The left and/or right side sun visor does not stay in the fully retracted position and may lower slightly due to its own weight. The problem is attributed to a broken connection point where the sun visor attaches to the vehicle. Impaired visibility, particularly in bright sunlight.

The I-Activesense camera disables all the time while driving. It disabled cruise control, LKA and LKA warning as well as auto high beams. While driving at highway speeds, when the vehicle drifts slightly over the line it does not get corrected nor do I receive ANY warning. It's almost as if the system knows it's there but doesn't want to turn on. While I was driving one day, it was very windy and the wind blew my car into the other lane slightly and almost collided with a vehicle. If the system was working that would not have happened. The problem was addressed at the dealership and I was told it was "normal". I've watched many videos on this exact model and trim. It is supposed to put my vehicle back into the center of the lane if it drifts over the lines. I will also add that every time this happens, the weather is perfect and nothing is obstructing the camera. The warning lamps that come on are the sensors disabled, auto high beams, forward collision, and cruise control

On December 13, 2025, my vehicle (2021 Mazda CX-30) was serviced at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change location. During service, the technician stated he was checking tire pressure and asked whether 36 PSI was acceptable. I agreed. When I pulled out of the bay, the tire pressure warning light remained on and showed 29 PSI. I stopped immediately and informed the technician. He then stated he could not inflate the rear-left tire because he could not remove the valve stem cap due to corrosion. This was not disclosed before the vehicle was released. The technician told me I should drive the vehicle anyway and suggested I try removing the cap myself using pliers. No written warning or safety notice was provided. On December 16, 2025, while traveling on Interstate 81, I heard a pop/rattle and the vehicle became progressively louder. A warning displayed: “TPMS Malfunction. Have the vehicle inspected.” I continued driving until I could safely exit. The tire was shredded by the time I pulled over. The incident appears consistent with progressive deflation/underinflation leading to tire failure. The vehicle was released for highway operation despite the technician’s stated inability to service the tire at the valve stem.

As reported by others, Engine Malfunction light came on. Car running rough. Mazda dealer says corroded wiring harness and $5k to replace. They bypass the conventional repair and splice it in. Within a hour of driving after pick up, same engine malfunction light and rough running returns. This time they said I need a new transmission. Electrical issues and faulty transmission are both dangerous. With as much posted online regarding the transmission, I would hope to find a recall. $10k in repairs for a barely 4 yr old car!

Received a "LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL” warning message before the regular oil change interval of 7,500. Light came on 11/20/24 after purchasing the vehicle from a Mazda dealership 8/10/24 (~3 months). Model and VIN were impacted by the Mazda Valve Stem Seal Settlement. This issue was not disclosed by the dealer.

ODI #11622433LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES

Upon opening rear hatch, loud banging/knock developed that happened on every opening. Sounded as if it were damaging the body or latch. Did online research of problem and found through Mazda owners forum Mazda TSB #09-009/23. The TSB notes the rear latch has an "internal fault in the liftgate latch and/or loose bolts." Dealers are advised to confirm the issue and replace with new latch and bolts - "This repair will be covered under Mazda's New Vehicle Limited Warranty term." My vehicle had 71,500 miles at the time of the issue, just beyond the warranty limits. I took my vehicle to the local dealership (Whitten) along with the TSB where the problem was confirmed and I was requested to approve replacement. I argued that this should be considered a recall and covered by Mazda given the language of the TSB. The dealership advised that I would need to pay for the repair and could take up the issue directly with Mazda. Therefore, I paid $512 for the latch repair because I considered the problem a potential safety issue - either it would stop opening or would not close leaving the hatch open during driving. I contacted Mazda USA requesting reimbursement for the repair given their admission that the latch was "faulty." They refused saying my vehicle was beyond the warranty period and I had approved and paid for the repair. They added that I should contact them in the future if there is a question about coverage of broken parts. Given their admission that the part installed at the factory had a fault and that this fault could result in a safety issue such as a non-closing hatch, I request that this issue become a recall, or that the warranty period be extended for this specific issue. (I would also like to be reimbursed for the cost of repairing this manufacturer's problem.)

For 4-5 weeks the car often would not start. Jump the battery and it would start. Run fine 1-2 days then require another jump. At end required jump nearly every time it was to be used. Presently at Mazda dealer. They confirm the problem. They cannot find the cause. Car has been there two weeks. Waiting for assistance from manufacturer. I researched this on the internet. Visited many Mazda forums an 'do it yourself" forums. This seems to be a common problem. NO where have I read about a satisfactory solution. In fact, it sounds like there is none. Dealer's proposal so far has been to replace rear wiring harness at $7000. It sounds to me that there is a manufacturing problem. Who ever heard of a wiring harness go bad? I believe this to be a poor electronic sensor/device, or perhaps poor wiring. Either case it would be the manufacturers fault. And I believe that the manufacturer should repair it at their expense. I grew up in a garage and never heard of anything like this. The car approximately 21000 miles. All of them are easy highway miles with no abuse or offroad/dirt road use. Yesterday my wife heard about a Subaru that was doing the same thing. Maybe someone in Japan is manufacturing faulty parts. If so that is the manufacturers problem, not mine. So far the car has not stalled going down the highway but one drives it with an uneasy feeling. Stopping without warning on the roadway would be very dangerous. Also, one could get stranded in poor conditions or environment, and that makes this a safety issue. I have attached file regarding battery etc. test I performed. These test have been confirmed by the dealer.

The contact then drove to her residence the following day. The contact stated while starting the vehicle, the vehicle jerked and the failure recurred. An unknown dealer was notified of the failure and provided an estimate for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,590.

While I was driving on I-90, I lost control of the acceleration of my vehicle. The vehicle was towed and has been diagnosed with a failed transmission! The car would not accelerate or it would accelerate in bursts or rapidly slow down. I was able to pull over and the car failed to move at all after. My safety and others was put at risk as I lost the ability to control the speed of the vehicle on a road where the speed limit is 65mph in traffic around me. When the problem began no lights illuminated, until ~30 seconds in the yellow engine failure light illuminated and then the yellow transmission failure light illuminated. The car was brought to a dealership for inspection and they diagnosed it as a transmission failure. This is unacceptable for such a young vehicle (2021). It should be noted that the car manufacturer immediately approved the replacement the same day it was diagnosed (dealership said it usually takes 48 hours), but the part is back-ordered for months (probably because they know this is happening and trying to cover it up).

I am sitting at the dealership and they are telling me nothing is wrong and despite of the valve stem cap replacement available they are not willing to replace it. In addition I had my battery die and needed to be replaced at 23 months after purchasing a brand new car - due to a faulty system. This is getting extremely upsetting. And dealearships do not care.

The car has some .kind of Electric or electronic malfunction that drains the battery and kills it without giving you a warning. I have taking it to a Mazda Dealer to be fix 4 times and they don't seem to be able to fix it.The battery was replaced.twice one by me and the second time by the dealer in an attempt to solve the problem at some point. Unfortunately just yesterday it happened again it had to towed to the Mazda dealer again for the fifth time. I really hope a solution can be found.

ODI #11576891POWER TRAIN,ENGINE

On multiple occasions, low oil warning lamp illuminates and I have confirmed low oil level. Dealer is unable to confirm and refuses to address Mazda TSB because oil level is no longer low since I topped it up. The failure lies in the valve seal assembly. My safety and that of my passengers is affected because in the event of a low oil incident, my ability to safely drive the speed limit and/or accelerate quickly is compromised. Should a catastrophic failure occur, engine would lose all power. Date of most recent incident marked below.

The accident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 14, which I reported to Enterprise, City of Falls Church, on the morning of November 15. Additionally, I provided to Enterprise email links to the many reports about breaking problems about the CX30 2021, 2022, and 2023 MAZA models and the reasons for their recall for repair. Here are the details about what happened. As I was trying to put the car in reverse from a standing position, the car, instead, lurched forward at great speed headed toward the Sun Trust bank. I had to use super-human strength to the brake pedal on the car to force it into a standing position. The damage to the car is due to scrapping some bark off one of the trees that separates the Sun Trust Bank property from the CapitalOne bank property where my car was parked.

As car in front pulls out of the lane, adaptive cruise control guns the engine to 3500-4000 rpm since there was no obstruction in front of it anymore and it wanted to go back to the 70 mph preset. During this incident the Engine Malfunction light comes on, warning to get car serviced. Upon taking it in for service they found that the thermostat needed to be replaced? This seems unlikely. I would like to report that I am not feeling safe driving my 2021 MAZDA CX-30 Premium anymore. My vehicle is affected by the MAZDA Technical Service Bulletin 01-003/23,. Subject: ENGINE OIL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT ON WITH DTC P250f:00 DUE TO LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL This is a known issue by MAZDA! It results in an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. The first time the Engine warning light with the message "Engine Oil Level Low" was displayed on May 20, 2023. the earliest appointment to get this issue diagnoised and repaired was on 06/30/2023 at the MAZDA dealer in Augusta, ME. They diagnosed the issue but were not able to repair it, since they don't have the required level of technician as outlined in TSB 01-003/23. I then had to reach out to another MAZDA dealer, Thompson Mazda in Waterville, ME. They ignored my complaint over the phone, not accepting that this issue was already corectly diagnosed by the other MAZDA dealer in Augusta, ME. I contacted MAZDA of North America Customer Relations but didn't get any support so far. They told me the earliest date to get the vehicle diagnoesed and possibly repaired would be end of September. I told them that this is unacceptable and I don't feel safe driving the vehicle with this known issue.

The low engine oil warning light keeps coming on, and there’s appears to be no visible leak. I add about a quart each time this happens and it does fine for a while. The last time I took it to the dealership, I told them about it. They just said they didn’t see a leak and not to worry about it. Ultimately the issue is how will this impact the longevity of my engine?

After setting the adaptive cruise control, and overriding it with the accelerator pedal when approaching a vehicle in front of me to pass it, my vehicle briefly accelerated hard while switching lanes after clearing the vehicle in front of me. This happened even though I had taken my foot off the accelerator already. My current speed was also slightly higher than the set cruise speed. E.g. I set it to 75, I was driving 77 and it jumped up to 80 for a short while before settling back to 75. This acceleration happened right as I cleared the vehicle in front of me and I was in the other lane. You can feel the sudden acceleration. It is as if the radar noticed the vehicle wasn't in front of it any more so it accelerated disregarding the current speed or accelerator position.

I purchased a Mazda CX-30 October 2021 - in April of 2022 the oil light came on mileage 4,672 and I decided to have just have the oil changed at Hello Mazda of San Diego. They said they wouldn't charge me for the oil only the service charge. And mentioned that something is wrong and will top the oil off at no charge in the future. Last month in November I took a short trip to Tucson AZ to visit family the oil light came on once again mileage 10,079 I brought the car into Jim Click Mazda Tucson and after several hours I got the car back. They had topped off the oil with no charge. I asked how low the oil was. The service man quickly said just a little low under a quart. I have the 2.5 liter turbocharged engine in my CX-30. It currently has approximately 18,000 miles after a little over a year of ownership. So far I have had to put in 3 quarts of oil in that time. The engine/low oil indicator comes on about every 4,000 miles. When I check the oil, it shows that it is down a quart. I have taken it in for regular service (oil and filter, tire rotation) twice now, and have brought this to the attention of the service advisor who tells me that this is normal for turbo engines. I disagree with this assessment. I will bring it up again later this week when it goes in for its third service. No new car should consume oil at the rate this one does. I have also observed blue smoke from the exhaust on start-up. I owned another turbo Mazda model a few years ago that did not do this. I have found what appears to be a technical service bulletin from Mazda regarding all turbocharged 2021 models built prior to September 2021. (TSB-01-012-21) My greatest concern is that this will only become worse and end up causing major damage to the engine and/or make the car unsafe to drive.

While driving, Low Engine Oil light illuminated. Vehicle has 9968 miles at time of incident and had one oil change at 5873 miles. So in the span of 4095 miles, engine had burned enough oil that none was showing on dipstick at time of incident. Vehicle was taken to dealership where it was confirmed that there were no leaks and the engine was consuming oil at a rapid rate. Mazda has issued a bulletin to dealerships concerning this issue, so the company is aware a problem exists with this engine. Had the oil level decreased to a low enough level, the engine could have feasibly failed, which could have resulted in a dangerous situation if it happened on the highway or in heavy traffic. Mazda currently has no fix and encourages that oil be added when necessary. Given the unpredictable frequency of the oil consumption, this does not feel like a safe solution, putting the onus entirely on the owner.
