This dealership is a scam, my car isn't even safe to drive because the (PSM) needs to be replaced and none of the modules are communicating but somehow they passed the inspection. I bought this car as is 2/24/26 and 2 days later it started overheating. I took to Big Al's like they recommended and Big Al's replaced the coolant assembly the car was still overheating so Big Al's recommended the electrical shop and I took it to them. Tidewater Auto Electric didn't find any electrical problems. So I took it to Dave's Tire and Auto center and they said the PSM needs to be replaced and all of the module because they are no longer communicating with each other. That's not safe and yet carland sold it to me anyway.
My tail light S and brake lights is not working the components was burnt and bulbs was burnt and we put all new bulbs and put in new components and there still not working.and I've been pulled over about 4 times cause of it thankfully I didn't get a ticket so please put a recall on this so it can be fixed I love my SUV
The contact owns a 2009 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, another vehicle unexpectedly sped up coming from a parking lot and collided with the contact’s vehicle. The contact stated that due to the incident, the front and rear of the vehicle were damaged. The contact also stated that the air bag warning and the air bag did not deploy during the incident. No injuries were sustained, and no medical attention was provided. However, the contact stated that the next day, the contact suffered a severe headache, and the contact went to the emergency room for medical assistance. A Police report was filed. Within the last year I have replaced the right and left inner and outer tie rods, bought 4 new tires, maintained alignment and shortly after replaced the power steering hose and the driveshaft. Knowing I maintain my vehicle well, I drove myself and 4 friends 900 miles and the power steering fluid began leaking again. Mechanic tells me the rack and pinion needs replaced.I can hardly believe all this is wear and tear but it certainly caused a safety concern for me and my passengers. Now, another $2000
On February 22 our Ford Edge exploded in our driveway. We had only been home 15 minutes at the most when we heard the explosion. The vehicle was not running. We went outside and the vehicle was fully engulfed with flames. It was completely burned down to the metal and did over $7000 in damages to our home. It was parked in our driveway next to the home. Again, the car was not running. We have contacted the Ford Motor Company, but they keep giving us different dates on when we should hear from them. We have not had any prior issues with the vehicle and there wasn't any warning signs or any smell of gas anytime before the incident. The only recall we received was about the airbag and we took it to Ford to have it taken care of. When I called Ford after the incident, the customer care representative mentioned a recall about the gas tank bracket I believe, but we never received a notification about that. We haven't removed the vehicle from our property and it's still there. Ford hasn't asked to come look at it. They only requested the fire department report.

Fuel tank leaking at spot welds and mounting points. Fuel tank recall performed [XXX] @ 54,758 miles. We purchased the vehicle from a ford Dealer in Alpena MI Dean Arbour Ford in August of 2018. I have contacted this dealer about this issue as well as the Customer Care Center of Ford Motor Company. All tell me they only had a 2 year warranty on the repair. My concern is the recall was performed but did not fix this issue due to the same situation is happening with-in the same amount of time from manufacture date to the date of the original recall. Additionally, the contact noticed that fuel was leaking from the vehicle onto the ground. The contact who is as an independent mechanic, diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the fuel tank was leaking at the spot welds located on the upper part of the tank and at the mounting points on the fuel tank. The contact stated that the fuel tank was previously replaced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V712000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under the recall a second time, and that the vehicle was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 157,000.
2 years ago car started losing power so took to garage for tune up. Changed spark plugs. They said that I needed one of the coils changed as well. Costly job. This did not fix the issue. Took to another shop who said that the computer needed to be changed because computer was burning out the coil. Have picture of burned coil. Again, this time replaced computer and coils ( all 6 coils. $2000 fix. Almost year later again same issue. Go back to same garage, covered in warranty. Explains to me that this is something Ford is aware of and has done nothing about. Boards are shorting out coils. They replaced computer again and charged me to install. This time is lasted only 6 months. My car only has 121,000 miles on it. I should not have replaced computer 3 times in 2 years. Tell me that this is right? I cannot drive the car at all because this will cause the engine to crack. The car needs to be towed each time. Loss of power can cause accident. Scary
Brake Booster Failure. $947.45 to repair out of pocket expense. Thank God I was not injured or killed, nor was anyone else, or property damaged, as I was able to avoid a collision. There is a class action lawsuit over this defective Ford part.
When engaging brake pedal becomes very hard to push and having to push pedal all the way to the floor where it slows finally and then stops. It does not stop when push the brake pedal like normal. Pedal at the floor still not stopping then finally stops but by that time I could have ran into another car or through at stop light. I almost hit someone because of this.

I need to know about and where I can take to fix it
Without warning while driving my vehicle loses the ability to excelerate. I am lucky I haven't been hit by another car. I patiently wait and after a few seconds it will move forward into the turn. I do not get a reading or warning lights of any kind. This has just started happening and it has occurred 4 x this week. I have an appointment to have it serviced. After reading countless on-line reports it sounds like it is a throttle body Assembly or switch issue. Sometimes it drives perfectly...I am concerned about this safety issue. My Edge is older, but only has 56,000. miles on it. I suspect that I am still covered on the extended warranty since my vehicle has lower mileage.
Called dealer on 10-10-2022, 2:30pm to arrange repair and was told that the dealer would call me when parts were available. I have not been contacted by the dealer or any other party. If this is an urgent safety problem and my life may be at risk, shouldn’t this be a higher priority for the dealer and manufacturer; should I consider my potential loss of life or disability to be collateral damage? Urgent matters allowed to languish for a full year or more do not qualify as making a good faith effort to resolve a safety recall.
I was trying to see where do I take my vehicle for the recalls I have 3 under my vin number
When the car is at a complete stop or at low speed and then you start to drive again or pick up speed (ex: at a stop light or in a traffic jam) the car will jerk even when coasting and it will not pick up speed. It almost sounds like a belt is unwinding but it isn't. If I pull the car over, turn it completely off and wait a minute or two, it starts up again and drives with no problem. This happens several times a week. It also has a burning smell but no smoke is visible and nothing on the dashboard shows any indication of overheating engine. I've read online that this exact issue was found in newer models of the Ford Edge. No check engine light. Definitely a transmission issue as found in other newer models. This is a very dangerous issue and needs to be recalled.
I just submitted a complaint about the transmission system. It doesn't want to drive or speed up in slow traffic or when I'm trying to drive again after stopping. Upon a search, I came across a lot of complaints concerning the Ford Edge transmission and I screenshot a complaint from another Ford Edge owner that describes my ongoing issue EXACTLY as it happens to me. The Edge has a whole lot of transmission issues and on this particular site the complaints cover Edge 2007 through 2012. The transmission definitely needs to be recalled.

THIS IS A MANUFACTURING ISSUE AND SHOULD BE CONSIDER A RECALL FIX WITH NO COST TO THE OWNER.

Advised by mechanic that there are issues with the brake booster master cylinder that are causing serious braking issues. He's seen this issue in many ford vehicles of similar age recently. Said this issue is serious and can cause major damage to vehicle and safety concerns for drivers and passengers if brakes go out when vehicle is in use.
We have maintained this vehicle from its start. It has been developing a burn out on both rear turn signals in the last two years. The bulbs seem to require replacement more than once every six months. The bulbs seem to be overheating and actually melting the plastic between the bulb glass and the insert itself. Viewing this online it seems to be a problem that goes back for years and yet Ford maintains it is not their problem. I feel it's dangerous and could cause a fire if this continues and seems to affect a majority of customers.

I see I have two recalls on my vehicle, one states "remedy not yet available" and was issued over a year ago. Manufacturer Recall 21S12, NHTSA Recall Number 21V1158. When is a remedy going to be available? I have been aggressively pursued for the other recall but unable to get any representative from a Ford dealership to return my calls when leaving messages for mobile repair. I'm attempting a third dealership today. Another message left, doubt I will get a call back.
Manufacturer Recall 19S01, NHTSA Recall 19V001. I have contacted Bob Tomes Ford multiple times (John Grinn, Mobile service) leaving messages and my phone number. No call back. Today a scheduling representative was able to speak to someone at this dealership and was told they do not offer mobile repairs. I have received multiple notices from this dealership advertising "repairs at your home or work"!! I can't even get a return phone call but receive multiple mail notifications, man showing up at my home multiple times, same man following me down my alley, and just this weekend, someone scanning my license and leaving a notice. If I can't schedule the repair, how am I supposed to get this problem resolved that is a possible danger to my life?!?! No one will return my calls!
There has been no incident but I am unsatisfied with the amount of time the manufacturer is taking to remedy the situation. The recall is for a huge safety item and it means every time my family and I drive in my vehicle, we are unsafe. This does not meet the criteria for a road worthy vehicle until this is fixed. I called the FORD dealer for an update today and hope to have one soon.

We took our Ford Edge to Bowditch Ford and supposedly had the air bag igniter fixed. I now see from this website that the part has not been made available and the airbag is not safe. When will I know if the part is available and why did Bowditch tell us they replaced it?

INTERNET SEARCH REVEALED FUEL TANK RECALL OF 128,000 FORD EDGE AND LINCOLN MKX CARS BUILT AT OAKVILLE ASSEMBLY PLANT BETWEEN SEPTEMBER 1TH, 2008 THROUGH JULY 1ST, 2010. MY CAR WAS BUILT AT THAT PLANT AT THAT TIME BUT I WAS NEVER INFORMED OF THE RECALL.(FOMOCO RECALL NUMBER: 15S31) I CALLED FORD AND THEY SAID MY CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

AT THAT POINT THE VEHICLE DID OPERATE AS USUAL. SINCE IT HAPPENED I HAVE READ COUNTLESS REPORTS OF THIS SAME ISSUE IN THIS VEHICLE WITH MANY COMPLAINTS. THIS IS A POTENTIALLY DEADLY ERROR FROM FORD AND THEIR TRANSMISSIONS IN THIS VEHICLE. I BELIEVE IT IS RELATED TO THE SENSORS ON THE TRANSMISSION. TAKATA RECALL - I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION IN JANUARY 2018 FROM MY CREDIT KARMA ACCT THAT MY VEHICLE WAS A PART OF THE TAKATA RECALL. UPON RESEARCH WITH NHTSA, I FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO REMEDY FOR THE RECALL. A FEW MONTHS LATER I RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT FORD WAS OFFERING TO COVER RENTAL CAR EXPENSES FOR THOSE EFFECTED BY THE RECALL WITH NO REMEDY. BUT WHEN I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIPS TO ASK FOR THE RENTAL, I WAS TOLD THAT THE RENTAL COMPANY THAT FORD DEALS WITH, ENTERPRISE, WAS REFUSING TO HONOR THE OFFER. IT IS NOW NOVEMBER 2018, AND NO REMEDY HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED. MY CAR IS IN GROUP 5, OF WHICH ONLY A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE OF EFFECTED VEHICLES HAVE BEEN FIXED. IT IS ALSO MY UNDERSTANDING THE REMEDY PARTS MANUFACTURER IS BASED IN MEXICO. WITH THE CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS BETWEEN POTUS AND MEXICO, THAT MEANS THE EXPORTING AND DISTRIBUTION OF GOODS WILL TAKE LONGER. I FIND THAT THE PRUDENT THING FOR FORD TO DO IS MOVE MANUFACTURING TO THE US. I UNDERSTAND THIS MAY BE MORE EXPENSIVE FOR FORD IN THE SHORT TERM. BUT IT WOULD BENEFIT THEM MORE IN THE LONG RUN BY GETTING THESE PARTS MADE QUICKER AND DISTRIBUTED QUICKER, RATHER THAN A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT OR INDIVIDUAL LAW SUITS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN INCONVENIENCED OR WORSE, HURT OR DIED. I FEEL LIKE IT WILL BE YEARS BEFORE MY CAR IS FIXED. AT THIS TIME, I DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO SIT IN MY FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. THE BRAKE BOOSTER WHICH IS A KNOWN PROBLEM ON EVERY FORD EDGE FROM 2007 - 2013 STARTED MAKING A HISS OR LOUD SQUEAKING NOISE WHEN PRESSURE WAS APPLIED TO THE BRAKES. FOR THIS 6 YEAR FORD HAS INSTALLED THE EXACT SAME MANUFACTURERS PART, BUT FORD HAS ONLY RECALLED SOME OF THESE YEARS DESPITE THE SAME ISSUES OCCURRING WITH EVERY MODEL YEAR. AFTER A WHILE THE NOISE INTENSIFIED AND THEN THE BRAKES FAILED!!! SOMETIMES THE BRAKES WOULD NOT ENGAGE UNTIL THE PEDAL WAS MASHED TO THE FLOOR, SOMETIMES THEY ENGAGED AS SOON AS THE PEDAL WAS PRESSED. THIS CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT. I OWN 3 DIFFERENT MODEL FORD VEHICLES, BUT THIS COULD BE THE LAST FORD I PURCHASE. WHEN DRIVING MY 2009 FORD EDGE WITH UNDER 46,000 MILES, THE BRAKE PEDAL HAS A SPONGY FEEL AND IT BECOMES QUITE DIFFICULT TO USE THE BRAKE AT TIMES. IT ALSO MAKES A HISSY OR SQUEALING NOISE. WELCH FORD IN HARDEEVILLE, SC. NEITHER DEALERSHIPS WILL REPLACE THE AIRBAGS BECAUSE THEY STATE THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS ARE "NOT AVAILABLE" AND THAT FORD WILL SEND ME A LETTER ADVISING ME WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. HE ADVISED ME TO CHECK WITH FORD TO SEE IF THE BRAKE BOOSTER WAS COVERED SINCE OTHER VEHICLES WITH SIMILAR PROBLEM HAD A RECALL OR SERVICE WARRANTY. FORD MOTOR COMPANY WAS NOT WILL TO COVER IT DUE TO IT DID NOT FALL UNDER THERE RECALL FOR THE 2009 MODEL YEAR BUT COVERS MODEL YEAR 2007 - 2008 THEN 2010 - 2013. MY VEHICLE WAS PLACE IN THE SHOP TO HAVE THE DEFECTIVE PART REPLACE AT MY EXPENSE.

THE TSB'S EXPLICITLY INDICATE THE 6F50 AND 6F55 TRANSMISSION. MY 2009 FORD EDGE HAS A 6F50 TRANSMISSION THAT HAPPENS TO BE BUILT ON 10/24/2008 AND THEREFORE, FORD IS LIMITING ITS LIABILITY BECAUSE A DATE RANGE WAS PLACED ON THE TSB. I WENT ONLINE AND DISCOVERED THAT SEVERAL OTHER FORD EDGE OWNERS ARE HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND ARE TOLD THEY NEED TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY. THERE HAVE BEEN RECALLS ON TANKS ON MODELS FROM 2007 UP TO 2014 BUT APPARENTLY NOT THE 09. THE LEAK IS APPARENTLY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND NOT CAUSED BY DAMAGE TO THE TANK FROM A FOREIGN OBJECT STRIKING IT . IT IS TERRIBLY FRIGHTENING TO ME TO KNOW THAT FORD HAS NOT STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE AND MAYBE ONLY A FATALITY WOULD FORCE THEM TO SO. I TRAVEL DAILY WITH A 30 MONTH AND 17 MONTH OLD IN MY CAR AND CANNOT IMAGINE HAVING TO GET THEM BOTH OUT OF 5 POINT RESTRAINT CAR SEATS IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE. REPLACED ALL BULBS AND SOCKETS FOR EACH AND STILL NOT WORKING. MECHANIC REPLACED WIRING HARNESS ON TURN SIGNAL AND FINALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM. BURNT OUT BULB WAS BLACK AND CHARRED AND SHORTED OUT THE ENTIRE DRIVERS REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY CONTROLS AND SENSORS.

I PURCHASED THE 2009 FORD EDGE SPORT ON AUGUST 29, 2009. I FIRST EXPERIENCED AIR LEAKAGE FROM MY RIMS IN DECEMBER 2009 AND I TOOK THE CAR TO TOM WOOD FORD IN JANUARY 2010. I HAD THE CAR BACK TO TOM WOOD SEVERAL TIMES AND IN OCTOBER 2010 FORD REPLACED ALL 4 WHEELS WITH NEW ONES. HOWEVER I HAVE CONTINUED TO HAVE THE AIR LEAKAGE DURING COLD WEATHER. I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR TO A TIRE SHOP AND REALIZED THIS IS A DEFECT WITH THESE WHEELS. EVERY 4 TO 6 MONTHS THEY HAVE TO HAVE THE TIRE REMOVED AND THE WHEEL CLEANED OF THE CORROSION THAT DEVELOPS ON THE INSIDE OF THE RIM. FORD HAS REFUSED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND IT AFFECTS ALL 2009 FORD EDGE SPORTS WITH THE 22 INCH WHEELS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND CAN CAUSE HANDLING ISSUES. HOWEVER, WE HAD DRIVEN FROM SOUTH FLORIDA TO ATLANTA AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND SUDDENLY THE PROBLEM WAS THERE. JUST PRIOR TO THE HARD BRAKING, THERE WAS A LOUD WHISTLING SOUND INSIDE THE VEHICLE, COMING FROM UNDER OR BEHIND THE DASHBOARD. IT SOUND A THOUGH THERE WAS A VACUUM LEAK, BUT THE SOUND LASTED ONLY A SHORT TIME. LATER WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE I HEARD THE WHISTLING SOUND AGAIN. I CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD AND DASH BUT SAW NOTHING OBVIOUSLY WRONG. AS THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE, I WAS VERY SURPRISED WHEN THE FORD SERVICE REP IN ATLANTA TOLD WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. THIS VEHICLE, CURRENTLY HAS 40,650 MILES ON IT. AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT THE ODOMETER READ, 38, 648 MILES. IT COST ME $658 TO HAVE THE PROBLEM CORRECTED. NO WAY THIS TYPE PROBLEM SHOULD OCCUR AT THIS MILEAGE. UPON CHECKING FURTHER, I FOUND THAT FORD HAD ISSUED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM (CSP) 13N02 TO ADDRESS THIS VERY PROBLEM IN MODEL YEARS 2010 THROUGH 2013. IN SPEAKING TO FORD THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE, SINCE MY "VIN" WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CSP. FORD FURTHER STATED, IF THE NHTSA DEMEANED MY PROBLEM TO THE SAME AS THE PROBLEM AS COVERED IN CSP 13N02, AND IF THERE ARE ENOUGH COMPLAINTS, THEN PERHAPS A NEW PROGRAM WOULD BE INITIATED. AND AT THAT TIME I COULD BE REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIRS. IN AN ONLINE SEARCH I SEE THERE ARE OTHERS WITH THIS VACUUM BOOSTER ASSEMBLY FAILURE. I WROTE A LETTER TO FORD AND THEY REJECTED MY COMPLAINT. THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD. INDUSTRIAL PLASTIC MELTS AT ABOUT 300 OF. THIS IS A DESIGN DEFECT WHICH FORD IS IGNORING! BOTH TAIL LIGHTS HAVE BURNED HOLES THROUGH THEIR OUTER CASINGS. THEREFORE, WHEN I BRAKE THERE IS NO DIFFUSION OF THE BULB, JUST THE BRIGHT LIGHT OF THE BULB SHINING. MECHANICS AT MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP ADMITTED THE PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY FAULTY WIRING, WHICH MAKES THE BULBS BURN TOO HOT, RESULTING IN THE MELTING OF CERTAIN AREAS OF THE PROTECTIVE CASINGS. BUT AFTER INFORMING FORD MOTOR COMPANY OF THE ISSUE, INCLUDING SENDING PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE, I'M STILL BEING ASKED TO PAY FOR ALMOST HALF OF THE REPAIR; THIS WHEN I DIDN'T CAUSE THE PROBLEM AND I'M STILL COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY PACKAGE OF UP TO 10 YEARS OR 100,000 MILES. ABOUT 8-9 MONTHS AGO, MOROONE FORD OF MARGATE (UNDER WARRANTY) FIXED AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE (WHERE NO LIGHTS WERE SHOWING) THEY CLAIMED IT WAS A FORD ISSUE AND THEY REPLACED IT (NO COST). WELL NOW THIS HAPPENED AND MOROONE FORD OF MARGATE SAID, "BLOWN ENGINE, $7,700 TO REPLACE + $400 FOR COOLING FAN." THEY SAID THE COOLING FAN BROKE (NO WARNING) AND THE ENGINE BLEW. NO WARNING, LIGHTS, ETC... WHEN I LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD WAITING FOR AAA (NO SMOKE, NO SMELL... YET A BLOWN ENGINE (FULL REPLACEMENT)... I WILL FIGHT THIS BECAUSE I BELIEVE THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT THEY TRIED TO FIX PRIOR AND THIS HAPPENED AGAIN. I ALSO DON'T BELIEVE THE ENGINE WAS DESTROYED. MANIFESTATION: ON A REASONABLE INCLINE, WHERE MOST OTHER VEHICLES I HAVE TESTED DO NOT ROLL BACK BETWEEN THE TIME THE DRIVER SHIFTS THE RIGHT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ON TO THE ACCELERATOR WHILE THE GEAR IS IN "D" MODE, THE FORD EDGE WILL ROLL BACK. DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION WHETHER THERE IS ON COMING CROSS TRAFFIC OR NOT, ONE CAN DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR FURTHER AND THE CAR TENDS TO SLIGHTLY "SHOOT" FORWARD. IF THERE IS CROSS TRAFFIC (VEHICULAR OR PEDESTRIAN) ONE MUST SHIFT THE FOOT BACK TO THE BRAKE AGAIN VERY QUICKLY, OR ELSE THE CAR WILL ROLL BACK AND HIT WHATEVER IS BEHIND. THE ROLL BACK CAN, IF ALLOWED, CONTINUE FOR SEVERAL FEET DEPENDING UPON THE GRADIENT. THE DEALER CLAIMS THIS ISSUE TO BE NORMAL FOR THIS TRANSMISSION AND HAS NO FIX FOR IT.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING AND THEN IT WENT OFF. AGAIN, I TOOK IT IN FOR SERVICE, AGAIN, THEY FOUND NOTHING. THEY SAID THERE WAS NO CODES SHOWING UP FOR ANYTHING WRONG. THIS IS A SEVERE SAFETY ISSUE. SOMEONE COULD GET KILLED WHEN THIS HAPPENS AND I HAVE VERY SMALL GRANDCHILDREN THAT COULD BE WITH ME. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I CONTACTED FORD DIRECT AND A SPECIALIST FROM FORD CONTACTED ME TODAY BY THE NAME OF DENISE. SHE SAID FORD WOULDN'T REPLACE ANY PARTS WITHOUT A CODE COMING UP IN THEIR COMPUTER. I ASKED HER IF THEY WERE GOING TO JUST WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE WAS KILLED AND SHE SAID THAT FORD WILL NOT APPROVE ANY PARTS BEING REPLACED SINCE THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. FORD HAS NOW PUT APPROXIMATELY 500 MILES THEMSELVES ON THE VEHICLE TEST DRIVING IT, AND I STILL HAVE NO SOLUTION. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. THE PRIMARY CONCERN IS THAT THE DRIVER MUST TURN ATTENTION FROM THE ROAD TO TRY TO READ THE GAUGES IN DAYLIGHT CONDITIONS THUS CREATING A POTENTIALLY UNSAFE OPERATING CONDITION. I HAVE REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO FORD AND MY LOCAL DEALER. THE LOCAL DEALER HAS INDICATED THAT HE HAS RECEIVED OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS CONDITION, BUT AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO RESOLUTION OFFERED BY FORD. FORD INDICATES THIS VEHICLE OPERATES WITHIN THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR MAKE/'MODEL. THE NIGHT TIME READABILITY IS GOOD. THIS IS ONLY A DAYLIGHT ISSUE UNDER DIFFERING LEVELS OF AMBIENT LIGHT. *TR

WHEN SHE DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AT 8 MPH, SHE HEARD A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. IF THE ABS HAD NOT ENGAGED, SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO STOP COMPLETELY. THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND COULD NOT FIND ANY FAILURES. THE CONTACT INFORMED THEM THAT THE SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED FIRST AND THEN THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE TEST DRIVEN AT OVER 40 MPH IN ORDER TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT NOT TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,020.
