BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Macan Electric vehicles. The rearview camera may show a blurry image or fail to display. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk: A rearview camera that does not display an image decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the control unit software, inspect, and replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 23, 2025. Owners may contact Porsche …
