Water pump failure causes rapid overheating. If the engine overheats even once, head gasket damage is likely — turning a $400 part into a $3,000+ repair.
Degraded transmission fluid destroys clutch packs and solenoids. CVT transmissions are especially sensitive — neglected fluid can result in a $4,000–$8,000 replacement.
Degraded coolant loses corrosion inhibitors and attacks aluminum engine components. Can cause head gasket failure and water pump corrosion.
Worn spark plugs cause misfires that can foul and crack catalytic converters. A $150 tune-up can prevent a $1,200 catalytic converter replacement.

We received a recall notice for a propane regulator. We contacted Camping World as directed. We made an appointment well in advance to have the part installed at Camping World, North Conway, NH. This location was the closest to where we were vacationing. We interrupted out vacation to have the part installed. I used propane during our vacation. We are now receiving phone calls from the staff at Camping World, North Conway, NH saying that the wrong part was installed and we either need to bring the camper back or pay for the part that was installed plus labor. WHY? We followed the recall notice's instructions. We inquired several times with the service personnel at Camping World, North Conway, NH that the part was in stock and available. We were assured each time we inquired that they had the correct part, and they would be able to accommodate us in a timely manner for installation of the replacement. That the interruption of vacation would be minimal. The service technician at Camping Word, North Conway, NH should have realized that they did not have the correct part. We were very limited in our time for the vacation as well as travelling back to Camping World, North Conway or anywhere else in New Hampshire. We did suggest that they send a Service Technician to our house. We were informed that was not an option. I used the propane during our vacation. Our grandchildren were with us. How much danger did we put them in? We are very upset that we can no longer use the propane in our camper safely. We are also upset that we are receiving voice mails 3 weeks after the part was put in. The person who is leaving the messages is not very polite. We feel that Camping World should send a technician free of charge to our residence to fix their mistake.
ST205/75R14 tire tread came off on the middle of highway while traveling little over 45 mph due to high traffic. Tire was inspected few days before the trip through VA state inspection and was perfectly fine to drove and passed.
Refrigerator is leaking a dangerous gas that could of exploded and caused harm to my family. We turned on the refrigerator on and three hours later I checked it unknowing that there was a leak. It burned my eyes and throat. Luckily there was no damage to myself or others but if we used the propane burner located next to the refrigerator it could of exploded and caused bodily harm. Amy wife and I inspected it further and called the dealer we purchased it from and they insisted on me paying someone to look at it. But it’s no more then two years since we purchased it. It should not be faulty so soon. Nor were there any signs that this was faulty or dangerous even after further inspection from the back. We even used it in May and it was working fine. This refrigerator should be recalled as it poses a risk to other people using it.
Rear wall not secured to frame or structure. Pulling away from side walls while in transit causing side aluminum panels to come loose. Multiple complaints and pictures online and in social media with concerns of wall falling into traffic. Keystone says ok to use. However consumers are concerned with photos worse than I have.
The brake pads fell apart inside the brake drums, leading to a near total loss of stopping power. This nearly lead to a serious accident. The entire brake assemblies were replaced under warranty.
This is the second trailer I've experienced a problem with Trailer King tires. The first time was on a 2018 Keystone Outback Ultra Lite trailer, when I discovered 3 of the tires had rounded tread rather than riding flat on the road. This problem occurred while in Arizona on a trip. Took it in to the nearest tire shop (Discount Tires), who confirmed that the tread ha separated, and replaced all four tires. I no longer have my receipt for this installation, and don't know the exact tire size, but it was on 2/21/2021 and the cost was $621.71. The latest time the tires were Trailer King RST (ST235 80/R16) : When preparing for a trip on Friday Sep 16, 2022, checked tire pressure and noticed curb side front axle tire about 5 psi low, which was unusual because all four were exactly the same every other time I checked pressure before each trip. So I added air to the tire, then notice that the tire tread was rounded just like the 2021 occasion. I drove the trailer to Discount Tires in Waxahachie, Texas who confirmed the tread separation and replaced with four Goodyear Endurance ST235 / 80R16 tires installed. Cost $945.34.
28/35/80/16 tires property inflated and within load weight limits less then 1 yr old exploded under manufacture recommended gide lines
Tire inflated and loaded to manufacturer specification Exploded without warning
Tire inflated and loaded to manufacturer specification exploded under normal use
While on a trip I periodically check the torque on the trailer wheels and pin box. While down at the tires I noticed severe tire wear on 3 of the 4 tires and had to replace them prematurely in order to continue on. Not understanding why one tire was fine I crawled underneath to find the rear suspension hanger on the roadside had broken free from the frame it was welded to. I hired a Mobile Welder to come out as the Dealer suggested to reattach the hanger however he found the hanger had actually torn into two pieces and was not equipped to make the corrections and pull the rear spring back to the location of the hanger location. Further on I noticed the rear hanger on the curbside had also fractured and upon making it to our home it had also broken in two. Inspection of the other 4 hangers finds poor and failing welds. Manufacturer has not yet agreed on a fix or payment for the corrections since receiving pictures of each limo at ion as well as the damage. The broken hanger on the roadside rubbed the adjacent gas piping near through. We do feel thankful we were not involved in an accident or had not done inspections to find the damaged propane gas piping.
There is a recall for the propane regulator. recall # 21V-708, the safety advisory 21-414. I remedied the problem by replacing the regulator with a new one myself. I advised Keystone RV company they responded and asked for a picture of the new regulator which I provided. They will not update their records of this fact and keep sending recall notices. I am hoping you can get them to fix this record issue
The dual stage propane regulator was replaced on my travel trailer on july 30 2022 at Budget RV in Royse City Tx per safety recall 71V-708. The following morning July 31st 2022 I removed the propane tank cover to check the levels on the tanks to find one hose broken away from the tank and the other cracked and about to turn loose from the tank AND BOTH TANK VALVES WERE OPEN. Both of these pigtail hoses were replaced along with the gas regulator valve the day before. On Monday morning August 1st 2022 i called the Keystone Customer Service phone number per the instructions on the recall notice and spoke with Customer Experience Agent Abby Moe. After discussing the 70 miles i would have to pull the trailer back to the dealership She advised me to email her photos of the broken hoses and i did that at 3:14 pm that day. On august 3rd i paid out of pocket for replacement pigtail hoses at a local Ace hardware due to an upcoming trip. Aug 4th Abby Moe advised me to keep the defective hoses and email her a receipt on the replacements for reimbursements. Receipt emailed at 9:14am aug 4th . Next she asked for home address and dimensions of the return box and i provided this info at 9:57 am on aug 4th. aug 5th i get a ups tracking number from Abby and instructions to look for an email form ups on how to send it back, no shipping label. 4 days later i let her know i have no email from ups. aug 10th she asked for an alternate address. i provided her with my work address at 9:25 am . new tracking number provided 10:36 am still no shipping label. Still no contact from ups by august 16th and Keystone RV. co states i need to drive 38 miles to ups store to return the defective parts. August 18th and still no refund on the gas hoses that were broken pieces of junk after a recall was performed by Keystone Rv. Co.
While on a curvy mountain downgrade outside of St Mary, MT the trailer breaks stopped working and the truck I’m driving showed the trailer breaks disconnected. Upon inspection of the breaks the wiring was completely disconnected. This happened 2-3 weeks later to a different tire. Multiple owners of Keystone Arcadia have reported the same and other related trailer break issues. Also reported incident #11470954 for the subsequent issue that happened 2-3 weeks after this.
The propane gas appears to be leaking somewhere along the pipes under the bed area. The vehicle has not been inspected after I noticed the leak by other manufacturer, police, insurance or mechanic. However, I do smell it when turned on, I installed an auto shut off propane leak detector valve and it did shut it off after awhile of not using the propane gas. I was advised by nhtsa.gov to file a complaint on line. I saw there has been gas issues with other makes and models of the same year and noticed a complaint had not been made for models by Crossroads. Please advise. Thank you.
I purchased a new Keystone Dutchman Astoria RV 3553MBP on October 23, 2021. The RV has toxic air quality which caused me to have headaches, blurred vision, no balance, confusion, sleepiness, & vomiting. I was taken by ambulance and admitted to the hospital for a couple of days. Carbon monoxide levels were elevated. RV test showed poor air quality & formaldehyde. I cannot live in my new RV because of the air quality. I have been trying to work with the dealer Blue Dog RV in Pasco, WA to get a replacement RV, but to no avail and Keystone RV has informed us to communicate with their lawyers. I paid for an extended warranty and nothing is being done to make this purchase right. There are many complaints/classaction lawsuits against the RV manufacturer Keystone for poor air quality and unacceptable customer service. How can this company get away with selling toxic RV's? Consumers must be protected from unscrupulous manufacturers and dealers selling defective RV's.
