It is an unfortunate fact that since moving to area Federal Hill this vehicle and driver has been illegally surveillanced the car has been broken into with no signs of forced entry. As usual the billboard is visible for locals to observe. My only issue is waiting to act. The vehicle is legal with no visible or internal issues. I drive the vehicle at a safe speed to avoid traffic accidents. There was a state inspection failure with no real reason, another issue. Cars have specifically attempted to run me off the road. From BWI to Downtown Baltimore.
Upon arriving at my destination and after i put my in park i was UNABLE to turn my engine off because the ignition was stuck in that position. I ultimately had no choice but to unhook the battery cables along with disconnecting the alternator to get my engine to turn off. Prior to this incident occasionally upon starting my car the ignition would not disengage immediately upon the engine turning over which ultimately resulted in having to replace the starter on this vehicle. I am a single parent and only have one vehicle so this is a major issue for my family. Furthermore the fan speed control knob doesnt work properly because when it is put in position 3 it shuts the fan motor off completely. So there CLEAR to me that there seems to be a MAJOR electrical issue. The suspension on this vehicle is horrendous. I cannot go above 45mph without by car wanting to go into on-coming traffic or off of the road or trying to flip over on its side because the shocks/struts on the passenger side are not working properly. I have not used this vehicle for any other purpose then to transport myself and children to and from work/school/appointments. Everyone i spoke to about this particular vehicle has said that these vehicles were manufactured poorly and repairs come at a high cost.

THERE HAS BEEN A LEAK FROM THE FUEL TANK SINCE 2006 WITHOUT ANY ACCIDENT TO THE VEHICLE AND AM HAVING DIFFICULTY FINDING ONE TO REPLACE IT. ONE CAR PARTS ATTENDANT INFORMED ME OF THE RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM.
MY GRANDSON AND I WERE SHOPPING, THEN I FILLED MY GAS TANK. WE THEN WENT INTO THE GROCERY STORE CAME OUT, SMELLED GAS AND LOOKED UNDER CAR. IT IS LEAKING GAS, WE HURRIED HOME--WENT FROM FULL TANK TO 1/4 FULL TANK IN 58 MILES. IT IS SITTING AND NOT DRIVEN. AND I HAVE A 2003 RENDEZVOUS THAT HAS A GAS SMELL THAT IS VERY STRONG BUT HASN'T LEADED OUT GAS YET.

THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 07V349000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 109,694.

NO ACCELERATION,WHEN I GO UP A HILL NO ACCELERATION, OR WHEN I GO TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY NO ACCELERATION, AND VERY DANGEROUS. I WENT TO DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND I REPLACED FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR AND VENT SOLENOID, NO ACCELERATION. I WENT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTIC. THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I REPLACE 3 ELECTRICAL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS $1350 DOLLARS PARTS AND LABOR TOO MUCH FOR ME AND THAT MAY NOT SOLVE MY PROBLEM. I TOLD THEM THE PROBLEM WAS CORROSION IN THE CONNECTORS TO THE FUEL PUMP $160 DOLLARS LATER THEY AGREED WITH ME. STILL DANGEROUS.
TAKATA RECALL CLOSED PASSENGER DOOR ON A HILL, WHICH CAUSED IT TO SLAM SHUT, PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG WENT OFF, CAR WAS PARKED AND NOT ON.
THE ABS WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WIRE HARNESS HAS A FAILURE ISSUE. THIS LEADS TO THE ABS SYSTEM ACTIVATING WITHOUT A WARNING LIGHT TURNING ON AND CAN INCREASE THE STOPPING DISTANCE WHEN NOT NECESSARY. THE TRANSMISSION MAY SEEM TO CLUNK WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP AS THE COMPUTER DOESN'T READ THE CORRECT SPEED SENT FROM THE HUB ASSEMBLY TO THE COMPUTER. PREVIOUSLY, I HAD A HUB ASSEMBLY REPLACED AND THE PROBLEMS STILL EXISTED. AFTER REPLACING THE WIRES THE PROBLEMS HAVE NOT RESURFACED.
I PURCHASED A 2004 BUICK RENDEZVOUS FROM A CAR DEALERSHIP, 2 CAR GUYS LLC, IN YORK, PA ON 7/10. AT THE TIME I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE PURCHASE WITH THE LOW STICKER PRICE OF 4K, LOW MILEAGE OF 68K, AND THE 5/18 INSPECTION. THE CAR, AFTER CHECKING THE ENGINE AND FRAME, ITSELF SEEMED TO BE IN DECENT CONDITION AND I BROUGHT IT HOME THAT DAY. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE CAR FOR TWO WEEKS AND EVEN MADE A LONG TRIP TO ALTOONA, PA WITH MY FAMILY. THEN EARLIER THIS WEEK I NOTICED SOME ISSUES WITH THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE BRAKE. I TOOK IT IN TO MR. TIRE ON 7/26 FOR A BRAKE EXAMINATION. THE TECHNICIANS AT MR. TIRE COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAKES AND EVEN MENTIONED THAT THEY WERE NEW. I WANTED THEM TO TEST DRIVE IT DOUBLE CHECK AND THEN AFTER THEY RETURNED THEY THOUGHT MAYBE A CALIBER WAS LOCKING UP ON IT. SO THEY LIFTED THE CAR AGAIN AND REALIZED THAT THE FRAME ITSELF WAS EXPANDING. SO THEY STUCK IT ON A LARGER LIFT TO ENSURE THAT THAT FRAME WOULD BE SHREDDED. THE LEAD TECHNICIAN BROUGHT ME OUT TO LOOK AT THE FRAME ITSELF. BOTH SIDES OF THE FRAME HAD BEEN FILLED WITH FOAM INSULATION AND THEN SPRAY PAINTED WITH BLACK PAINT TO MATCH THE FRAME. SOMEONE HAD WENT TO A LOT OF EFFORT MASK THE ERODED FRAME. THE GUYS FROM MR. TIRE MENTIONED THAT NO WAY THAT COULD PASS A STATE INSPECTION LOOKING LIKE THAT. I LOOKED UNDERNEATH THE CAR AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE AND WAS UNABLE TO SEE THE CAMOUFLAGED RUST. THREE TECHNICIANS WERE UNDER THAT CAR THE FIRST TIME THE BUICK WAS LIFTED OFF THE GROUND AND DID NOT NOTICE THE "SLIDE OF HAND". I WOULD HAVE NEVER EVEN TEST DRIVEN THE CAR WITH MY SON KNOWING THAT IT WAS UNSAFE FOR THE ROAD.

DASH GAUGES, WARNING LIGHTS, & ALARMS, BELLS FLASH ON & OFF AND VEHICLE SUDDENLY RUNS ROUGH. DASH CODES OF ALL SORTS BLINK ON & OFF. NEW BATTERY AND NEW ALTENATOR INSTALLED, PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THIS HAPPENED FIRST WHEN DRIVING ON HIWAY. AFTER VEHICLE PULLED OFF ROAD AND ENGINE TURNED OFF. THE DASH CODE THEN READ BATTERY ISSUE. WE TRIED TO DRIVE AGAIN BUT NOW VEHICLE OPERATED ROUGHLY AND THERE WAS NO MORE DAYLIGHT. WE HAD VEHICLE TOWED 100 MILES. THEN PAID FOR NEW BATTERY PROBLEM DID NOT CHANGE SO WE HAD A NEW ALTENATOR INSTALLED AFTER HAVING A DIAGNOSTIC TEST ADVISING THE NEED FOR A NEW ALTENATOR. I AM QUITE UPSET BECAUS EI FEEL THAT THERE IS FRAUD ON PART OF SEARS AUTOREPAIR. DIAGNOSTIC SAID ALTENATOR WAS THE PROBLEM. I PAID OVER $450 FOR THAT SERVICE AND ANOTHER $150 FOR THE BATTERY.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 8-34895551467. I ALSO HAD THE SIDE SEAR FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG DEPLOY WHEN A FRIEND CLOSED THE SEATBELT IN THE DOOR. THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE, HOWEVER IT WAS NOT IN MOTION. RECENTLY THE CABIN IS FILLING WITH THE SMELL OF GAS FUMES WHILE AT IDLE AND FILLING AT GAS STATION. THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLS CAUSING THE STEERING AND BRAKES TO BE LESS EFFECTIVE. THIS COULD EASILY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO 2 DIFFERENT BUICK DEALERS FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIPS HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE IGNITION RELAY HAVE BOTH BEEN REPLACED AND ALL THE ELECTRICAL CONTACTS HAVE BEEN CLEANED AND CHECKED. THESE REPAIRS HAVE NOT FIXED THE VEHICLE. I HAD A TRANSMISSION REPAIR AT AN AMMCO TRANSMISSION OUTLET. AS A RESULT OF THE REPAIR MY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAS NOT WORKING THE FIRST DAY THE CAR WAS DECLARED REPAIRED. WHILE DRIVING ON A SLIPPERY HIGHWAY, MY RENDEZVOUS WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH WHICH CONSISTED OF A LEFT FRONT/SIDE COLLISION WITH A CONCRETE GUARDRAIL AND A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH A METAL GUARDRAIL ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF THE HIGHWAY. SPEEDS OF THESE COLLISIONS RANGED FROM APPROX. 40MPH TO 25MPH (FIRST/FRONT SIDE COLLISION @40MPH AND SECOND/FINAL HEAD ON COLLISION @ 25MPH). IN NEITHER COLLISION DID THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY. 2004 BUICK RENDEZVOUS QUITS RUNNING. ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. DEALER REPLACED PCM AND SOME PART OF A WIRING HARNESS. CAR WAS GOOD FOR 3 MONTHS AND THEN THE PROBLEM CAME BACK. HAD IT TOWED TO A GARAGE THAT DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED MODULES AND WHATEVER. CAR WAS GOOD FOR A MONTH AND THEN TODAY IT QUIT RUNNING AGAIN. I HAVE A 2004 BUICK RENDEZVOUS THAT I BOUGHT IN 2004 WITH 9000 MILES ON IT. AT 32000 MILES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE DEALER SAID THE NUMBER THREE CYLINDER WAS MISFIRING. HE RESET THE THE CYLINDER AND 10000 MILES LATER IT IS DOING IT AGAIN. ALSO AT 42000 I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE BOTH FRONT AND REAR BREAKS ALONG WITH THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND THE MASTER CYLINDER. THE VEHICLE ROLLED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, ROLLED 100 FEET THEN CRASHED INTO A FENCE. THE CHILD ESCAPED UNHARMED ALTHOUGH THERE WAS DAMAGED SUSTAINED TO THE VEHICLE AND THE FENCE. THE POLICE WERE NOT NOTIFIED SINCE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED ON PRIVATE PROPERTY. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS ALSO NOT NOTIFIED.

THE LOCKS DID NOT UNLOCK THE DOOR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE ON AND OFF TO UNLOCK THE DOORS AND THE MANUAL LOCKS DID NOT ALWAYS WORK. IN EARLY OCTOBER, THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWED ABOUT 3/8 TANK REMAINING. LOW FUEL LIGHT CAME ON . RAN OUT OF GAS ABOUT 1 MILE LATER. LITERALLY COASTED INTO THE GAS STATION AND HAD TO BE PUSHED TO A PUMP. NOW I FILL THE TANK REMAINING THE "GAUGE" READS 1/2 TANK. *NM

PURCHASED 2004 BUICK RENDEZVOUS 6/22/2005 AND WHILE TRAVELING TO WORK ON BUSY BELT-LINE WAITING IN TRAFFIC, THE VEHICLE JUST SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY AND BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. PUT VEHCILE IN NEUTRAL AND IT RESTARTED. LATER FOUND THAT PRESETS IN RADIO HAD ALL BEEN ERASED WHICH WOULD INDICATE A COMPLETE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL POWER. THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THE POSSIBILTY OF REAR END COLLISIONS. HAVE READ OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE WITH OUT RESOLUTION. VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING, WHEN DRIVING ABOUT 20 MPH THERE WAS A WARNING LIGHT WHICH SHOWED A BATTERY. THEN THE VEHICLE WAS CHECKED, WAS PUT ON A BATTERY TESTER, NO PROBLEM APPEARED. DEALER TOLD OWNER THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE INITIAL RELAY, AND THIS WAS REPAIRED. YESTERDAY THE IGNITION WAS CONTINUING TO CRANK. THIS PROBLEM JUST HAPPENED EVERY DAY, BUT NOT EVERY TIME WHILE DRIVING. . THE VEHICLE WAS REGULARLY SERVICED.*AK
I BROUGHT A BUICK RENDEVOUZ ON JULY 17,2004. FROM THE VERY FIRST WEEK I HAD IT I TOLD THE DEALER THE GAS GAGE DOESNOT WORK PROPERLY. THEY CHECKED IT OVER AND STILL CANNOT FIND AHYTHING WRONG WITH IT. AND IT STILL NOT WORKING PROPERPLY NOW BUT THEAT IS NOT THE BIGGEST ISSU WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST INCIDENT 10.10.04. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY TO WORK WHEN THE VEHILCE JUST STALLS OUT. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE CAR GET ROLLING FOR A COUPLE OF SCEONDS AND THEN I APPLIED THE BRAKE PUT THE CAR IN PARK. A COUPLE OF SECONDS LATER I STARTED THE TRUCK UP AND BEGIN DRIVING. I DROPPED THE TRUCK OFF TO THE DEALER AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAD OCCURRED. THEY REPLACED A APART AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. SINCE THEN THE VIDHILCE HASE STALLED OUT OVER 10 TIMES. AND SOMEDAY IT STALLS OUT TWICE A DAY. I HAVE BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY KEEP CHANGEING AND REPLACING PARTS BUT ITS NOT FIXING THE STALLING OUT. I AM SCARED THAT ME AND MY DAUGHTER WILL KILLED FROM IT STALLING OUT. THEY JUST CHANGED SOMETHING WITHT THE TRANSMISSON AND NOW IT BACK IN THE SHOP WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.
2004 BUICK RENDEZVOUS WAS STRUCK IN THE RIGHT FRONT CORNER YET THE AIR BAGS NEVER DEPLOYED.***NO ANSWER REQUIRED***. *MR THE CONSUMER WAS GIVEN SEVERAL REASONS WHY THE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY. ONE WAS THAT THE VEHICLE WASN'T TRAVELING FAST ENOUGH, THE SECOND WAS THAT THE SENSOR WAS NOT ACTIVATED ON IMPACT AND THE THIRD ONE WAS THAT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN SOME TYPE OF AIR BAG DEFECT. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED TOTALED BY THE CONSUMER'S INSURANCE COMPANY. *NM

CALLED LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO BRING IN. THEY SAID THERE WAS A BULLENTIN REGARDING THIS ISSUE AND REPLACED THE FUSE BOX. THE 2ND INCIDENCE AFTER THE FUSE BOX WAS REPLACED HAPPENDED 5/27/05. MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND IT STALLED WHILE HE WAS DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT. CAR DID START UP AGAIN. CALLED DEALERSHIP AND BROUGHT CAR IN. THEY CAN NOT LOCATE THE PROBLEM. I ASKED WHAT HAPPENS IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN AND THEY ADVISED TO JUST KEEP BRINGING IT IN AFTER IT HAPPENS TO EXAMINE CAR. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS MY 3RD RENDEZVOUS AND MY FIRST RENDEZVOUS (2001) THIS EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED EXCEPT I WAS ON THE TURNPIKE DRIVING 55 MPH WHEN IT STALLED AND DIDN'T START RIGHT BACK UP AND HAD TO BE TOWED. (STATE TROOPERS WERE INVOLVED WITH THIS INCIDENCE) THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT LOCATE THE PROBLEM. NEEDLESS TO SAY SINCE I WAS A GM EMPLOYEE THEY DID A COLLATERAL TRADE SINCE I REFUSED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE SAFETY ISSUE.
THE CONSUMER STATED THAT WHEN THE MIDDLE ROW SEAT WAS FOLDED IN THE UP POSITION, HE IS UNABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR THE PASSENGERS IN THE THIRD ROW UNLESS THEY UNFOLD THE SECOND ROW SEATS. MY SECOND COMPLAINT (10110658). I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 55 - 65MPH; WHEN I SLOWED DOWN AS I WAS APPROACHING THE LIGHT, THE CAR CUT OFF. I SHIFT THE GEAR BACK TO PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND PROCEEDED. THE CAR HAD BEEN WARM FOR 20 MINUTES AND IT WAS AROUND 7:40 A.M. IN THE MORNING. THIS IS AT LEAST THE 8TH INCIDENT WHERE I'VE BEEN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND HAVING TO RESTART MY VEHICLE. I'M CONCERNED ABOUT A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT IN THE NEAR BY FUTURE. AFTER TAKING IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IN FEBRUARY, THEY SUGGESTED THAT I TRIED USING FUEL FROM MORE REPUTABLE GAS STATIONS SUCH AS SHELL, TEXACO, AMOCO. USING BETTER GAS HAS NOT RESOVED THIS PROBLEM.*AK
WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH IN INCLEMENT WEATHER WINDSHIELD WIPERS FAILED. THIS CAUSED POOR VISIBILITY. DRIVER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK BOTH WIPER ARMS SNAPPED AND INTERLOCKED WHEN PUT THEM INTO OPERATION FOR THE FIRST TIME, THESE ARMS OVERLAP'S ONE ANOTHER WITH A VERY CLOSE TOLERANCE. WIPER ON PASSENGER SIDE DEFORMED AND TWISTED AS IT PULLED AWAY FROM THE OTHER AFTER INTERLOCKING. RUBBER BLADE PULLED OUT LEAVING THE METAL ARM TO SWEEP THE WINDSHIELD AND SCRATCH ON THE GLASS. *BF *NM
WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WOULD JUST SHUT DOWN. THIS CAUSED ALL THE FUNCTIONS OF THE VEHICLE TO BECOME INOPERABLE. THERE WAS NO WARNING. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AGAIN FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS. THE CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER. HOWEVER, THE PROBLEM RECURRED. *AK IN ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM THE IGNITION RELAY #59 IN THE FUSE BOX AND THE DAMPNESS/CORROSION ON THE TERMINALS TO THE BODY CONNECTOR OF THE FUEL PUMP WERE REPLACED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. *SC
THE VEHICLE WILL STOP RUNNING AND INDICATE THAT THERE IS LOW FUEL AND/OR NO FUEL, WITH A VISUAL DISPLAY (FLASHING LIGHT) AND AN AUDIBLE DISPLAY (DINGING BELL). THE CAR WILL SHUTDOWN. PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE WILL RESTART, BUT THE VISUAL AND AUDIBLE DISPLAY WILL STILL BE PRESENT. THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY HAS WELL OVER 1/2 A TANK OF GAS AT THIS POINT. THE DEALER HAS REPLACED THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE, THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. ADDITIONALLY, THE DRIVER STEERING COLUMN DOES NOT LOCK INTO THE UPPER LIMIT LOCATION AND WIGGLES FREE VERY EASILY. THE VEHICLE IS DIFFICULT TO GET OUT OF PARK ON OCCASIONS AND WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK AND/OR BACK INTO PARK, THE DOORS VERY FREQUENTLY DON'T LOCK AND UNLOCK AS THEY SHOULD. FINALLY, THE ELECTRONIC COMPASS NO LONGER FUNCTIONS AS IT SHOULD, I'VE RESET IT THREE TIMES AND IT CONTINUES TO ONLY GO IN SOUTHERLY DIRECTIONS (SW, S, SE) AND THE FUEL MONITORING SYSTEM (GALLONS USED, MILES LEFT TO EMPTY, ETC.) NO LONGER FUNCTION AS THEY SHOULD EITHER.*AK

THE RENDEVOUS WAS STRUCK BETWEEN THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR AND THE DRIVER REAR WHEEL WELL CAUSING THE RENDEVOUS TO FALL OVER ON ITS PASSENGER SIDE, SLIDE 15-30 FEET, HIT AN EMBANKMENT AND ENDED UP ON ITS 4 WHEELS AGAIN. *JB

THE WINDSHIELD WIPER WASHER KEEPS FREEZING UP DUE TO POOR DESIGN. THIS MAKES THE REMOVAL OF DEBRIS FROM WINDSHIELD IMPOSSIBLE. WHICH REDUCES THE DRIVER'S VISIBILITY THAT COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN SERVICED SEVERAL TIMES FOR THIS ISSUE, IN WHICH ALCOHOL HAS BEEN ADDED TO THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID TO THAW THE WINDSHIELD WIPER WASHER. THIS IS ONLY A TEMPORARILY FIX. *JB *TT

PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON 7/15/04, 3 DAYS LATER UPON STARTUP THE SECURITY LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON AND STAYED ON UNTIL THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. DEALER REPLACED A BODY CONTROL MODULE AND THAT SOLVED THE PROBLEM. IN OCTOBER 04, THE ENGINE STALLED WHILE PULLING INTO A PARKING SPACE; AS THE ENGINE STALLED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. VEHICLE RESTARTED AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED OFF. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER AND SEVERAL BODY CONTROL MODULES WERE REPLACED. DURING THIS TIME HAD AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH THE RADIO NOT HOLDING PRESETS, ALSO UPON STARTUP THE RADIO WOULD RANDOMLY PICK A STATION THAT WAS NOT PRESET. DEPENDING ON HOW SHARP A TURN YOU MAKE,IE A VERY SHARP LEFT TURN, THE VEHICLE PULLS SEVERELY TO THE LEFT. SOMETIMES IF YOU DRIVE SEVERAL MILES IT WILL EVENTUALLY RETURN TO CENTER. I EXPERIENCE THE SAME STEERING PROBLEM AFTER A RIGHT TURN, THE VEHICLE PULLS RIGHT, BUT THE RIGHT PULL DOES NOT SEEM AS SEVERE AS THE LEFT PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THIS PROBLEM COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT, AND WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD BE THE RESULT. (3)NOTHING THE DEALER HAS DONE, REPLACED TIE ROD ENDS,CHECKED FOR BINDING ON STEERING, SUPPOSEDLY ALIGNED FRONT WHEELS, ROTATED TIRES, HAD ANY EFFECT ON PROBLEM. DEALER STATES THEY DROVE A 2002, 2003, 2004 RENDEZVOUS AND THEY ALL HAVE EXHIBITED THE SAME CHARACTERISTICS THE VEHICLE IS OPERATING AS DESIGNED. THIS BEING THE CASE I THINK THIS NEEDS A VERY CAREFUL INVESTIGATION AS THERE ARE A LOT OF VEHICLES ON THE ROAD THAT ARE A POTENTIAL HAZARD FOR HEAD ON COLLISIONS WITH THE STEERING PULLING TO THE LEFT AS IT DOES. *JB
SUDDENLY ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL IN TRAFFIC WHILE BEING DRIVEN. THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS ALL GO OFF, THE RADIO WASHES OUT THE PRESETS, WHEN THE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF SOMETIMES THE RADIO PRESETS ARE ERASED. MANY TIMES THE AUTO LOCKS AND UNLOCKS WHEN SITTING IN THE LOT. THE DEALER HAS WORKED ON IT AT LEAST FIVE TIMES, TWO ENGINE CONTROL MODULES, A NEW WIRING HARNESS, THE AUTO HAS HAD ITS RADIO "RECALIBRATED" THIS THING IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT KEEPS SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. DEALER SAYS HE HAS HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH SIMILAR CARS, AND THAT THEY CONTINUE TO BEHAVE IRRATIONALLY. OBVIOUSLY AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, GM DENIES THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG, BUT WHEN IT SHUTS OFF GOING 0-60 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY THERE IS A PROBLEM. NOT TO MENTION THAT WHEN THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS SHUT OFF, OR THE RADIO STARTS TO ACT UNUSUAL IT IS VERY UNSAFE ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. ONE TIME THE STEERING WHEEL RADIO BUTTON WERE SWITCHED, SEEK WAS BAND, AND BAND SEEK. *JB

DEALER RAN SCAN TEST AND FOUND MULTIPLE LOST OF COMMUNICATION FAILURES AT MULTIPLE MODULES. UPON DIAGNOSTICS FOUND BUSSED ELECTRICAL CENTER CONNECTORS NOT TORQUED TO SPECS. TIGHTENED ALL CONNECTORS AT BEC AND ROAD TESTED. VEHICLE RETURNED OK ON 7/29/04. ON 8/5/04 VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED WHILE TRAVELING 60 MILES PER HOUR ON INTERSTATE 4 IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ENDANGERING DRIVER AND PASSENGER. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES VEHICLE RESTARTED AND VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO DEALER ON 8/6 /2004. DEALER STATED DIAGNOSTICS FOUND MULTIPLE FAILURE CODES SETTING. PER GM TECH ASSISTANCE CENTER WAS ADVISED TO REPLACE IGNITION SWITCH AND ROAD TEST. REPLACED IGNITION SWITCH AND ROAD TESTED VEHICLE. VEHICLE RETURNED OK ON 8/10/04. UPON PICKING THE VEHICLE UP ON 8/10/04 FROM THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN SEVERAL MILES ON ROUTE 50 AND SUDDENLY STALLED WHILE TRAVELING 45 MILES PER HOUR ENDANGERING THE DRIVER. AFTER SITTING SEVERAL MINUTES THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND WAS IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE AGAIN STALLED UPON ARRIVING AT THE DEALER . DEALER CURRENTLY HAS THE VEHICLE . THE VEHICLE MUST BE REPAIRED TO PREVENT FURTHER STALLING SINCE DRIVER AND ANY PASSENGERS ARE IN DANGER ALONG WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLES IN CLOSE PROXIMITY. THE DEALER AND BUICK HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE THAT THE STALLING CREATES A HAZARDOUS CONDITION FOR THE DRIVER AND THE PUBLIC. DUE TO THE REPETITION OF SUCH STALLING THAT HAS OCCURRED ANY FUTURE HAZARDS CREATED BY THIS MALFUNCTION ARE FORESEEABLE BY THE DEALER AND BUICK. AS SUCH, WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT THE VEHICLE BACK UPON THE DEALER'S AND BUICK'S ASSURANCE THAT IT SAFE TO DRIVE AT THE POSTED SPEED LIMITS ON THE PUBLIC HIGHWAYS. THE DEALER HAS NOT DETERMINED THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONSUMER BELIEVES SHE SHOULD BE GIVE A NEW VEHICLE SINCE THE PROBLEM CANNOT SEEM TO BE PERMANENTLY RESOLVED. *NM

IT IS MY OPINION THE VEHICLE DESIGN LEAVES THE LOW HANGING HOSE (LIKE A RADIATOR HOSE) THAT CONNECTS TO THE NECK OF GAS TANK WAY OVER EXPOSED WITHOUT ANY SHEILDING FOR ROAD HAZARDS...IE DEBRIS...LUCKY FOR ME IT BROKE OF WHEN MY TANK WAS LOW. REPLACENT OF NEW TANK WAS $610 TOTAL COST WITH TAX AND LABOR WAS $778 TOTAL. *AK
