSAGE "FAULT-FUEL GAUGE" POPPED UP ON MY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. TRIED TO FILL THE TANK AT THE GAS STATION BUT THEN THE TANK WAS FULL HOWEVER THE FUEL GAUGE INCORRECTLY INDICATING THE TANK IS ONLY 1/2 FULL.MESSAGE WOULD INTERMITTENTLY COME ON WHILE DRIVING. THIS VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN JUNE 2014 NOT RECALLED NOR CORRECTED BY PORSCHE MANUFACTURER IN THEIR RECALL OF 2014 MODEL. CAR MILEAGE IS ONLY 39,563 AND THIS CARS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED ON PORSCHE RECALLS. THIS PARTICULAR FAULT IS EXACTLY THE SAME FAULT AS ALL THE 2014 CAYENNE PORSCHE HAS PREVIOUSLY RECALLED.CARFAX REPORT ON THIS MODEL/VIN STATES NO RECALL. IT WOULD BE DANGEROUS TO TAKE THIS VEHICLE FOR A LONG DRIVE DUE TO INACCURACY IN FUEL GAUGE READING AS VEHICLE CAN DANGEROUSLY RUN OUT OF FUEL AND STALLING AND INCREASING RISK OF ACCIDENT.
FAILURE OF TRANSFER CASE IN TRANSMISSION AT 74000 MILES. THIS IS A WELL DESCRIBED PROBLEM AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET IN PORSCHE CAYENNES. PROBLEM HAS TO DO WITH THE DESIGN OF THE TRANSFER CASE AND PORSCHE HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS TO ME AND MANY OTHER OWNERS. AS A RESULT OF THE PROBLEM THE VEHICLE CAN LURCH FORWARD AND ALSO FAIL TO ACCELERATE CAUSING SAFETY ISSUES. PORSCHE REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING MORE THAN PAY 20% OF THIS 5000 DOLLAR REPAIR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 PORSCHE CAYENNE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE TRANSFER CASE SLIPPED. PORSCHE OF NEW ORLEANS (3700 N CAUSEWAY BOULEVARD, METAIRIE, LOUISIANA 70002, (504) 832-2112) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE FUEL GAUGE SENSOR INCORRECTLY REGISTERED THE FUEL TANK AS FULL. UPON A DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT, THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CONFIRMED THE PRETENSE OF A FAULTY FUEL GAUGE MODULE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 77,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

AT STOP, WHEN GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED, THE CAR DOES NOT ACCELERATE FOR 2-3 SEC, THEN IT "JUMPS" - IN MAY, CAR WAS TAKEN TO PORSCHE DEALERSHIP. DEALER STATED THAT THIS LAG IS NORMAL AFTER FIX, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO SUCH LAG BEFORE FIX - PORSCHE DEALERSHIP INSTALLED LATEST SOFTWARE ON THE CAR IN MAY. AFTER THAT, LAG DECREASED FROM 2-3SEC TO 2 SEC. BUT THE CAR STILL HAS ABNORMAL LAG - IT FEELS UNSAFE TO DRIVE THE CAR, WHEN MERGING TO ROUNDABOUTS, WHEN MERGING FROM THE STOP - A COMPLAINT WAS FILED WITH PORSCHE CARS OF AMERICA. REQUIREMENT OF NO "... NOTICEABLE CHANGES TO THE DRIVING CHARACTERISTICS" WAS DISCUSSED. PORSCHE SAID THAT THE PERFORMANCE IS "AS DESIGNED" - CLEARLY, WHEN CAR WAS PURCHASED IN 2014, THERE WAS NO LAG. THAT'S WHEN THE CAR PERFORMED AS DESIGNED. - EMISSION FIX NOTICEABLY CHANGED CAR DRIVING CHARACTERISTICS, IT MADE THE CAR FEEL UNSAFE. PRESSING GAS PEDAL FROM STOP DOES NOT RESULT IN SMOOTH POWER DELIVERY, IT IS NOT CLEAR IF THE CAR WILL DRIVE OR NOT FOR 2 SEC
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 PORSCHE CAYENNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A SEPARATION BETWEEN THE BUMPER AND HEADLIGHTS. AS A RESULT, WATER ENTERED THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLIES AND CAUSED ELECTRICAL FAILURES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEADLAMP BULBS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS EVIDENCE OF WATER DRAINING FROM UNDER THE DASHBOARD ONTO THE FLOORBOARD. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS A BURNING ODOR ON THE INSIDE AND THE OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BURNING ODOR WAS MORE PREVALENT AFTER THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WAS REPLACED PER A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENNESSEY PORSCHE (990 MANSELL RD, ROSWELL, GA 30076, (770) 643-6100) AND PORSCHE ATLANTA PERIMETER (4006 CARVER DR, ATLANTA, GA 30360, (888) 893-6299), BUT THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000. THE CONTACT STATED PORSCHE AND ITS VENDORS DAMAGED HER NEW TIRES. THE CONTACT REQUESTED THE TIRES BE PLUGGLED, BUT THE DEALERSHIP DECIDED TO DO OTHERWISE.
WHILE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL IS ENGAGED THE VEHICLE WILL BRAKE ON ITS OWN. THIS OCCURS WHEN THERE ARE NO OTHER VEHICLES OR OBJECTS IN SIGHT. THE VEHICLE APPLIES THE BRAKES HARD ENOUGH WHERE IF ANOTHER CAR IS FOLLOWING CLOSELY IT COULD REAR-END MY VEHICLE. I HAVE HAD THE CAR IN TO CIRCLE PORSCHE 5-6 TIMES WITH NO RESOLVE. THIS WAS FIRST REPORTED TO THE DEALER ON JUNE 29, 2015.
CAR RATTLES AND SHAKES SIGNIFICANTLY (ESPECIALLY THE REAR WHEELS) DURING ACCELERATION. TOOK THE CAR TO DEALER INFORMED ME THAT IT IS THE 'TRANSFER BOX' THAT HAS FAILED AND IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. THE ISSUE IS SO COMMON THAT PORSCHE DOES NOT HAVE PARTS AVAILABLE AND THEY ARE ON BACK ORDER. THE WAIT FOR THE PARTS TO ARRIVE COULD BE IN MONTHS. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL.
ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WE ARE NOT ABLE TO REMOVE THE ELECTRONIC KEY FROM THE IGNITION WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SELECTOR IS PLACED IN THE PARK POSITION. THIS HAS HAPPENED APPROXIMATELY 20 TIMES IN THE LAST SIX MONTHS ON THE STREET IN PARKING LOTS AND AT HOME. I HAVE VIDEO OF THE FAILURE.
I PURCHASED A 2014 PORSCHE CAYENNE DIESEL NEW IN AUGUST 2014 EQUIPPED WITH THE CONVENIENCE PACKAGE WHICH INCLUDES BI XENON HEADLIGHTS WITH "PORSCHE DYNAMIC LIGHTING SYSTEM" (PDLS). THE PDLS IS QUITE COMPLICATED AND HAS SOME GOOD FEATURES BUT IT DOES NOT ILLUMINATE DOWN THE ROAD VERY FAR AND IS DANGEROUS ON HILLY TERRAIN. SOMETHING IN THE SYSTEM MAKES THE TOP OF THE BEAM SHUT OFF SHARPLY SO IF YOU APPROACH A HILL YOU CAN NOT SEE BEYOND THE BASE OF THE HILL. EVEN REFLECTIVE SURFACES ARE NOT ILLUMINATED. I DO A LOT OF DRIVING ON HILLY TERRAIN WITH A LOT OF WILDLIFE. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION. I HAVE WRITTEN THIS UP ON EACH OF 4 VISITS TO THE PORSCHE DEALER AND THEY SAY UNTIL PORSCHE COMES UP WITH A FIX, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. PORSCHE REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
ON 11/19/2015 AT APPROX 7:20AM WHILE DRIVING THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF EMPLODED ON IT'S OWN, NOTHING HIT IT FROM THE OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. THERE WERE NO CARS AROUND ME ON THE ROAD NOR WAS THERE ANY VISIBLE SOUND OF ANYTHING HITTING US IT WAS JUST A LOUD BOOM AS THE SUNROOF SHATTERED IN AN UPWARD PATTERN AS IF IT WERE UNDER PRESSURE, ALSO CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE PAINT/BODY ON ROOF OF CAR FROM THE GLASS DEBRIS. DEALERSHIP REFUSING WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT.

I WAS EXITING THE HIGHWAY INTO A REST AREA, AND AT ABOUT 30-35MPH THE CAR'S ENGINE SUDDENLY CUT OUT. ALL THE DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS LIT UP, THE POWER STEERING FAILED, AND EVEN WITH THE BRAKE TO THE FLOOR THE CAR WOULD BARELY SLOW DOWN. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED IT AND IT DROVE NORMALLY. I'M NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE MY BRAND NEW CAR, BECAUSE IF THE ENGINE CUTS OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION OR TURNING LEFT AGAINST TRAFFIC, I COULD BE INVOLVED IN A VERY SERIOUS CRASH. THIS IS MORE THAN JUST AN INCONVENIENCE, IT IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY FLAW! IF I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN AGAINST TRAFFIC AND MY TWO YEAR OLD NIECE WAS IN HER CAR SEAT IN BACK, SHE WOULD BE DIRECTLY IMPACTED BY THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE CAR DECIDED TO STOP WORKING! *TR
LUXOR BEIGE DASHBOARD IS TOO BRIGHT AND REFLECTS IN THE WINDSHIELD CREATING BLIND SPOTS IN BRIGHT SUNLIGHT. A NEAR MISS HAPPENED BECAUSE OF THE TEMPORARY BLIND SPOT. DEPENDING ON THE GEOMETRY OF THE SUN AND THE CAR THE BLIND SPOT IN THE WINDOW FROM THE REFLECTION CAN BE ALMOST OPAQUE. IF ANOTHER VEHICLE IS SHADED IN THE REFLECTION BLIND SPOT THEN THE SHADED VEHICLE CAN BE ALMOST INVISIBLE.
SAME DAY I BOTH CAR WHEN I REACHED HOME... THE RIGHT SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT FELL OFF AND WAS HANGING FROM THE WIRE. I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING IN STOCK. AFTER 200 MILES ON MY CAR I STARTED TO HEAR A KNOCKING SOUND BETWEEN CONSOLE PANEL AND ENGINE, WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALER FIRST TIME THEY TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THAT IT?S NORMAL BECAUSE THERE IS SIMILAR SOUNDS FROM SOME OF OTHER CARS THEY HAVE IN STOCK. THEY DIDN'T SHOW ME ANY OTHER CARS THAT HAS THIS SOUND WHEN I WAS THERE. THEY STATED THAT ON THEIR REPORT THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE SOUND IS, BUT IT IS ON OTHER CARS AS WELL. I TOLD THEM THAT THE SAME MODEL CAR I TEST DROVE, DID NOT HAVE THIS SOUND, WHY WOULD THE SAME CAR HAVE SUCH A NOISE. THERE WAS NO ANSWER OR RESPONSE TO THIS QUESTION. THEY JUST STATED THAT THEY DON?T KNOW WHAT THIS. I CHECKED 2 OTHER CARS MYSELF AT THE SAME DEALERSHIP, ONE OF WHICH, THE TECHNICIAN WAS PRESENT FROM SAME DEALERSHIP. HE SAID THAT THE CAR WE CHECKED DOESN'T HAVE ANY NOISE, BUT MY CAR DOES. SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER TOLD ME TO DRIVE AROUND TO HEAR IF NOISE GETS LOUDER THEN COME BACK TO DEALERSHIP. THE KNOCKING SOUND ON AND OFF, GOT PROGRESSIVELY LOUDER. I WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THEY STILL DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS CAUSING THIS AND DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. MY CAR ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SECURITY ALARM SYSTEM, IT GOES OFF AT ANY TIME OF DAY OR NIGHT AND THEY DID NOT TRY TO RECTIFY OR RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I ALSO NOTICED FROM BEING AT THE DEALERSHIP, THAT THERE'S ALSO A PROBLEM WITH SECURITY SYSTEM ALARM ON MANY OF THE CARS. WHEELS PAINT CONSTANTLY PEELING OFF. *TR
THE CAR WOULD NOT START AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. THE SUV NEEDED TO BE TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THE FUEL GELLED AND RECOMMENDED THAT "I" HAVE THE FUEL STATION PLACE THE 'CORRECT ADDITIVE' TO THE DIESEL FUEL. MY HUSBAND HAS HAD TWO DIESEL VEHICLES FROM OTHER CAR MANUFACTURERS FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS, BUT HE HAS NEVER HAD ANY ENGINE START PROBLEMS. HE IS STILL FILLING HIS TANK AT THE SAME STATION. SINCE THEN, I HAVE CHANGED THE DIESEL FUEL STATION AND NOW GO TO ANOTHER BUSY PLACE. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TODAY, TWO (2) WEEKS LATER, WITH A DIFFERENT DIESEL FUEL SOURCE. VEHICLE WOULD NOT START (ODOMETER READS 4980 MILES) THE DEALERSHIP (FROM WHERE THE SUV WAS PURCHASED) COULD ONLY MAKE THE RECOMMENDATION TO MOVE THE VEHICLE, WHICH WON'T START, TO AN INDOOR GARAGE. IN OUR AREA, THIS IS IMPRACTICAL. VERY FEW COMPANIES AND STORES PROVIDE INDOOR GARAGES. I HAVE BEEN ON THE PHONE MULTIPLE TIMES. THE PORSCHE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO COME UP WITH ANY OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS UNTIL NOW, 7-1/2 HRS SINCE MY FIRST CALL. *TR
