There is no specific incident, but this Recall is 11 months old, and Ford still has not provided the remedy or parts. Our car could catch fire. What is the delay from Ford? They should replace my unsafe vehicle with a brand new one. Possible Engine Fire situation.
UNKNOWN. RECALL was issued nearly a year ago with no other information or repairs scheduled. The recall seems pretty dangerous to not be addressed for this long.
My vehicle is currently experiencing drivability issues including: * Wrench warning light with “See Manual” message, * Hesitation during acceleration, * Intermittent reduced engine power, * Prior fuel odor concerns, * Unsafe acceleration response while driving.
The affected component is the fuel injector system covered under Ford’s safety recall. According to the recall notice, a fuel injector may crack and allow fuel and/or fuel vapors to accumulate on top of the engine, creating a risk of fire if exposed to hot engine or exhaust components. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The safety risk is significant because the defect involves the potential for an under-hood fire while driving or while the vehicle is parked after operation. I use this vehicle as my primary means of transportation and have concerns about my safety and the safety of passengers due to the possibility of a fire occurring before a repair is available. The issue has been confirmed by Ford through its issuance of the safety recall. I have contacted Ford and dealership service departments regarding the recall. However, I have been informed that repair parts are not yet available, leaving the vehicle unrepaired despite the acknowledged safety defect. The vehicle has been inspected by authorized Ford dealerships in connection with related concerns. I have also communicated directly with Ford regarding the recall and the lack of an available remedy. No specific warning lights or messages related to a cracked fuel injector appeared prior to my awareness of the defect. My concern arises from Ford’s recall notice identifying a condition that may lead to fuel leakage and an engine compartment fire. Because parts are unavailable, I am unable to have the safety defect corrected despite Ford’s acknowledgment of the risk.
2023 Ford Bronco Sport purchased 2 years ago with only 1 minor recall. I’ve had to replace my water pump already and it’s had a fuel injector recall (amongst others) in place for over a year and FORD is unable to remedy due to not having parts. This could cause a fire in my engine and is a major safety risk. On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, yet ANOTHER recall, making that 14 TOTAL recalls on the 2023 Bronco Sport, with a DO NOT DRIVE ADVISORY due to a suspension failure, was issued. These issues are incredibly unsafe and put drivers at a very serious risk of injury or death. I attempted to work with a local Ford dealership in hopes they would buy the vehicle back however they REFUSED unless I traded it in for another vehicle on their lot. Otherwise, I would have had to PAY FORD $2,000 to make up the difference in “value” (I disputed the value as I had one KBB report and they had a “different” one) and my loan payoff. I stated several times I cannot put thousands of dollars down to purchase a new vehicle at this time; however, I do not want to drive this unsafe hazardous vehicle for another day. They would not work with me at all nor did they offer to fix it or even look at the vehicle. Under NO circumstances should an owner have to pay Ford for their negligence and poor manufacturing, especially with a recent DO NOT DRIVE ADVISORY issued, no matter how much the owner owes on their loan. This is 100% a FORD issue, not a user issue, not wear and tear issue. These recalls are wildly unsafe and defective issues that lie within FORD that we as owners, should not bear the burden for. How is FORD being held accountable and at what point will they start buying these unsafe and terrible cars back without penalizing the owners? It seems far more logical and safe to buy back and lose out on $2,000 rather than taking the risk on paying millions and millions of dollars in lawsuits. This is a disgusting business practice on behalf of FORD and they should be held accountable.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. While the contact’s girlfriend was driving approximately 75 MPH, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stalled. During the failure, the exterior lighting became inoperable, and several messages were displayed, including the message "No Key Detected". After exiting the vehicle, the doors locked and could not be unlocked. The child and child car seat located in the rear seat of the vehicle were manually shifted to the front driver’s side door and removed from the vehicle. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,000.
We have been waiting for this solution to this recall and it’s made my family nervous to have vehicles that can catch fire at any point Our mental health has suffered
Ford Safety Recall 25S76, NHTSA Recall 25V467 is now 11 months old with no notice yet of a repair available. This seems too long.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that there was an abnormally strong exhaust and fuel odor coming the A/C vents while driving, and the odor was significantly noticeable while idling. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the catalytic converter was replaced, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts unavailability. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was contacted several times. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
This is in regards to an open recall for a year. Your website said to file a complaint if it’s not taken care of in a timely manner, And Ford has still not provided the parts to take care of this recall.
Jul 16,2025 Manufacturer Recall Number25S76 NHTSA Recall Number25V467 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet available This is almost a year and FORD has not came out with a remedy to fix the issue. Requesting something from manufacturer when this will be available to be fixed? There is another recall that just posted, I checked my VIN it did not register my vehicle as affected but not sure. NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 26V340000
On May 15, 2006 I was turning slowly into a parking space perhaps 3 to 5 miles an hour. My vehicle suddenly surged forwarded and accelerated on its own. I hit a wall. No warning lights appeared. No crash warning or any beeping of any sort. My car had a recall for the fuel injector. In October 2025 Ford sent out someone to adjust the software at my home. I do not believe a tube was ever inserted. Witnesses reported I was going slow and the car accelerated. I eat at the location almost every day so they watch for my car and whether there were 1 or 2 people. So it is not just a random witness. I do not know what parts are involved other than to say there was an un commanded acceleration and engine surge.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
My vehicle makes a horrible noise when I’m driving and making a turn. According to a mechanic shop I took my vehicle to, the RDU vent hose that was put on by the manufacturer is highly susceptible to get clogged and drawing in outside moisture causing this horrible noise. The mechanic stated that they have seen this issue with other Ford Bronco Sport vehicles.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while driving at 50 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed, however the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The service engine warning light illuminated and the engine spuddered. The engine seized. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle did not start. The dealer was made aware of the failure, and the contact was informed that the parts were unavailable. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, however the failure was not duplicated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
On or about December 2025, the vehicle began emitting strong fuel/exhaust fumes through the air conditioning vents during operation. The fumes were noticeable inside the passenger cabin and created concerns of toxic exposure and possible fire risk. The condition was reported to an authorized Ford dealership, Hacienda Ford, which retained the vehicle for inspection for approximately two months. The dealership acknowledged concerns involving the fuel system/fuel injectors and performed inspection procedures and software-related recall work; however, the vehicle was later returned without replacement or repair of fuel system components. After the vehicle was released, the same fuel/fume odor condition reoccurred during normal driving, including an incident where the fumes became overwhelming inside the cabin while driving toward [XXX] . The vehicle is associated with an open safety recall identified as manufacturer recall 25S76 / NHTSA campaign 25V467, described as “remedy not yet available.” Despite repeated reports of fuel/exhaust fumes and concerns involving possible fuel injector defects, Ford Motor Company and the dealership have not provided a written determination that the vehicle is safe to operate. A formal final escalation letter was sent to Ford Motor Company demanding a safety determination, alternate repair authorization, reimbursement of towing expenses, and clarification regarding open recalls and known fuel system issues. The letter was delivered on April 29, 2026, but no response was received within the requested deadline. The consumer believes the vehicle may present an ongoing safety hazard involving fuel vapor intrusion and potential fire risk. The defect remains unresolved. The vehicle remains parked. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The apparent failure involves the engine lubrication and/or cooling system. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, I noticed a strong burning oil/fluid/exhaust-type odor. Initially, I believed it was coming from other vehicles because my vehicle had passed inspection about two weeks earlier. Once parked and away from traffic, it became clear the odor was coming from my vehicle. About one hour later, I discovered a large puddle of oil underneath the vehicle. Upon inspection, the coolant reservoir was nearly empty and the engine oil level was almost completely absent from the dipstick. I added approximately four quarts of oil. The leak appears to occur or worsen once the engine reaches operating temperature. No warning lights, dashboard messages, or other indicators appeared before or during the failure. There were no visible leaks where the vehicle had been parked earlier that same day. The burning odor was the only symptom prior to discovering the fluid loss. This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle appears capable of rapidly losing oil and coolant without warning, which could result in engine seizure, loss of power, fire risk, or loss of vehicle control while driving. Oil leaking onto road surfaces could also create hazards for other motorists. The vehicle has never been off-road or driven on anything other than paved roads, and the leak does not appear to originate from the oil drain plug area. The vehicle and failed components are available for inspection upon request. Because this occurred during the weekend, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer or independent repair facility. I intend to contact the dealer on Monday for diagnosis and inspection. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives.
I was driving on the highway and my car started making a lot of noise. I got a notice “The Engine system has detected a fault.” Then another notification saying 4 wheel drive was disabled and then my car stopped running, leaving me stranded in the middle of the highway. My car would start, but it would not go into any gear. When I tried putting it in gear, I got a notification that said “Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Speed Your Malfunction warning is on because your vehicle’s transmission cannot be shifted or moved out of park.” I had to wait in the middle of the highway for approximately 30-45 minutes for a tow truck to come, and the whole time, there were cars traveling 80 mph swerving to miss me. I was sincerely afraid for my life.
The contact owns a 2023 FORD Bronco Sport. The contact stated while operating the vehicle it cuts out from time to time suddenly. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: (25V467000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 98,000.
Noticed fuel smell in passenger cabin. Had vehicle towed to Ford dealership. Dealership refused to repair because Ford said parts aren't available. Gasoline odor still prevalent. Took vehicle to independent shop on 4/27 and mechanic found substantial leak pooling near injector #1. So, the software update which is supposed to identify a fuel leak and put vehicle into limp mode and eventually shut down the engine. Independent shop sourced replacement parts and performed the repair as the mechanic said it was a safety hazard which could cause a fire as noted in the outstanding recall. From NHTSA database: Manufacturer Safety recall issued NHTSA: #25V467 Recall: #25S76 POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE PCM SOFTWARE UPDATE Status: Remedy Not Yet Available
I was at a complete stop and a car rear ended me going 45 MPH. The airbags did NOT go off. Causing me to hit my head on the steering wheel. The car then gave warning on the Ford app saying " Your air bag warning is on due to an issue with the front passenger air bag system. The front passenger airbag may not work properly." Another notification says " Your air ab warning is on because the system has detected a crash." The police and paramedics at the scene where very shocked that the airbags did not deploy. I was taken to the ER by ambulance due to this. Please look into it, I would hate for someone to get hurt or killed due to this issue.
2023 Bronco Sport had its serpentine belt replaced in February of 2026 because it was loose causing my engine to overheat. I had to have it towed because I was sitting on the side of the road. Then in April of 2026 the Bronco started making horrible loud clanging sounds and jerking when it was put in gear. Towed again to the shop. Now I am told this 3 year old car needs a new transmission. Doing research i have found that several Bronco owners have the same problem. Why does Ford not have a recall for this!! My mechanic was looking for a rebuilt one and can't find one because the demand for them is higher than what the supply is. This should tell you something!!
Nothing has happened but remedy has not been available for awhile on cracked injector issue
The contact stated that while idling at a stoplight, the vehicle suddenly stalled while attempting to accelerate. The contact was able to turn off and restart the vehicle to continue driving; however, the vehicle stalled twice. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the canister purge valve had failed due to a high-pressure purge flow in the EVAP system. The vehicle was scheduled for repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 36,600.
My engine light came on and stayed on. The vehicle also stalled twice when trying to drive home. I was already scheduled for my yearly inspection at the Ford dealership in Washington PA who said they would also check into this issue. The Ford dealership advised me that this was an emissions issue where the valve was sticking and it wouldn't pass inspection unless I paid to have a new valve put in and also have new tubing put in. I paid around $700 to have it all replaced and then it passed inspection. Now my sister who also has a 2023 Ford Sport Bronco is having the same issue and is scheduled for repair. Both my sister's and my vehicle have milage that is just over 36,000 miles. I will give her the phone number to call and report her issue as well. I feel this should be a recall issue.
I have had recall number 25S76/25V467 on my vehicle since July 2025. The dealership keeps telling me this recall is for a software update and my vehicle is updated. ! But why would the recall still be showing as incomplete then? And how is recall 25S76/25V467 just a software update? It doesn't sound anything software related!!
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that after filling the fuel tank and driving approximately 70 MPH, they noticed a fuel odor coming from the vehicle. After parking the vehicle for approximately 40 minutes, they returned to the vehicle that had been on fire. The fire department was contacted, which had put out the fire. The vehicle was towed and totaled. The fire had caused damage to the grounds on which the vehicle was parked. There was fuel contamination and burned areas in the yard and on the porch near where the vehicle was parked. There were no injuries. The dealer was contacted, who then referred them to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a claim was filed. The failure mileage was 50,268.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.
My 2023 Ford Bronco Sport has an open safety recall (25S76) for a cracked fuel injector that may cause a fire risk. The manufacturer has issued the recall but does not yet have a permanent repair available. I am concerned about the safety risk and lack of remedy
The fuel injectors are failing, the vehicle smells of gasoline fumes in the cabin if the vehicle and we are now getting check engine lights due to emissions which I contribute to the failing fuel injectors which have been under recall for quite some time now and Ford does not seem to want to fix this issue. They can only tell us they do not have a fix yet at this time. My understanding this is a very dangerous issue as the vehicle can catch on fire due to this malfunction. I have young children who all ride in this vehicle.

I have put 3 water pumps in my 2023 ford bronco big bend since buying the bronco brand new put the first one in September 2024 second one in May of 2025 and know February of 2026. Also put two vacuums pumps in 2026 in the same week
There have been multiple occasions where I have started or shut down my 2023 Bronco Heritage Sport Limited and (for no reason I can explain) the speakers started making this extremely loud digital feedback noise, sometimes including the subwoofer. It's hard to stay in the car for too long with this noise going on at an extremely loud decibel. This vehicle has the B&O sound system. I tried a number of things but only after letting the car completely shut down for a few minutes did it eventually stop (There seems to be no volume control when this happens). Thankfully this happened during start up or shut down and not while I was driving, but I'm a little worried about that happening now since I don't know what caused it to happen.
I received a recall letter in August 2025 stating there is is possible for fuel injector to crack which may result in fuel accumulating on the top of the engine. The liquid fuel and/or fuel vapor that accumulates near a hot surface, such as a hot engine or exhaust may ignite resulting in an under-hood fire. It has been 6 months and there are still no parts available. I find this to be unacceptable and am worrying about this all the time. I personally know someone who's Bronco sport caught on fire and destroyed the car. It could most certainly destroy more than just the car. I don't think this should be taken lightly and should be resolved immediately. I mean I can't even sell the car who would want to buy a car that has a known fire safety recall or how could I sell it with knowing about this problem. Please upgrade this recall urgently for faster resolution.

Dear Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, I am submitting this letter in support of a Texas Lemon Law complaint regarding my vehicle, which has experienced repeated mechanical failures that substantially impair its use, value, and safety. The vehicle has been subject to multiple manufacturer recalls and remains in the repair shop at this time. It is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has exhibited a persistent knocking sound from the engine or drivetrain area, intermittent loss of power, and a brake system defect in which the brakes stick unexpectedly. These conditions have continued despite multiple repair attempts by an authorized dealership, including repairs related to manufacturer recalls. These defects constitute a serious safety concern. The loss of power occurred while driving and created a hazardous situation by preventing the vehicle from accelerating as expected in traffic. The brake sticking condition impaired my ability to maintain safe control of the vehicle and increased the risk of sudden or unintended braking, endangering myself, passengers, and other motorists. The issues have been reproduced and acknowledged by the dealership, as demonstrated by repeated service visits. The vehicle has been inspected and repaired by the manufacturer’s authorized service center on multiple occasions. No inspections have been conducted by law enforcement or insurance representatives. Prior to and following recall repairs, the vehicle continued to exhibit symptoms including the knocking noise and intermittent power loss. Any warning lamps or dashboard messages are UNKNOWN. Because these defects remain unresolved after a reasonable number of repair attempts and involve safety-related systems, I believe this vehicle meets the criteria for review under the Texas Lemon Law. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Transmission jerking or not shifting into gear and intermittent park in reverse shifting inoperable. Also, my car has been in the shop.Under warranty repair for most of the last four months. , we are still required to make payments on a vehicle. And cannot even transfer insurance from that vehicle to another temporarily.Because of the sales contract. The service manager recently told me that our eight speed ecoboost transmission is a one of thousands of transmissions that were assembled without vital parts. And that ford has no workaround or plan in place to correct The problem
I went to start my 2023 Ford Bronco badlands edition. Upon ignition a loud bang comes from the speakers. It sounded like a gun went off inside the vehicle. My ears were ringing. Then a loud crackling sound could be heard continuously without going away. I tried to shut off the volume, but the knob didn’t work. I shut down the vehicle and the sound of the crackling still persisted.
We own a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport that is subject to an active safety recall involving fuel vapors/gasoline odor entering the passenger cabin. The recall remedy is currently listed as not yet available. The vehicle began emitting strong gasoline fumes through the air conditioning vents, creating a serious safety concern and rendering the vehicle unsafe to operate. The vehicle was previously serviced at Hacienda Ford in Kingsville, Texas, in September, at which time the active safety recall was not disclosed. On December 8, 2025, we reported a gasoline odor coming from the A/C vents to the dealership. The dealership stated the concern was not covered under warranty due to mileage exceeding 60,000 miles and did not disclose the existence of the safety recall. Instead, the dealership suggested the issue could be related to a radiator coolant leak. A tow truck was dispatched to retrieve the vehicle from a workplace location. We were required to pay $86 for half of the towing cost, which we believe is improper in connection with a manufacturer safety recall. On December 15, 2025, we returned to Hacienda Ford to request a loaner vehicle or manufacturer refund due to the unresolved safety recall. We were advised that our only option was to trade in the vehicle. The dealership offered $17,000 for the trade-in and stated an additional $10,000 would be added to the cost of another vehicle due to the remaining loan balance. We refused this option due to the financial harm it would cause and requested a manufacturer buyback, at which point we were told to contact Ford Corporate. The dealership has refused to provide a loaner or rental vehicle unless approved by a service manager and has continued to offer a trade-in option that shifts the financial burden of a safety defect onto the consumer. The vehicle remains undrivable due to safety concerns, and no repair remedy is currently available. We contacted Ford Customer Relations and they referred us back to dealership
We were driving on the highway with no other cars around when the sunroof exploded. My wife was driving and she panicked, slowing down on the highway trying to get off the road. The shade was closed, but if it wasn’t the glass would have fallen on my 1 year old baby who was in a rear center car seat. There was no indication that something hit the sunroof. Ford refused to acknowledge that it could be a manufacturer defect and will not consider covering the repair.

The transmission and/or shift-by-wire control system appears to have failed. While the vehicle was in motion, the system engaged “Park” and remained stuck in this position. The vehicle immediately became immobilized and could not be shifted out of Park. The vehicle remained locked in Park for 3 weeks. The failure occurred without prior warning and eliminated essential vehicle control functions. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I could not cross the border in a tow truck with a stranger- so I had it repaired in Tijuana at a Ford Service Center. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Ford service facility (Ford Surman BC – Tijuana, Baja California), where technicians confirmed a defect-related failure and performed warranty repairs to restore functionality. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? Yes. An authorized Ford dealer inspected the vehicle and conducted the warranty repair. The manufacturer has been notified of the incident. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning indicators were displayed before the incident. After the uncommanded shift into Park and immobilization, the instrument cluster displayed multiple error messages including “Park Brake Fault – Service Now” and “Pre-Collision Assist Not Available.” Additional context: The vehicle had been serviced at an authorized Ford dealership in the United States less than one month prior to the incident and had fewer than 13,000 miles Vehicle broke down at night with my children in the vehicle. I incurred costs from tow trucks and rentals to get to work the following week. Now with this new Recall and no possible repair for it, this vehicle is extremely unsafe, I have been in communication with Ford and they claim they are going to do nothing about. Please help.

Transmission violently jerks when shifting making it unsafe to even drive. Severe uneven shifting. RPM fluctuations exacerbate the problem ( since a normal automatic transmission will naturally shift upon acceleration at specific intervals, but not this one). Also would not shift into Park or reverse. We finally had to have it towed to the shop. This is a 2023 Ford Bronco sport and should be recalled. The transmission is a severely flawed and unsafe design.
On August 16, 2025 while accelerating on an on ramp to the PA turnpike my vehicle stopped acceleration which nearly caused an accident as I was trying to merge on turnpike and my vehicle stopped. A few days before my screen went black. I have had issues with this vehichle for the back up camera and the collision warning coming on when there was nothing near the vehicle (this was corrected by the dealership). I took my vehicle to the dealership on 8/25/25 concerning the black screen and loss of acceleration and was told no error code came up on the event.

I purchased the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport brand new, since then there have been at least 3-4 recalls on it. The catalytic converter had to be replaced and now the transmission needs to be replaced. This vehicle, Ford Bronco Sport, has had issues that i feel Ford has been negligent in addressing through recalls. The vehicle has been in a Ford garage for 3+ months waiting on repairs to the transmission. Research has shown that there are lawsuits about these transmissions that Ford is not addressing. They sold me a lemon and refuse to make it right. The most recent recall being the fuel injector. Multiple recalls, faulty transmission, faulty catalytic converter, whats next? Something needs to be done about this.
We received the recall notice NHTSA Recall Number25V467 and called both the dealer and Ford to inquire about our son's safety traveling from RI to FL and the potential safety issues related to this recall. Ford's only advice was to "hope" nothing happens before they have the parts to fix the fuel injector safety issue with no idea of the timeframe for the remedy. It is unbelievable that a company can alert customers to a known safety issue with no recommendations to ensure the safety of drivers or planned remedy. When a potential health or safety issue is identified in other industries, the product is immediately pulled from the market and customers are told to immediately discontinue the use or consumption. Why are automobile companies allowed to recommend to consumers that they continue to drive a car with a known fire risk until a remedy is in place? At a minimum Ford should offer free inspections of the impacted parts/systems to assess driving safety until a long term remedy is in place. This is at least the fourth issue with the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. I believe the fuel injector issue has had a previous recall that did not work. Ford offers no loaner cars, dealer transportation, or compensation for recall repairs causing owners added expenses and missed work time. How many recalls are allowed on a car model until the company is required to compensate owners? Regulations need to change to ensure driver safety as soon as a safety issue is identified and there should be mandatory compensation for owners that need to have a recall remedied, especially one that is reoccurring.

The bronco sport badlands has a purely cosmetic strip on the dash that is a reflective bright orange. Its like a thin ribbon that travels around the drivers area, when the sun is raising or setting that strip reflects back onto the inside of the windshield blocking vision. It changes depth perception massively and creates a line straight across the drivers field of vision. When the sun is up and clear it just normal reflects and can be blocked with sun glasses or such but the reflection periods absolutely can not. I am not alone in this, reddit, ford forums etc have multiple mentions of this. I have already been hit twice (both accidents other driver at fault) but I believe I could have avoided them with clear field of visions.
TSB 23-2308 Moan Noise In The Rear Brakes when vehicle Is Driven In Reverse (R) In Cold Weather And/Or High Humidity (From Ford). Vehicle also has a grinding noise when driving and turning. Brake rotor and pads. Two dealerships have confirmed the issue and has been "fixed" twice even though the noise is still there after it was "fixed". The dealership turned the brake rotors and replaced brake pads even when they did not need it, and updated parts that includes clips. There are no warnings that appear before, during or after. This is a known issue with Ford on their Bronco Sport models. They are making the consumer pay for the fix even though it is a defect through Ford. I know numerous people who are/have experienced this. It has been ongoing since 3/2024
Power seat won’t move and is in the furthest position making driving difficult.
corporate policy complaint. However, a Riata tech did also contribute to the issue. My 23 Bronco sport was manufactured with a transmission problem. I called once, was told it was just the computer still learning. Then at 10,000 miles there was a recall that required bringing the car in, I asked them to check the transmission and they told me the recall computer issue was probably at fault, didn't check the transmission, said it should be fine now. (They had been hacked recently, But their poor cyber security is not my fault.) At 20,000 miles, I brought it in again for routine maintenance. They finally checked the transmission and saw it had major damage. They repaired it for free under warranty. However 20,000 miles of running with contaminated transmission fluid and damaged parts gave me huge concerns about undue wear to the other parts in the transmission and it's long term lifespan. I asked for a full transmission replacement and was told that corporate would never approve it. So I called their customer service department and the customer service department said that they will not extend warranties and that it was Riatas decision not to replace the transmission (from what I understand that was blatantly untrue, it's corporate policy). So now my options are lemon law it (but the car doesn't really qualify for that and they strung me along for 20k miles when lemon law only is valid to 24k miles), or sue ford (yeah like I have the time or energy or resources for that). They refused to escalate to anyone internal who can make decisions, refused to send me a written denial of escalation, refused to do anything but gaslight me (This is customer service, not Riata).
The vehicle shifted into NEUTRAL and the Park Break engaged while driving in Eco Mode at 25-30 mph. This incident happened twice prior to the following incident and within minutes apart. Parked and exited the vehicle for about 10 minutes. Entered vehicle, applied the break and ENGINE START button, vehicle did not start. The brake felt hard and the following warnings appeared: SERVICE VEHICLE SOON, CROSS TRAFFIC SYSTEM FAULT, FULL ACCESSORY POWER ACTIVE, PARK AID FAULT, PRE COLLISION ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE, SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC. I exited the vehicle for a few minutes, returned and attempted to start the engine again and it did turn on.
As soon vehicle is turned off a message is displayed System off to save battery And I will not be able to use any of the telematics, specifically if I try to start the vehicle from the app
Multiple intermittent occurrences of the following- Transmission: Shifts very rough 30-50mph. Excessively noisy. Far worse when weather is cold. Does not respond sometimes when pressing the accelerator. Feels as if the pedal is pushed and the car does nothing. Pulling back your foot and pressing again it goes. Noticed this trying to merge into traffic from a stop, pressing pedal to pass slower traffic at highway speeds. Have had two different Ford dealers look at the problem, neither has been able to diagnose an issue. Have an appointment with Ford dealer to evaluate again (third time) 2nd week of February due to dealer service dept schedule. Have been told to expect to leave the vehicle with them for 3-5 days for diagnosis. Have offered to take service mgr on test drive to show issue but not able to link schedules yet. Dealers have stated they cannot find an issue and have updated transmission software. Does not fix the issue. Electrical/body: Numerous problems with the following: Plugged in phone drops Apple CarPlay regularly or does not always recognize phone. (latest OS from Apple on both devices). Convenience features like seat memory, keyless entry (touch the door handle with key on you, door unlocks) intermittently not working. Rear hatch keyless entry has not worked in almost a year. Stereo system doesn't always display proper data in cluster, on radio screen. Does not always respond to steering wheel channel change button. Ford has updated software multiple times and above (except rear hatch) will work for a while then problems will start back up again. Vehicle has almost 30K miles and was purchased brand new in July 2023. Factory warranty expires at 36K and I do not want to be stuck with an extremely expensive repair if the transmission does go up after the warranty expires.

I have had gas in the oil 3 different times now. I had went over to lafontaine on [XXX] , and they said it was because I was 500 miles before an oil change. I knew that gas and oil didn’t mix so I fought for the car to stay at the dealership and the whole time I was being told I was crazy and not to waste the technicians time after the 2nd time of it being there. I then for the 3rd time went to Ford dealership located in Fenton, and at that time they could not indicate the cause, but told me they sold that car and there was various issues before it got traded in by someone else so just to beware. I am now dealing with my engine shaking and rattling making a really unpleasant sound(I have a video.) and without even pulling out the dipstick all the way I can heavily smell the gas. I had it confirmed by my mom and grampa who works on cars. I then did a buyback dispute and they denied it because it was not in the shop enough times but I could drive it til it dies and then have my warranty replace the motor. This is really bad and it is starting to sound like the engine is seizing out. I took it to Midas in flint and they were not comfortable touching it due to the gas in the oil because it’s basically a brand new car. I need this car to be bought back this is not safe at all and I’m afraid it is going to explode. Also it will not let me add the video of the engine so I will have to email it over INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Hello, I wanted to share an issue I recently encountered with my car. After coming back from a hike, my car stalled and took long to start. When it finally did start, the engine light came on, and I was unable to go over 20 miles per hour. I read the code, which indicated a problem with the fuel injectors. I ended up being stranded for about 5 hours in a blizzard until I could get help. I took the car to the Ford dealership, and they diagnosed the issue as a faulty high-pressure fuel pump and sensor, both of which need to be replaced. I purchased this car in 2023, and I’m very surprised that these components are failing so soon. This is not what I expected from a relatively new vehicle. There is a current recal for fuel injectors for my year and model but my car is not on the list.
I had the recall done that was suppose to fix the battery signaling the vehicle to shut off, but after I had it done I still got the message to either turn off the accessory power or to restart the engine.
The dashboard and screen when black while I was driving down the highway. I was unable yo see my speed. I found a safe spot to pull the car over to see what was going on and the car would not start again. After jumping the car it still would not start then it had to be towed to ford where they still can’t figure out was wrong.
In September my dad was driving my car in eco mode and the wrench light came on. I got an alert in my ford app that there was a transmission problem and lack of power issue. My dad and husband were in CO at the time with my car. They took it to a dealership and the light had gone off they said it was pulling turbo codes. They drove it back to AR and I took it in the shop and they said nothing was wrong and couldn’t find an issue. I did have the recall for loss of power fixed in May. When the light came on in the car in September there was a noticeable loss of power. I requested the redo the recall but they declined. I have not had a light come back on since then.
I was able to start my vehicle in my driveway, without the key. Unknown to me at the time, the key was in fact in my house, in my bedroom, not in my purse, or on my body. But I was able to drive 15 miles without that key. Fortunately the automatic start/stop was engaged, if it hadn't been I could've been stranded at an intersection or worse, had an accident stalled at an intersection. Once the car was turned off it would not restart, it said "no key detected". I was left stranded in someone's driveway until my son drove to my home to retrieve the key. This should never happen, the car should never have been able to start with the key inside my house.
I have been trying to get my car serviced due to a "recall" that can only be done off island. This requires barge cost (to Maui and back), being present to pick up car from barge and drop off at dealership, time on Maui to allow dealership to remedy the recall, wait at least a week for the barge to return it back to Molokai, and then time to pick up vehicle at the barge once back on Molokai. I have tried to organize with my dealership that is on Maui, and they will not pay for anything but the actual "recall work". My vehicle is a little over a year with only 7800 miles on it. The expense of all of the above and the time needed without a vehicle is not something I can afford (Barge alone is approximately $1500). After several communications with Ford, they told me I had to deal with my nearest dealership, and if still having difficulty getting repairs done at no cost to contact NHTSA.gov. Thank you for any information and help you can provide me.
See Illustration Overly sensitive driver’s side shoulder restraint resulting in abnormal restraint and the inability to see around the "B" pillar during normal deceleration. When I’m slowing down (from position 3 to 2) with normal deceleration, I’m blocked by trees, buildings, and signs indicated by the hash. Therefore I don’t have visibility of the oncoming traffic until I’ve reached (position 1) @ about 25 mph. That’s about when the harness locks up -- give or take 5mph. If there’s oncoming traffic there’s no issue; once at a full stop the harness releases and I’m on my way. If there isn’t any traffic (thus, no reason to stop); I still have to stop because I’m restrained by now and the “B” pillar blocks any view of potential oncoming traffic. Unlike any other vehicle I've ever driven , I’m unable to lean forward to see around the pillar and make a safe decision to stop or continue into the intersection at (position 0). Imagine you’re following me and have reached (position 1), and you don’t see any traffic so you anticipate that I will keep going but I don’t, I have no choice but to come to a full and complete stop because I don’t know that there’s no traffic. This creates mayhem on the highway and appears that I’m brake checking (or otherwise intentionally irritating other drivers behind me for no reason. This results in road rage and I’m always the culprit since I’m not yielding as the intersection is designed. (this happens frequently at this intersection) If I think about it prior to reaching (position 3 [prior to any significant deceleration]) I will try to lean forward or take hands off the wheel to put slack in the harness so that I’m able to see around the “B” pillar even after the harness locks up. Not only is that not safe, but I’m forced to intentionally override the car’s safety systems increasing the chances of injury if I am in a collision.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that the seat belt mechanisms for the rear driver's side and rear passenger side seats had malfunctioned and did not properly retract to secure the [XXX] child inside the car seat. On one occasion while making a turn the child's head made contact with the rear passenger side door window causing a mild head injury. No medical treatment was required. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where the failure was not able to be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 3,000. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
The alarm was going off when I opened the lift gate to put bags in. The alarm would not turn off so I opened driver’s door and stepped on brake and started the car. Alarm went off but car suddenly went into reverse and catapulted me out of the car. Driver four was open and I got pinned under the care while it continued to Move in reverse. The vehicle ran over my left lower leg both knees and R thigh. It kept moving about 35-40’ in reverse. My brother was there and he tried to stop the care but was also knocked down by driver four and his R foot was run over.
The display for all the support systems does not boot up properly. This means I cannot access any of the advanced systems, the radio, or any of the other related systems. This is the display in the center console/dashboard. It is not know if other systems are impacted without this display because you cannot see any of the system messages that normally appear on the screen. The camera stays on because the computer does not override.
I fear for my safety in my vehicle because it’s been a lot of trouble since I first bought it. The vehicle reduces power and won’t let me accelerate even though the agency said they had fixed it already, the auto stop malfunctions and messes with the vehicle’s engine. Now that this new incident happened with the engine/gasoline that the car started shaking and just wouldn’t turn on I am very concerned. The agency claims it was contaminated gas but I went to the gas station to file a police report and the gas at the gas station was completely fine. There was a recall on the “fuel injectors cracking, causing gasoline or vapors to leak at a high rate onto hot surfaces in the engine compartment.” -nhtsa and I believe this is what might be wrong with my vehicle even though it doesn’t come out with the vin. I drive from home to school, work, and the university everyday and I feel unsafe because the truck stutters which I am certain it has to do with a manufacturer gas tank error. I’m not sure what can be done in this case, but I feel like my life or the life of others is in danger driving it out in the road with all the stuttering the vehicle has been doing even from months back.
Bought this car new only 10 months ago, and have had to take it in constantly. 1. Within a few weeks after purchase, the bolts came flying off the wheels while driving on the freeway causing the wheels to nearly fly off! 2. Multiple recalls for the computer system, took it in at least 3 different times, screen was blacking out and electronics went down. 3. Tail lights went completely out. 4. 3 weeks ago while driving, the Bronco completely died in the middle of a heavy traffic intersection. All doors locked me in, had to manually push vehicle to the side and call for a tow. Towed it to Ford dealer, they said the fuel system went out, they’ve had it for 3 weeks and still don’t know what’s wrong with it!! I went to see the Gen Mgr, 2 employees there said I bought a lemon. GM said if I have a lemon then the whole fleets are lemons. This is a $43,000 car and I should not be having issue upon issue continually. I want them to replace my vehicle or give me a full refund! Very dangerous to drive a car that has severe safety issues!
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at 5 MPH, the rubber brake pad detached, the driver's foot slipped on the metal and crashed into a freezer, located in the garage and the bumper detached. There were no warning lights illuminated. There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment, police report or fire. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, who opened a claim and referred her to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
I had parked and turned off my Bronco after a 2 hour drive. When I went back outside about 30 minutes later, I started the vehicle only to get an ear piercing noise coming out of the speakers. I turned off the radio and car but it lasted about 30 seconds and then stopped. Twice again I tried to start the car and the loud noise started again and lasted 30-45 seconds. My Apple Watch registered a noise at 110 decibels. I could not stay in the car as it hurt my ears. No warning lights or anything to let me know this was going to happen. I have taken it in to the dealer and they said it was a PCM module going bad.
Vehicle has had continuous issues with loss of oil pressure. Vehicle has been to ford service dept multiple times and is still uncorrected. Issue arises when placed under mild to hard acceleration conditions, ie passing a vehicle on interstate conditions. Problem is able to be duplicated when at operating temperatures. Once oil leashed is lost, the vehicle goes into limp mode with an illuminated engine light and low oil pressure warning message in the display screen. Message will clear and vehicle will go back into normal operation once the vehicle has been shut down and restarted. The engine light will remain illuminated. This issue almost resulted in a motor vehicle collision while enroute to work this morning trying to avoid a semi that rapidly changed lanes to avoid another accident. When I went to accelerated to avoid the collision, I lost power and was almost hit.
Radio screen goes black often sometimes going black and the radio still plays. Sometimes the screen goes completely out or is stuck on one screen and it will not reset even after turning car off and back on again
Tires are Continental 225/65 R 17 On June 18, 2024 the right rear tire went flat in less than 200 yards at 15 mph in our driveway. The dealership said it was a non reparable puncture that split the sidewall. On July 28, 2024 the left rear tire went flat in less than 200 yards at 15 mph in our driveway. The vehicle has less than 2500 miles and never carries heavy loads. I understand that there was a recall on similar Continental Tires. Fortunately both of these incidents happened in our driveway. We live near the Blue Ridge Mountains, had this occurred at higher speed on a mountain road it could have been disastrous.

The hood flew up and shattered windshield while driving. It was never popped or unlocked. This car only has 1000 miles on it. A warning went on seconds before it happened.
On more than one occasion, the speakers have emitted an ear piercing startling noise while driving. The first time it happened, i was driving and I could not get the noise to stop despite turning off the radio. My ears ached for days. It had been only a couple days since I purchase the vehicle. I took it to Ford’s service department. It stayed there for a few days only to be told they cannot find any issue with the car or software The second and 3rd time it happened, the radio was not on but my phone was connected through the USB port. The duration of the screeching was shorter but still disturbing enough to leave me shaking. Both the volume on the car radio and the volume on my phone were set to a very low setting. Screeching noise emitted was loudly deafening and a safety hazard.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the four-wheel drive engaged and disengaged independently. The contact stated she heard a loud clanking noise coming from the front tires as the four-wheel drive warning light illuminated. When the vehicle turns on there are times when the screen just remains all black, only time it changes is when the reverse camera is activated. When the vehicle is in Drive the screen doesn’t turn on. Also Bluetooth constantly disconnects all devices once the vehicle is turned off.
Got a flat on the right front tire. I pulled over on level concrete area. The vehicle was off, in park, and parking brake "appeared" to be on. Using the the vehicle's jack, I jacked the vehicle up and had taken the flat off. The vehicle rolled back and off the jack and the disk break crashed to the concrete. I checked the parking break and made sure the vehicle was in park and it was. I jacked it up again. As I was starting to replace the spare, the vehicle rolled back again and could have pinned my hand between the fender and the spare tire. A passerby stopped the a floor jack and a chulk and we changed the tire. First, the base of the jack is too narrow and the vehicle was not stable. This was an ideal location to change a tire and still was a disaster.
Break locked during turn and ABS system failed, as a result, cash crashed into a rock. This could have been very serious had the car been going faster. The car ABS system needs to be recalled on ALL BRONCO SPORTS. The car will go to the dealer for review. There were no warning lamps or other symptoms prior to the crash
After having an Oil Change / Simple first time service, my Radio Screen Resets EVERY time you turn the car off. Most recently though, I was driving for about 3 miles or so, and the Reverse Camera Froze on the screen, nothing would clear it. The Radio / Power button did not work, no sound, no anything would work. I could not turn my car off as I was driving. I did place the car in park at a red light and still no change, camera stayed frozen / stuck on the screen, radio id stuck on panel (tiny screen behind the steering wheel). No Sound Nothing. All of these items worked until I took it to the Ford Dealership for Service. The Service Director states this isn't his people and this car is known for it's electronic issues.
The contact's wife owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was jumpstarted with Roadside Assistance. Additionally, the contact stated that the Auto Stop/Start feature was intermittently inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the Auto Stop/Start feature was malfunctioning due to low battery. The dealer recharged the battery; however, the failure recurred while driving the same day. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V267000 (Electrical System, Power Train) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 1,800.
Vehicle stopped running without any warnings. Lost power, power steering and I don't know what else.
When I was driving at about 40mph another car cut me off and launched a pebble to my windshield. When I got home I saw a tiny chip in the windshield at mid-height in line with the front seat passenger's sight line. Over the next month or so a crack developed spontaneously and spread across the whole windshield. Replacing the windshield was very expensive!
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the display unit, including the back-over prevention camera and speedometer malfunctioned, and displayed a solid black screen creating a visibility hazard for the driver. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 90.
My wife and I bought a brand-new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks edition in Jully of 2023. After about a month of ownership and less than 1000 miles, we noticed when we would press the accelerator, the vehicle would take 5-6 seconds to react to the accelerator. When it finally did, the car would rev up to about 6000rpm and lurch forward. We took it to the dealer and they assured us there was nothing wrong and just reset the car's computer. A month or so later we noticed the same issue with acceleration, but this time the car also completely stalled. This happened to my wife multiple times in the middle of a busy intersection. We brought the car back to the dealership and they stated the engine was misfiring and replaced a sparkplug. They returned the vehicle again to us with their assurances we wouldn't have any more problems. We drove it for about 30 minutes before the vehicle stalled again in the middle of a busy intersection. At this point we had the dealership come and tow away the vehicle. After some time, they finally told us the entire engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle we were constantly assured was alright had an engine failure at less than 3000 miles and put my wife and I in potential dangerous situations multiple times.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact was informed by his wife that when the start button was depressed, there was a loud boom coming from the vehicle. There was an odor of smoke coming into the cabin of the vehicle, but there was no smoke present. There was also a sizzling sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case regarding the failure. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was 6,030.
I was in a accident where I was not at fault. I had my car 3 weeks. Brand new, it took on right under 20k in damage. Both airbags deployed. They have had my car in the body shop for 7 months. I paid 34k for the car. They won't offer depreciation. They are making me pay a 7k rental bill. The person who is fixing my car has never worked on a bronco. So I am I'm a situation and I really need some help please. I don't feel my car will be safe to drive after all this
The positioning of the wipers is poorly designed.it allows ice and snow to build up rendering the wipers inoperable and almost impossible to thaw out even with the window defroster .Ford is aware of this issue because earlier models used to come with a deicer.Canadien models come with a deicer.I contacted ford customer service and was directed to go to the dealer, which I did and filed a complaint . the service manage said that's all they could do. It is a safety issue because if you are driving in heavy snow the wipers will become inoperable.this issue pertains to Ford Bronco Sport vehicles.
Our brand new 2023 Ford Bronco Sport was destroyed by a spontaneous under-the-hood fire that occurred within thirty days of delivery and with less than 50 miles on the odometer. An independent examination found this consistent with a fuel injector fire. Ford Motor Company has publicly acknowledged similar problems with the Bronco Sport models and purportedly has recalled and "fixed" all effected vehicles. We notified Ford of this incident, that the production and delivery dates of our Bronco Sport were well AFTER these recalls had been completed, and that the VIN of our Bronco Sport does NOT appear on Ford's recall registry. In the overwhelming interest of public safety, we have urged Ford Motor Company to recover this vehicle and conduct its own investigation. Despite awareness and prior efforts by the Ford Motor Company to identify and correct defects in the design of the Bronco Sport, the catastrophic failure of our vehicle indicates a persistent problem and a significant ongoing consumer safety hazard. Ford Motor Company has not responded to our repeated requests and we are asking the NHTSA to conduct further inquiry.
Fuel pump loose in gas tank. Ocassional smell of fuel in cabin when starting vehicle. RPMs stick at high levels occassionally.
While my granddaughter was driving this vehicle there was a sudden loud boom and the radio went to max volume, causing an excruciating decibel level of noise and static. Fortunately she was on a low volume road and was able to immediately stop the vehicle in the road (In shock of course) and she then tried to turn the radio off to no avail! She exited the vehicle, called her dad who was nearby and he showed up and turned the vehicle off. This ear piercing noise would not stop until several moments after the vehicle was turned off. This noise was so sudden, shocking and deafening that had she been on a high volume roadway she could have easily been been involved in a serious accident while attempting to turn off the radio (which didn't work) or get to a safe place to exit the vehicle. There was/is also the real possibility of permanent hearing loss!
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the rear passenger’s side window was stuck. The vehicle had not been diagnosed by an independent mechanic or dealer. The vehicle had not been repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that there were no open appointments until the end of the month. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.
I actually love my Bronco Sport! I had car less than a month when tire developed a slow leak! The Ford dealership said I was going to have to buy a new tire at 268.00! REALLY? They said it was leaking due to Road hazard! I have not hit anything! The tire sidewall looks like it separating! I started doing research on the Tire and found out this tire has major structural issues!on Continental’s own website it gets 2.7 stars! Almost all the bad reviews are related to weak sidewalls! Separating, blowouts, sidewall bubbles! My trouble is that these tires should be discontinued and recalled! From Reading the reviews they are dangerous! My biggest disappointment is that Ford would actually put such poor rated tires on a New Vehicle! I am going to have to Replace all the Tires! Ford blames the tires I blame Ford for putting such crap on a new car! Especially a Bronco Sport! This Tire cannot even handle smooth pavement much less unpaved! Warning! If you are buying a New Ford MAKE sure it does not have this crappy dangerous tire! “Continental ProContact tx”
This is the first episode of this event. I have been driving the vehicle for 17,000 miles. It was raining outside. When I pressed the button to start the ignition a horrifically loud screeching noise that terminated in what sounded like an explosion seemed to come from the passenger side if the vehicle. It last only a few seconds but it created a piercing sensation in my ears and left my ear was ringing for 10 minutes. I had to check my right ear for bleeding. Two hours later, my ear is still warm internally and aching. After the explosion, none of the audio worked on the vehicle. I tried the radio, the phone audio, the maps, and a voice phone call. I turned the car off and then on again. Still no sound. I drove for 30 minutes, waited an hour, then restarted the car and the audio returned. Prior to this, I have had daily issues with the sound mildly increasing and decreasing Independent of the road noise. I am now very fearful that this noise will happen again. If it had happened while I was driving the pain was intense enough to make me have an accident. I am concerned for hearing damage. Since it just happened and it is after hours, I have not taken it to the dealer yet. There were no warning lights or alarms before this happened,
The floor board is missing underneath the driver's side. I can see what looks like gears. Not quite sure. Difficulty with braking. Hard to stop. I hear flapping noises coming from rear of vehicle when driving. Not quite if it's the suspension
I’ve owned my 2023 bronco sport for 3-4 weeks and we just had a light rain shower earlier in the morning for the first time in several months. There was no standing water the road was slightly damp. Driving on the interstate if I drove over 45-50 the rear end started sliding or felt like it was about to hydroplane. I was so terrified at one point I was afraid of being hit from behind by traffic going the 70 mph speed limit. I tried to get up to 60-65 but the back end would begin to slip or feel like it was going to slide off the lane. Even the lane assist feature would not keep it straight. Once the Hwy dried, I was able to drive at speed limit without any problems. I called the dealer and they said no complaints had been filed - that I may want to try different tires on it. I looked on the internet and see there have been a lot of issues with the car sliding on wet roads - the traction control is supposed to be engaged when the car is cranked. I did try changing it between all wheel drive and traction control on and off but nothing helped during driving on the slightly damp Hwy.
Ford Sonic Boom: When starting the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport there was a loud bang/crack sound like an enormous piece of hail fell on the car and the windows were cracking. The car started crackling loudly through the speaker system for about 15 minutes. Car was turned off and everybody exited the vehicle and the crackling continued. Read online that this has happened to other 2023 Ford Broncos and also to the Ford F-150. They have done a software update to hopefully fix the F-150, but they have yet to do one for the 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. This can occur while starting the car or while in the middle of driving. Many have reported having to pull over as driving is impossible with the loud crackling sound coming through the speakers. The sound is so loud it can cause drivers to swerve leading to an accident and injury. Took 2023 Ford Bronco Sport to dealership and was told nothing could be done since the fix was for the Ford F-150 not the Ford Bronco. This issue also hits at random and a cause of timing has not be discovered. They could not replicate the sound at the Ford service center. No code showed on the screen so they said nothing could be done. There were no warnings that the sound was going to occur. At first we thought the airbags went off in the compartments or something had blown up outside. I have heard this occurred while people were driving and luckily I was stopped. I am very concerned if this were to happen while driving as the sound is very shocking. I have also been told if this occurred once then it will happen again.
A screw came out that holds the front passenger seat to the track
Car abruptly stopped accellerating on the highway, check engine light started blinking, I got over to the side of the road and the car shut down. It had to be towed to a Ford Dealership and they need to replace the entire engine.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 MPH, an emissions warning light illuminated. The contact stated that he drove to a dealer who diagnosed that the gas vaporizer cannister had been punctured by road debris. The cannister was made out plastic with no protection from road debris. The contact stated that the cannister was located on the driver’s side of the vehicle approximately 40 inches from the fuel tank. The contact stated that the plastic cannister could be subject to failure from road debris. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving 25 MPH, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by a dealer and confirmed that the engine and turbo charger was blown, and oil was coming out of the exhaust. The vehicle was not repaired due to parts not being available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and was unable to estimate time of arrival for parts. The failure mileage was approximately 250.
The transmission has very rough shifts particularly at low speeds between 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. It feels like the clutch sometimes does not fully engage, and the vehicle over-revs before finally getting into gear. This causes hesitation and poses a safety danger in particular when making turns like left turns in the city from a stop. I am concerned that even with sufficient space, the vehicle will hesitate to accelerate and I could get into an accident. I have not observed any warning lamps or other messages and the vehicle has not yet been inspected. The issue looks very similar or the same as that in NHTSA ID Number: 10231021. I have noticed this behavior since the first date of ownership for this vehicle which I bought new.
My Ford Bronco Sport windshield cracked without a any sign of impact. The crack on the windshield just appeared overnight just below the area of the rearview mirror. There is no sign of a chip that could have explained how the crack would have started to expand. Maybe a stress crack from the factory? After doing a quick online search it appears that similar issue has happened to other 2023 Ford Bronco Sports.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the front windshield cracked without impact. The contact noticed four cracks. There were several stress lines. The crack extended from the rear-view mirror toward the passenger’s and driver's side. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed. The windshield was not replaced. The manufacturer was notified about the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
The contact owns a 2023 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V021000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact then received a second notice that parts were available. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was dropped off for the service. The vehicle remained in the dealer possession for over a week; however, the dealer later stated that parts were not yet available. The contact was instructed to pick up her vehicle. Component Failure Cascade Risk
Known patterns where one defect leads to more severe downstream failures
▸ Head gasket failure and engine overheating — EGR cooler failure is the leading cause of catastrophic engine failure on diesel engines
▸ Engine stalling at speed — fuel delivery failure can cause sudden loss of power in traffic or on highways
▸ Loss of brake assist and ABS in emergency — can significantly extend stopping distances
▸ Complete transmission failure — repair costs $3,000–$8,000+; vehicle may become undriveable
Complaint & Reliability Timeline
Annual complaints (blue) vs. composite reliability score (amber) — recall years marked in red
The blue line shows 139 total NHTSA complaints filed over 4 years, with the worst year being 2024 (43 complaints, including 2 crash reports).
The amber reliability line averaged 10/100 across the vehicle's life — dropping as low as 10 in 2023 when complaint severity peaked.
The recalls (red dashed lines) followed the first complaints by 1 year — a typical response window; neither unusually fast nor a pattern of denial.
Red dots on the amber line flag 3 years (2024, 2025, 2026) where complaints included crash events — these are the highest-severity incidents in the dataset.
