Dodge Charger, 2016, won't turn on a list. Key is in the cup holder. On the driver's side also there are many videos showing this same issue with many dodge, twenty sixteen chargers.

I am the original owner of a 2016 Dodge Charger SXT AWD (VIN: [XXX] ). On February 3, 2026, while driving at highway speeds, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic mechanical failure. I heard a loud metallic grinding noise from underneath, followed by an immediate loss of power and "Service Transmission" and "SERV AWD" warnings on the dashboard. The vehicle became inoperable, and the engine could not be shut off through normal means after the incident. Recall Context: This vehicle has previously had Safety Recalls T03 (Driveshaft Bolts) and U60 (Front Driveshaft) performed in 2017/2018. However, the current failure is identical to the safety defects described in those recalls. This indicates a Recall Remedy Failure, posing a severe safety risk to the driver and others on the road. Current Dispute: The vehicle was towed to Preston CDJR of Dover, but the dealer claims they cannot diagnose the issue or read fault codes. They are attempting to charge $200/hour for unsuccessful diagnosis attempts. I have opened a case with Dodge Corporate (Case #XXX), but the Case Manager has temporarily closed the case due to the dealer's inability to provide a diagnosis, and neither party has responded to my inquiries for 2 business days. Requested Action: I am filing this complaint to request a formal investigation into this recurring safety defect and to compel the manufacturer to honor the safety recall by performing a physical inspection and necessary repairs at no cost to the consumer. I recently tried to get my oil changed and they told me that the oil filter housing was cracked. After doing research on this there is several sources saying that there is lots that has had the same malfunction. Surprised there isn't a recall on this part

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact purchased the vehicle, and the vehicle was taken for the Emissions Test; however, the vehicle failed the Emissions Test. The contact notified the dealer and was informed that some unknown sensors had been replaced, and to allow for a week for the vehicle to adjust. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact stopped by the dealer to pick up the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted, and the contact drove the vehicle to the residence. The contact stated that in the evening, the vehicle failed to restart. After several attempts, the vehicle restarted. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while driving 40 MPH, there was white smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle. The contact stated that there was a plastic burning odor and an abnormal fuel odor entering the vehicle through the A/C vents. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact requested that the vehicle have a full inspection, and the dealer refused. The contact was informed that the spark plugs and fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.

Odometer Faud. The contact purchased a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while attempting to have the vehicle diagnosed, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was approximately 116,000 and at the time of diagnosis, it was discovered that the mileage was approximately 120,000.

Unknown/. When Press on brake car still moves. Also when put in parked car will move forward or backwards a few inches. Steering wheel does not feel right as if feels not secure when driving.when trying to go in right lane on freeway steering wheel was not all the way responding as if felt like it was loose and not connected to what pairs it’s spose to be. My charger was a michigan state patrol vehicle all its maint. Kept up on and all recalls fixed and repaired properly, yet driving at 45mph and my front driveshaft gives out and ends up smashing off my transmission and transfer case and it hit and almost went through the passanger side floor board right under the passanger seat which if it had it would of messed my passanger up bad ,so now 12k + in repairs. Dodge has had multiple recalls over the years for this exact problem, so i guess its time for another one, idk how you can say the recall has been fixed on vehicle if it breaks exactly the same way, that means its not fixed. 06

The interior door panels on both front doors of my 2016 Dodge Charger SXT have warped and pulled away from the frame near the window area. The defect appears to be heat-related, and the panels have progressively worsened over time. This issue has not only affected the cosmetic integrity of the vehicle, but it also poses a safety risk by potentially interfering with side airbag deployment or window functionality. I believe this could compromise occupant safety in the event of a side-impact collision. The issue is visible and can be inspected upon request. The problem has not been officially confirmed by a Dodge dealer, but it is widely documented online and the subject of an active class action lawsuit [XXX] et al. v. FCA US LLC). I reported this defect to CarComplaints.com over three years ago and have seen other owners report identical issues with Chargers from similar model years. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or an insurance representative. There were no warning lights or messages related to this issue. The defect gradually became visible approximately two years after I purchased the vehicle. To date, no resolution or support has been provided by Dodge or FCA despite the known and recurring nature of this problem. Smelled fuel leaking inside car towards rear seat. Electrical connector to fuel pump had fuel surrounding it (located under back seat, on left side of car). Upon disconnecting connector, I notice two right most pins of connector (on pump) had a burn mark which cause a hole and allowed fuel to leak out.

I have a continuous and ongoing problem with my draft shaft specifically the carrier bearing. This part has been giving me trouble for over a couple of years now and feel like it's going to break every time I pull in reverse and my local dealer manufacturer currently has no recalls for this which in 2018 they did.

I repaired my drive shaft in May of 2024 and I am already having this problem again. It appears this is a common issue with this vehicle. My vehicle is a 2016 Dodge charger. There’s multiple issues I’ve had with this car since day one. One of them almost causing a crash on the interstate going 70mph. The car shut down though the lights remained on and the message service ESC electronic stability control came on, service AWD system, service electric power steering, service brake system and at the time I just left a certified dodge dealership where they did a “” flash recall on the engines computer. Me and my infant child were stranded for over 5 hours until the car decided it would start back. This power loss caused the power steering to lock up and no movement besides me coasting to get over into the emergency lane on the interstate almost being hit by multiple vehicles. The Service ESC came on numerous times since then and still keeps coming on and dodge says it’s nothing and clears the codes. The drive shaft bolts backed out and caused my drive shaft to snap in half costing me over $1700.00. The sec system never works properly it stays stuck in awd mode and seldomly goes in RWD mode. When turning traction control off it automatically kicks into awd not sure if that’s suppose to happen but makes no sense if so. Also the turn signal switch on the steering column is faulty causing the wipers to come on any time you use the turn signal or turn the wheel to make a turn in the vehicle. That has caused me to almost wreck more times then I can count. This car and this cars year make and model definitely has a lot of safety issues and should be investigated by the manufacturer. Unexpected vehicle movement from power Train. I was changing my tire and the jack caused my vehicle body side to deform causing the vehicle to fall and nearly broke my leg.

The car has had over 5 batteries in the last year and 3 in the last 2 months. Something is constantly draining the battery in my car and making them go very bad. Also the car will be dead if I park it too long because of the electrical issue and it’s been a huge problem for me.

Loud noise coming from where the center console should be. I thought it could be something wrapped around the drive shaft but instead the drive shaft carrier bearing needs replaced. You can't get a shop to buy just the part they have to replace the entire piece!

My 2016 Charger has the same problem described in Emissions Recall UB4, Revision 5. When filling tank with gas, there is a very strong odor of gas. After about three days of driving, it dissipates. Revision 5 by added 2015 and 2016 Dodge Chargers, but I have been told that my vehicle is not included in that recall. It most certainly is a safety issue. Again, it has the exact problem as described in that recall. The gas smell is so strong, I cannot park it in the garage. I'm not sure if NHTSA issued the Revision 5, or Fiat Chrysler issued it.

I was driving down the road, and without warning there were flames coming out of the dash and smoke and within minutes the car was fully engulfed. Luckily, my daughter and I got out, but I am now left with nothing.

Drive train issues

Interior door panels are letting loose and detaching from frame. Seems seems to be rather unsafe with the side airbags and all. Many forums online from Dodge Charger owners with same issue on all (4) doors. We need help getting Dodge to recall this issue and help make it right. We are getting quotes of up to $3,500 to complete the repair and replace interior door panels.

Fuel pump is inoperable due to cheap make(plastic). Leaks out at the top due to the lid and gas comes out thru there right underneath of where my children sit.

Bolts the attach the emergency brake cable assembly to the frame undercarriage can become rusted and corroded and can pop out which causes the emergency brake to not function correctly which results in transmission damage, shifting while towing, shifting while vehicle jacked up, and possible parked incline vehicle roll especially if car is not able to shift into park during an emergency.

Headlamps are not working therefore causing a safety issue when driving at night. Initially, 2 years ago, April 2021 the driver headlamp was not working. Dodge dealership had replaced and within the year the bulb would come off and on intermittently. It cost over $400.00. On March 18, 2022 I took it back to Dodge dealership and because it was working that day they just said to bring it when it was not working? They had the car for the whole day and did not inspect anything. Now a year later both of my headlamps are not working and took it back to them again. Now my fuses are melted and have been told by them that the cars electrical system is faulty. The car will need a new PDC Power Distribution Center unit that controls the electrical power which is no longer made. He found a dealer that has the unit available but also includes the wires harness . The charge for this including labor is 5300 if he the dealer will sell it to him. He did not advise of price for part and labor separately. The dealer charged me 212.00 to tell me this. Meanwhile I have a car that is only 7 years old that I cannot drive safely at night and it will not pass motor vehicle inspection which is in 2 weeks. Therefore, now I own a car I cannot legally have on the road because of this issue with the headlamps.

The headlight bulbs, like a past recall on the 2011-2012 Chargers, regularly fry through fuses and stop working. This is obviously caused by a more serious issue in the vehicle and should be recalled. We have also switched the bulbs to see if that changes anything. After still having problems with the light going out, the repair shop I took it to informed me that the fuse can be switched for a quick fix, although it is not fixing the root of the problem, and this is a very common issue among these types of cars.

Car has strong smell of gas inside. Seeing by the other reports here that there is a regular problem with the fuel pump causing this issue. Is a safety hazard for obvious reasons. Drive shaft failed last year at less than 60,000 miles, but luckily had it replaced under dealership warranty. Others have not been so lucky, as I can see in these reports. Like tons of other reports here, door panels are also warping and disconnecting from the inside of the car. A completely cheap and poor design, and am shocked to see that nearly EVERY problem I've experienced with this car is COMMONLY experienced by other owners of this car. No idea how there haven't been more recalls, it's criminal that owners of this vehicle are left to foot the bill (THOUSANDS of $$$) for all of its defects.

The door panels started to peel away from the door. My car was still under warranty at the time and the door panels were replaced by the dealership. after a year the door panels have started to peel back again. It looks like it will keep the side airbag from deploying correctly if it is ever needed. I feel it is unsafe and should be part of a recall since it seems to be a common problem with these cars.

The power steering goes in and out completely loosing power steering while Maneuvering A curve in the road it completely stops or if it's already out it will come back on while steering so your giving a lot of force then suddenly you have power steraing again you harshly turn to almost swerve off the road or towards traffic.

Airbags did not deploy in a high speed frontal collision.

as i was driving getting ready to make a turn i suddenly lost control of my car. The steering wheel became stiff and was unable to move it ultimately causing me to crash, Dodge/Chrysler needs to get there stuff together and do something about this, this is ridiculous, would not recommend buying anything involved with the brand whatsoever

Additionally, the front driver’s side interior door panel was unsecured and partially detached; however, the door was able to be opened, closed, and unlocked normally. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. Strong smell of raw gas when fuel tank is 1/2 full(+). The smell is inside and outside the vehicle (mostly on driver's side near back door & wheel well) whether vehicle is running or not. The smell is just as strong outside as inside. When fuel level falls below 1/2 tank, the gas smell reduces. Removed rear seat, drivers side fuel tank cover have a crack in it. A puddle of gas was sitting on top of the fuel pump & a brown burn mark near the electrical plug. Google search: many complaints of fuel pump leakage. The fuel pump still works, it pumps/primes when the key is switched to the ACC position & the car cranks when pushed to turn on. The issue is fuel is leaking from the pump upward when tank is at or above 1/2 full. Tried to order new pump from local dealership (Northpoint Chrysler Dodge) who said it calls for a different part#, is out of stock with no expected date of availability, & is not available anywhere within their network. September 8th, went online to a site that provides OEM parts (World Parts Direct). They said the part was not available until September 23rd. Since they provided an availability date, I ordered the part & waited. The delivery arrived on the 29th. What arrived have a totally different part# with an electrical connector that must replace the factory connector. In order to install, the factory harness must be cut, spliced, soldered, & heat shrink a rubber sleeve to protect the soldered wires. I questioned the different part#, was told that is what their supplier sent, it is OEM, & should work. The new connector came with a diagram showing to switch the 2nd & 3rd pin from the factory connector into the new connector. The factory (+) & (-) pins are side-by-side, the new connector separates them. Fuel pump wiring is faulty, dangerous. Raw gas encountering electrical connectors is unsafe, can be explosive or deadly. Not inspected/repaired by dealer or mfg, no CEL, avail for inspection if needed. Let's not wait for someone to die for recall.

The rear drivers side passenger door will not open from the outside, and it wont open from the inside either. If someone needed to get out of or in to this car in a hurry (say it was on fire) this would be very bad. The car has not had anything impact it on this side.

I’ve been smelling fuel inside the car after filling up and around the rear driver side tire and found fuel leaking in the front of that driver side rear tire. I removed the back seats to find fuel sitting on top of the fuel level valve. I dried up everything and unplugged the fuel pump electrical connector to find fuel leaking from the plug itself. I’ve been having issues with me passing out after filling up my car and after me finding this it makes me believe this is the issue to my health problems.

I have multiple Dodge Chargers ranging from 2011 to 2016 and for some reason the fans broke on all of them placing a hole in all the radiators. The fan broke on one car more than once. As a result, the cars begin to overheat. Countless of money has been spent buying these parts. I believe there is a defect in the fans on these vehicles. I have been left on the side of the road with my children a few times because of my car overheating. My 2016 may need a new engine due to fan breaking. Please look into conducting a recall on the Dodge Chargers cooling fan from the year 2011 to 2017.

All four of my vehicle doors panel are coming apart leaving all the wiring getting damaged by heat and cold. They have so many complaints about this matter and these Dealerships are saying they not responsible for it. Total cost $2400

Car wouldnt start made a clicking sound on April 30. Started and drove home from store. On March 31 the car died on me in traffic with no warning. Towed to mechanic and it has been there since March 31, 2020. Still in shop for repairs of the Tipm

3 of my 20” wheels cracked at different times. It causes my tires to go flat.

The car randomly dies. I will come to a stop sign or stop light and it will shut off without warning. Usually I put the car in park and it starts back up without issues. Last time it happened when I started it back up it was stuck in 3rd gear. I've had it towed to Landmark dodge before and they said cam shaft sensor so they replaced it. Then it happened again and they agreed it was the battery. Replaced the battery. Does it again (this last time when it wouldn't come out of 3rd gear. Check engine light now on and no traction control) tow to Landmark they keep it for 3 days and they said it was acting normal and they see nothing wrong. Waiting for it to happen AGAIN. Every time Landmark tells me my car is fine.

Kept smelling gas after filling up and off and on . Did a fill up and gas was so strong had to call a tow truck. Dealership said fuel pump assembly connector had high resistance causing the top of the fuel pump to melt.

No warning lights. Loses power, shuts down when traveling. Must pull over, come to a complete stop, put vehicle in park, wait 2-3 minutes sometime longer before it will start back up, Has been occurring for at least 6`months now. Repair shop/dealer unable to confirm due to the fact that it doesn't occur when test driven!!

Chrysler/|Dodge 300's/Charger have a known issue with door panel warping because of material or design defect. A judged rule 08/26/21 that there is an expressed warranty and that they should be repaired outside of the manufacture's warranty, which is when the defect shows up. I have tried both the dealership and customer care Auburn Hills, Michigan to no avail. I am stuck with making the very costly repair myself on a vehicle that I can't sell for what should be its value without the defect showing. I am a disable veteran and a senior so neither of those prospect are appealing. What can I do to get the dealer to fix the defect in light of the judge's ruling or other consumer protection laws? I need to get a replacement vehicle and can't get a reasonable return on this investment with the defect. Please help me.

Driver Seat will automatically move forward or back during the car actively moving. Moving all the way forward and extending back where unable to reach pedals. Extremely dangerous potentially causing and accident, with serious leg injuries. The emergency break will automatically occur with no vehicles/obstructions that would set off the alert, on the highway , potentially being rear ended. The problems have been occurring approximately 1 yr

The door panels on both drivers door and front passenger door have completely separated from the door exposing airbags and electrical components for windows and locks.

The seatbelt is clicked in the seatbelt light goes off and the the service airbag system light comes on.

both of my front door panels and dash are peeling away. Took vehicle to Redland's Dodge and was told there was nothing they could do. We were instructed to contact Dodge directly. Dodge corporate declined the claim, stating it was not manufacturer defect. I have noticed others Dodge owners with similar complaints.

Door panel is separating from the door and window on the passenger side

Not sure of how to report, but own a 2016 Charger. My panels are coming off of doors. Of course no longer under warranty, but Dodge will not fix. This is my third Charger and I've never had this problem before. Very disappointing. This clearly is due to bad workmanship. Nothing I could have done to prevent this!!! DODGE SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FIR THEIR SHABBY WORKMANSHIP!!!!!

MY GAS PRY JUST TAKES OFF AND I CAN'T STOP IT

I WAS HEADED TO WORK YESTERDAY MORNING AND BEFORE I GOT TO WORK I HEARD A LOUD NOICE UNDER THE HOOD AND SMOKE STARTING ROLLING OUT OF UNDER THE HOOD. I PULLED OVER TO THE CLOSEST INTERSECTION TO GET OFF HIGHWAY AND DISCOVERED OIL ALL OVER THE CAR AND ALL UNDER THE CAR. I CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP THAT I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR THROUGH (HAVEN'T EVEN MADE THE FIRST PAYMENT) AND THEY TOWED IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. FURTHER INSPECTION THEY SAID THE DESIGN OF THE CAR HOW IT PULLS AIR THROUGH THE FENDER IT SUCKED WATER UP FROM DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND HYDRO LOCKED THE MOTOR. I DO ZERO FIRST ROADS ON MY VEHICLES SO IT'S DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT FOR THIS TO HAPPEN DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY AND THROW A ROD THROUGH THE MOTOR. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY WON'T COVER IT NOR WILL MY INSURANCE. IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR. I NEED HELP!!

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED PRIOR TO A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BEING PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,500. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

I HAD TO REPLACE MY STARTER THAT WENT OUT 12/24/17, MY CAR WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY. I USED FRED MARTIN TO DO THE REPAIR. SUMMER OF JUNE 2019, MY CAR WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY. I HAD TO REPLACE THE STARTER AGAIN. I BOUGHT THE STARETERFROM AUTO ZONE, A STARTER FOR A 2016 DODGE CHARGER R/T. UPON REPLACING THE STARTER WITH THE NEW STARTER WE REALIZED THAT IT WOULD NOT FIT AND THERE WAS ANOTHER STARTER ON THE VEHICLE THAT WAS NOT A R/T STARTER (WHICH FRED MARTIN HAD PUT ON). THIS PAST SUNDAY (3/15/20), MY STARTER HAS WENT OUT ONCE AGAIN, IN MY PARKING LOT, SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT FOR A STARTER TO KEEP GOING OUT WITHOUT ANY CLUE. PLEASE HELP ME IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THERE IS A POPPING OR CRACKING STRUCTURAL DEFECT SOUND THAT IS COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR OR PILLAR BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR DOOR. THE FIRST RIDE WAS WITH WITH CHRISTIAN THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT LUMS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND HEARD THE SOUND. HE MADE THE FIRST APPOINTMENT TO LOOK AT IT. 7/8/19 VEHICLE STILL UNDER FULL WARRANTY. LUMS AUTO CENTER IN WARRENTON OR, TRIED TO DO A BLIND REPAIR BY REPLACING THE SEATBELT TENSIONER. IT DID SEEM TO CALM IT DOWN BUT DID NOT WORK AND WE HAVE TAKEN IT BACK, A SECOND TIME AND THEY HAVE STATED THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE SOUND. BUT THEY DID OPEN THE DOOR AND CHECKED IT. 11/1/19 AND YET AGAIN WE ARE GOING TO TAKE IT BACK AGAIN AFTER CHRISTIAN THE SAME SERVICE ADVISOR THAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH DROVE WITH ME AND HEARD THE SOUND AGAIN. 01/3/20 NOW THE FULL WARRANTY IS OVER. INSIDE DOOR PANELING LIFTING OFF MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO LOCK/ UNLOCK. BEING TOLD THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE DODGE CHARGERS. VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE

I HAVE BEEN SMELLING A STRONG GAS ODOR WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. TODAY WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY I NOTICED A PUDDLE OF GAS UNDER THE CAR TOO. THE PUDDLE WAS UNDER THE LEFT REAR SEAT. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I FOUND A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS SEEMS TO BE THE FUEL PUMP UNDER THE REAR SEAT (WHERE MY 6 AND 7 YEAR OLD KIDS SIT). I PULLED UP THE REAR SEAT AND FOUND THE PUMP IS LEAKING THROUGH THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND LARGE AMOUNT OF GAS IS POOLED ON TOP OF THE PUMP!! I USED DOZENS OF PAPER TOWELS TO SOAK IT UP AND IT JUST KEPT COMING OUT. THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS ALSO BROWN/BURNED NEAR A COUPLE OF THE PROBES INDICATING THE GAS IS CAUSING A SHORT WITHIN THE PLUG!! I UNPLUGGED THE CONNECTOR AND FOUND THAT THE GAS IS ACTUALLY SPEWING OUT FROM INSIDE THE CONNECTOR ON THE PUMP, WHERE THE PRONGS ARE. RESEARCHING ONLINE I SEE MULTIPLE OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS THAT THE PLASTIC TOP OF THE PUMP CRACKS, AND THERE IS EVEN A WEBSITE THAT SELLS A METAL COVER TO HELP PROTECT THE FUEL PUMP COVER! I SEE MULTIPLE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION IN CHRYSLER VEHICLES AND YET NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT. THE MORE RESEARCH I'M DOING ONLINE THE MORE REPORTS I AM FINDING REGARDING FIRES OCCURRING IN MINOR COLLISIONS THAT SHOULD NOT END THAT WAY. INCLUDING A REPORT OF 4 PASSENGERS BURNED TO DEATH, AND SOME VEHICLES THAT COMBUSTED AFTER BEING PARKED. DOOR PANELS ARE PEELING UP WHERE THE TOP PART OF THE DOOR PANEL AND THE WINDOW MEET. I ALREADY HAD PANELS REPLACED BY DEALER WHEN THE CAR WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. MY HEAD LIGHT WONT TURN ON DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG

THE VEHICLE IS INDICATING THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. THE CAR IS 3 YEARS OLD WITH 34K MILES. THERE ARE RECALLS ON THE 2011-2015 DODGE CHARGERS FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM AND THE DEALERSHIP (STEALERSHIP) IS TELLING ME THAT THEY THE REPAIR IS NOT COVERED.

MY POWER STEERING WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF. IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. IT MAKES IT VERY EASY TO LOSE CONTROL. I HAVE TO PULL OVER, TURN OFF MY CAR, WAIT 10-30 SECONDS, TURN ON MY CAR, AND HOPE IT DOESN'T DO IT AGAIN.

AS THE SEAT BEGAN TO ADJUST, THE SEAT BEGAN TO CHOKE HER NECK. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AND HIT THE MEMORY SEAT BUTTON TO CEASE THE SEAT FROM ADJUSTING. THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED AND DID NOT NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE FAILURE HAD NOT OCCURRED SINCE THIS INCIDENT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. I THEN CONTACTED CUNSUMER COMPLAINTS THROUGH DODGE W6 SAID I OWN THIS 100 PERCENT. WHO HAS A WINDSHIELD DO THIS AT 3 YEARS OLD? DEFECT? I SAY YES! I AM SMELLING SOMETHING VERY UNUSUAL AS WELL WHEN DRIVING. MY CAR WAS SENT TO FRISCO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM IN FRISCO, TX A FEW DAYS AFTER THIS HAPPENED AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE RECEIVING A CODE P0430 WHICH MEANT THERE ARE ISSUES WITH MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I WAS TOLD THAT OVER 800,000 VEHICLES IN THE DODGE MAKE HAD BEEN RECALLED THIS YEAR DUE TO THIS SAME THING. I WAS TOLD MY CAR COULDN'T BE REPAIRED AT THE MOMENT AS THEY WERE UNSURE AS TO WHAT ACTUALLY NEEDED TO BE FIXED. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND I AM AFRAID THAT MY CAR IS GOING TO QUIT ON ME ANY DAY. I PULLED OVER TO SEE IF IT WOULD STOP AND IT DIDN'T SO I SLOWLY MADE MY WAY OVER TO FREEDOM CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM BY ED MORSE IN DUNCANVILLE, TX WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT MY IGNITION COILS ARE FAILING AND EVENTUALLY ALL OF THEM WILL FAIL AS THIS IS COMMON IS DODGE VEHICLES. IF THIS IS A KNOWN COMMON PROBLEM, WHY ARE THESE VEHICLES STILL BEING SOLD? WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN FIXED? I HAVE SPENT OVER $800 IN REPAIRS ON THIS CAR AND IT'S ONLY A 2016. I DID NOT EXPECT TO HAVE PROBLEMS THIS SOON ON SUCH A NEW CAR.

IT IS A 2016 AND I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP STATED THE ONLY WAY IT CAN BE FIXED IS TO REPLACE THE INSIDE DOOR PANELS. IF THIS IS HAPPENING TO OTHER CHARGERS, SHOULD THERE NOT BE A RECALL ON THEM? THE PICTURE ATTACHED IS OF THE DRIVER SIDE. THE PASSENGER SIDE IS WORSE.

I HAD MY CRUISE SET TO 57, ALL WAS FINE UNTIL I STARTED DOWN A SMALL HILL, MY CAR SPED UP TO 75, I COULD NOT GET CRUISE TO TURN OFF WITH THE BUTTONS OR BREAK,, I PANICKED , AND SLAMMED MY BRAKES, AND IT FINALLY STOPED.

LAST YEAR I HAD THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR PANEL WARP, SEPARATING UP NEXT TO THE WINDOW. IT WAS UNDER REGULAR WARRANTY SO THE DEALER TOOK CARE OF IT. YESTERDAY 8/15/19 THE PASSENGER DOOR DID THE SAME THING AND SEPARATED AT THE WINDOW. DOING RESEARCH ON THIS, I HAVE FOUND MANY PEOPLE WITH DODGE CHARGERS, CHRYSLER 300, THAT ARE HAVING THIS SAME EXACT ISSUE. I AM NOW AT 40500 MILES AND MOST LIKELY DODGE WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF THIS EVEN UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, WHICH MEANS A $1000 REPAIR. WITH AS MANY PEOPLE I HAVE SEEN WHILE RESEARCHING, THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP DEFECT WHICH COULD EFFECT SAFETY, ESPECIALLY IF THE WARPING OCCURS AROUND THE DOOR LOCK AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO ESCAPE DURING AN EMERGENCY SITUATION.

MY WIFE BOUGHT ME A 2016 DODGE HELLCAT LABOR DAY WEEKEND SALE, THIS WAS A PRESENT 9/1/2018 I BOUGHT THE LINCOLN 9/2/2018 SHE BOUGHT ME THE HELLCAT. WHEN MY WIFE WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY NEVER TOOK MY WIFE OUT TO TEST DRIVE THE CAR OR GAVE HER THE CAR FAX REPORT OR POINTED OUT ANY DEFECTS. THE DEALER ALSO TOLD MY WIFE THAT WE WERE THE SECOND OWNERS. I HAD TO BUY A CARFAX REPORT TO FIND OUT AND ARGUE WITH THE DEALERSHIP THAT I WAS THE 3RD OWNER. MY WIFE BOUGHT THE HELLCAT 9/2/2018 AND I HAD IT BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP 9/14/2018 FOR MULTIPLE ISSUES 1. RATTLING IN THE FRONT EVERY TIME DRIVE OVER A BUMP 2. THE VEHICLE WOULD PULL TO THE RIGHT. 3. A PIECE OF PAINT ON THE BACK BUMPER WHERE THE TRUNK MET THE BUMPER HAD DAMAGE. 4. TIRES WHERE BALLED ON THE INSIDE TIRE AND LESS THAN 1/32 ON THE OUTSIDE TIRE. ALL THESE ISSUES WERE A FIGHT AND SHOULD'VE NEVER BEEN QUESTIONED, THE DEALERSHIP KNEW ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AND I STILL HAD TO FIGHT, I ENDED UP PAYING FOR 2 TIRES THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR FOR 49 DAYS AT THE CROWN MOTORS OF REDDING. THE ONLY ISSUES RESOLVED WAS THE TIRES AND PAINT CHIP. THEN 11/12/18 TO 12/3/2018 THE CAR WAS BACK IN THE SHOP A SECOND TIME FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AT THE DODGE ROSEVILLE AUTO MALL TO FIX THE RATTLING PROBLEMS IN THE FRONT. IN BETWEEN THE DATES FROM 11/12 ' 12/3 THE DEALERSHIP CALLED ME UP AND SAID MY VEHICLE WAS READY. MYSELF AND THE SERVICE MANAGER TEST DROVE IT AND DISCOVERED THAT THE NOISE WAS STILL NOT FIXED. 12/3/2018 WE DROVE IT AGAIN AND THE NOISE WAS FINALLY FIXED BUT THE PULLING TO THE RIGHT STILL APPEARED TO STILL BE HAPPENING. PASSENGER DOOR INTERIOR TRIM IS WRAPPING AND PEELING AS WELL AS FLOOR TRIM OF THE DRIVERS SIDE NEXT TO THE AUTO SHIFT . ALWAYS MAINTAIN MY VEHICLE AND KEPT IT CLEAN AND SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS AND I GOT TO PAY OUT OF MY POCKET TO GET IT REPAIRED .MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER IT .. THIS SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY FOR SURE AS THERE SHOULD NO REASON THIS SHOULD BE WARPING LIKE THIS.

THE DOOR PANELS ARE COMING OFF. IT LOOKS UGLY. THE INTEGRITY OF THE PANELS IS LIFTING APART FROM SIDE OF THE DOORS. CAR GETS USED THIS IS OCCURRING BECAUSE OF THE HEAT.

MY DOOR PANELS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE ARE SWOLLEN CAUSING THE PANELS TO RISE OVER THE DOOR LOCK MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO PULL THE DOOR LOCK UP TO UNLOCK THE CAR IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY

I HAVE A 2016 DODGE CHARGER SXT. THE CARS DOOR PANELS ON ALL DOORS HAVE BEGAN TO PEEL BACK. THIS IS CAUSING THE WINDOW FRAMING TO BE EXPOSED AND CAUSING THE WINDOW TO NOT BE PROTECTED. THIS HAS BECOME A NATIONAL PROBLEM WITH THESE DODGE CHARGERS. THERE IS NO WARRANTY OUT THAT CAN COVER THESE ISSUES. THESE ARE NEWER MODEL CARS THAT HAVE DEFECTS THAT SHOULD BE FIXED. A RECALL NEEDS TO BE PUT IN PLACE SO THAT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM THIS ISSUE CAN GET IT REPLACED WITH NO COST OR AT A VERY LOW COST. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

AS REPORTED ON AT LEAST 7 OTHER CARS, THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ON TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP HEATED UP SO MUCH A HOLE WAS MELTED IN THE PLASTIC ALLOWING FUEL TO ESCAPE THE TANK AND SIT IN A PUDDLE UNDER THE BACK SEAT. THE ODOR OF GAS WAS TOO STRONG TO REMAIN IN THE CAR. POLICE PATROL UNIT, NATCHEZ POLICE, #260. THIS VEHICLE WAS SERVICED BY THE CITY BARN 3/1 AND NO PROBLEM WAS DETECTED. THE PROBLEM BECAME NOTICED OVER THE WEEKEND. THE ATTACHED PICTURE SHOWS THE HEAT SCORCHING WITHIN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION AND THE INVASIVE HOLE AROUND THE RIGHT MOST PIN.

THE FRONT ARM CONTROLS GO OUT QUICKLY. WENT TO A WELL KNOWN MECHANIC SHOP AND WAS INFORMED THIS IS COMMON AND FREQUENT IN CHARGERS AND MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE BLOWN. EVERY OTHER CHARGER I SEE, 2016 AND ABOVE HAVEVAT LEAST ONE HEADLIGHT OUT OR BOTH. THE HEADLIGHT ISSUE IS TOO FREQUENT FOR THIS TO BE JUST WEAR AND TEAR ON SUCH A RECENT VEHICLE. THE SUSPENSION WEARS OUT TOO QUICKLY AND IS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO HAVE REPAIRED. I OWNED A CAR FOR MORE THAN 5 YEARS PREVIOUSLY AND THE SUSPENSION DID NOT SHOW SIGNS OF WEAR UNTIL AT LEAST THAT 4TH OR MAYBE 5TH YEAR. THESE 2 ISSUES I TRULY FEEL ARE A DEFECT WITHIN THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE.

INSPECTED VEHICLES..(THIS IS THE 3RD 2016 CHARGER IN OUR FLEET THAT HAS HAD THIS CONCERN) FOUND FUEL PUMP COVER PLATE HAS A HOLE BURNT IN IT NEXT TO AND AROUND FUEL PUMP ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. I HAVE INCLUDED PICTURES OF TWO FUEL PUMP COVERS.. NOTE: VEHICLES HAD BETWEEN 45,000-72,000 MILES.

IN ADDITON ON THIS CAR, WHICH WE WILL CALL 261, THE FILTER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS EXAMINED. A SENSOR CONNECTION IN THE SIDE OF THE FILTER SHOWS SIGNS OF HEAT. THIS IS THE SIXTH CAR THIS FUEL PUMP PIN HOLE MELT HAS OCCURED ON, FROM 2012 TO 2016 MODELS. *TT

AFTER CHECKING THE OIL DIPSTICK, IT REGISTERED ZERO OIL. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR SOUND ALERTED ME THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS LOW. I TOWED MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND THAT AN OIL COOLER HOSE RUPTURED AND RESULTED IN COMPLETE OIL LOSS. IT IS STILL IN THE SHOP WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT HOSE. THIS DEFECTIVE HOSE PROBLEM WAS FOUND ON 2017 CHARGER MODELS THAT COULD RESULT IN ENGINE SEIZURE OR FIRE AND THEY WILL BE RECALLED IN SEPTEMBER 2018. APPARENTLY SOME 2016 MODELS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE OWNER OF THE SECOND GARAGE SAID DROPPING A VALVE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE V8 2006 CHARGER.

AFTER FILLING MY CHARGER UP WITH PREMIUM FUEL, IT IMMEDIATELY STALLS WITHOUT WARNING WHILE I AM DRIVING, I LOSE THE POWER STEERING AND I AM UNABLE RESTART IT RIGHT AWAY. THE LED LIGHTS ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE ARE VERY BRIGHT AT NIGHT. DUE TO THE CONTINUOUS BAR WITH NO BREAKS, IT IS DIFFICULT FOR OTHERS TO JUDGE DISTANCE AND SPEED. THIS IS VERY EVIDENT WHEN DRIVING IN MIXED TRAFFIC. VEHICLES WITH TWO SEPARATE LIGHTS ARE EASIER TO JUDGE DISTANCE AND SPEED DIFFERENCES. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH STEREO VISION LIMITATIONS AT NIGHT.

STRONG SMELL OF RAW FUEL AFTER CAR WAS DELIVERED ON MARCH 4, 2016. THERE IS A LEAK IN THE FUEL SYSTEM WHICH HAS NOT YET BEEN RECTIFIED BY THE DEALERSHIP AS OF MARCH 17, 2016. I DETECTED WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A LOOSE FUEL LINE BUT DEALERSHIP HAS NOT YET STATED WHETHER THAT IS THE PROBLEM. THEY REPLACED A FUEL RAIL BUT FUEL SMELL DID NOT GO AWAY. THIS WAS A SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD.

DEALERSHIP WAS NO HELP SO WE CONTACTED DODGE CORPORATE AND SERVICE APPOINTMENT WAS MADE AFTER 2 WEEKS AND DODGE HAVING AN INTERNAL INVESTIGATION OF VEHICLE WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE 2016 DODGE CHARGER RALLY EDITION IS UNSAFE AND WAS PLACED FOR BUYBACK.WE ONLY HAD POSSESSION FOR 14 DAYS. THE DEALERSHIP THO IS REFUSING TO DO THE BUYBACK EVEN THOUGH THY HAVE 100% POSSESSION AND CONTROL.
