The ignition coil and spark plugs were replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that four months later, after the vehicle sat for a while, while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was smoke coming from the engine. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where it was determined that there was an oil leak coming from the turbocharger return line and a fractured tube inside the engine. The oil connector and line were replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred two days later. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,641.

My check engine light keeps staying on I go and have it scanned and they tell me it's sensors so each time I change my sensors the check engine light comes back on again, not sure how many sensor is that I have to keep changing in order for my check engine light to go off and I'm not sure if there's a problem with the diagnose of the engine light so I wanted to know if other people are having the same problem as me I can't keep paying to change all these sensors and each time I have it scan it shows up some more so I'm thinking it must be misdiagnosing something that's why I'm checking if there was any other complaints or recalls on this thank you very much

When driving, speedometer/RPM dial both go to 0. The “Service Stabilitrak” message comes on followed by the “Service Power Steering, Drive With Care” message. The check engine light will also sometimes appear. The transmission is also affected (jerking when changing gears, inability to accelerate properly, revving). Power steering goes in and out. Car doesn’t feel safe to drive while it’s happening. No triggers or commonalities known. Car goes back to normal when left off and turned back on. Code U0073 "Control Module Communication Bus 'A' Off” appeared with at home OBD2 scanner.

Engine failed after turbo recall replacement- was told I would now need to replace the engine at $10,000. It will no longer run. Drove onto the lot could not drive it away after replacement of turbo which was replaced under recall.

It’s either my ball joints or the suspension or the arms. But they have a recall of the same exact issues I’m having but my car isnt part of the recalled list. But I am having the same issues and I’m at 109k miles. And i wasn’t in an accident. It actually started happening after I had my car in the shop to replace my turbo. Since ive gotten it back it sounds and drives horribly and from what I’m hearing its my ball joints or suspension or arms to that.

Loss of heat due to radiator leak. I found A192219310 out on the NHTSA site for Chevy TRAX used as Maven vehicles, but nothing about radiator issues on my GM account in the warranty section. .My car is a 2017 with 49251 miles. Light driving. The dealer was not aware of any issues with radiators. If I had known of the issues I would have had a pressure test sooner.

For the air conditioning I've had the blower I've had to replace the pigtail and resistor but now it's going into limp mode and saying service stabilitrak and I was on a paved road doing 20 mph at a stop light. I don't know what the hell this is going to cost me

Coolant is leaking and causing engine to overheat.

Where to begin. I bought the vehicle brand new with 29 miles on it in April of 2017, January of 2019 I started having issues. My check engine light kept coming on and it affected my gas mileage and speed. I had stopped at a chevy dealership in Forest Lake Minnesota and had them scan the vehicle to see what was going on and made an appointment to bring it back in for a full diagnostics. I get there and they asked me if I had another vehicle with me because it would take about a week of it being there. First off, I hadn't agreed to anything yet, I still did not even know what was wrong with it yet. They ended up doing what they said was a full diagnostic on the vehicle (which cost me almost $200) came back to me and started off by telling me that I bought a "warm weather" vehicle and it in fact was my turbo that was going out. They stated that what was happening was it would freeze and what needed to be done was some sort of heating element needed to be installed, and this was going to cost me $2500 plus labor. I was out of warranty but still had my drivetrain warranty ( at this time I had forgotten I had purchased the extended warranty) I was told it wouldn't cover it. I was irate and left, was contacted a few days later by my normal dealership to replace a valve (special service) had that done, found out that the real issue was an oil and air leak. Now to fast forward to 2021- I fixed the oil and air leak 3 more times before replacing the intake cover from plastic to aluminum. Engine is still leaking oil like crazy though. That is only one piece of my issues, I keep getting a code (since 2021) P0420 which reads that it's my catalysts- since I was out of warranty I needed to wait until I could afford to do this, plus we needed to figure out which or both.. then I received the letter stating that there are issues with the turbo. Of course, I am out of warranty, now over 120k and the POS is costing me a fortune! If I had more space I could go on with my issues.

Around early Feb the engine started having issues. The vehicle would jerk and stall while driving and stopped in the middle of a busy street at a red light. And another time when going around a high traffic uphill turn. Around February 14 the car stopped on me and I had to have it towed to my mechanic and rent a vehicle so that everyone in the household could get to work and not lose our jobs. My mechanic confirmed that the turbo engine was failing just like it did in April of 2022. That time it was still covered under the manufacturer's warranty. In March I received a letter from GMC announcing issues with their Turbo Gas engine, stating all the issues I had experienced both times. I was directed to a GMC dealer near me, but they refused to fix the issue and instead told me they can "break my car down for $560 and then when they find the issue they would quote me a price for repairs." They refused to only order the turbo engine and repair it for free like the GMC letter stated. I have not been able to get the issue addressed.

Oil burning off for no reason and the coming system not worming properly

Sitting at a stoplight on a slight hill, With my foot on the break, my car started rolling backwards. When it started rolling, I pressed harder on the break and it kept rolling. I had to slam and put the car in park for it to stop. After I got it stopped, I put it back in drive and then it was okay. There had to be something wrong with my break it to do that. I have to drive long distance and I’m afraid I’m gonna have problems again. Just thank God there was not a car behind me or I would’ve been in an accident and my fault. I have never had an accident. That was my fault.

I am an [XXX] living on a remote ranch in northern Montana. Owning a 2017 Chevy Trax that has be in the repair shop 6 times since October 2023 to fix the heater fan blower motor that keeps burning up, leaving me without heat or defrost. Driving home on the evening of [XXX] the fan motor burned up again (6th time since Oct. 23) and left me with out heat or defrost. At night, about 10 miles away from home, I tried to drive home. With no heat or defrost my windows started immediately fogging up . I began to try to wipe the windshield with my hand to be able to see to drive. Frost appeared on the inside of the windshield because of being cold outside. I got to my driveway and went to turn in and missed the approach because I could not see. I ended up going down a steep ditch. When I braked my vehicle a stainless steel thermos dislodged from the center console and hit my right knee, injuring me. Chevy Trax and Sonic vehicles from 2014 to 2018 have a defective pigtail from the factory, that causes the heater blower motor to burn up. No recall and as of today Chevy has not manufactured a non defective pig tail. I feel this is a really dangerous situation for people in winter climates. Never knowing when the blower motor will stop working causing impaired visibility due to the car windows fogging up. Spending over $1,800 on repairs, that can never be fixed and as my only form of transportation, I am left with out a safe vehicle to drive. On the Chevy Trax forum you will see pages of people that have the same problem . The local Chevy dealer garage will not make the damage right & are very reluctant to honor the 2 recalls I have had on this car. Arguing with me that there was rodent damage that caused the fan to burn up. Their work order says no damage to the wiring, or no short. Also blaming Landreth automotive. The fan motor burns up with in days of repair even after the last Chevy garage repaired my car themselves, after blaming it on others. Check engine light comes on. The car jerks or lunges when speeding up or slowing down. As if in the wrong geer. 104,000 miles

On February 21, 2024 my driver side front tire exploded, I was in walgreens packing lot. I had my vehicle towed to the dealer and asked what happened was just told I needed a tire. On February 26th, I noticed the back passenger tire had a bulge, again I took to the dealership and they told me I needed a tire, I suggested that the firestone tires may be defective. On Tuesday February 27th I was sitting in my vehicle on my lunch break and heard a pop, I get out of my car and the tire exploded along with the hub cab. This was the back driver side tire. I again took to the dealership and was asked was I going over potholes. Twice when parked the tires just exploded. Very frustrated considering I put 4 new tires on my vehicle in October and in less than one week, I've had to replace 3 tires to the tune of $955.55

This car consumes oil no matter what you replace. Replaced the pcv valve. Oil cooler and various other parts and still consumes one quart of oil per 100 miles. Now the engine needs replacing due to this issue. Gm was sued for oil consumption on other Chevy cars. This should be included. I have also have every receipt. Oil change and expense from the dealer if needed

turbo charger on all small engine for chevy have been giving people a lot of headaches during the winter months. Chevy is aware thar their turbo chargers are affected by cold weather but still put the turbo into new vehicles. I have fixed my turbocharger three times on my 2017 Trax with no success.

My Check engine light came on at about 46,000 miles. The mechanic showed me that the oil was burned at looked like chips of metal. He said that the Turbo Charger was cracked also. He replaced everything and flushed the system clean. He video taped the whole repair process. Now, 8,000 miles later, the Check Engine light is back on and the very same problem has repeated itself. I looked on the internet and found HUNDREDS of Blogs with THOUSANDS of Consumers with the same problem. All of them state that the Turbo Charger cracks, leaks into the coolant, over-heats the engine and burns up the oil. They all state that the repair is about $3,000.00. Some are on their 3rd and 4th go-around with this problem. They state that Chevrolet does NOT respond. I, personally, contacted the dealership that sold me my care and reported the problem. I was told that mine was an isolated incident and then they tried to sell me another car. Here is ONLY ONE BLOG with all the consumers' complaints about this ONE MATTER: [XXX] I paid around $35,000.00 for this car at the time of purchase. I paid it off early. You can tell by the low mileage that I do not drive my automobile hard. I keep it well maintained. At 50,000 miles, it cannot be driven until I invest another $3,000.00 in repairs....that I just paid 8,000 miles ago for the the same repeating problem. I need Chevrolet to do one of three things: 1) Resolve the ROOT problem that keeps causing this ongoing problem and fix my car PERMANENTLY of this problem at NO CHARGE; 2) Give me a different model car that has 50,000 miles as an exchange; 3) Refund 2/3 of my money so that I can get a different vehicle. They have left me with no automobile to drive. They act like I am too stupid to understand that the problem lies with them (probably because I am female). Cable that controls thermostat to temp knob in car broke and gears that run system stripped.

Engine started to have problems while driving. After parking, would not restart. Mechanic just reported that timing chain broke and caused other damage in engine. Needs new engine. Only has less than 85,000 miles on it.

The Blower Motor Resistor and Harness are faulty causing smoking and short circuit instead of blowing a fuse. Im afraid this could cause the car to catch on fire. I opened the area where the resistor is located and the equipment reads "MADE IN JAPAN". This makes me concerned that there may be other areas of the electrical system that have not been tested properly for safety.

I purchased this 2017 Chevrolet Trax in Dec 2020 with 36748 miles on it. In I believe 2022 I had to have the front driver side tire rode replaced as it was broken at just a little over 50,000 miles on it. Now at 73,027 miles I had to have both sway bars links replaced as they both were broken as well. Upon further inspection from dealership the also found the left front suspension strut needs replacing. I heard noises from front end when turning with popping and creaking as turning. Now after replacing sway bars I have more popping and creaking coming from front end but not just when turning now it's most of the time now and the steering is pulling at different times. It does not feel safe to drive this vehicle anymore. No light came on dash to warn of any issues at all. I have paid for most repairs on the vehicle, but these Costs are adding up more and more.

While driving git a warning light and after a few days there was a loud noise coming from the motor , took it to the dealer told me the motor is broken , car only has 71000 miles on it .

Ac has been repair many times but still blowing out and not working

Resistor and resistor harness for HVAC continuously fail. About to be on fourth repair as they continue to short out and begin to melt, almost catching fire. Confirmed by dealer previously that it had shorted it out and melted the wiring harness to the resistor. Only symptom prior to failure is smelling hot and then it abruptly shorts out and shuts off and produces small bit of smoke.

Sun roof unexpectedly shattered

Are the super boost on my vehicle is not working and I have took in it to the shop and got a Netflix and they say the boost is brand new, but the valves were exchanged out and still having check engine light stating it’s the boost in the vehicle when going above 60 it loses power and is not accelerate higher

12/30/2022 - Check engine light came on. Vehicle struggled to accelerate. No openings available at the mechanics due to holiday. This vehicle is being used for business and travels frequently. 01/03/2023 - Mechanic diagnosed during my scheduled oil change. Check engine light - PO299 popped up (lack of power to turbo charge) check all vacuum lines and clamps all good. If check engine light comes on recommend taking to dealer. 01/05/2023 - Check engine light and StabiliTrax light came on, vehicle wobbled/shook a lot while driving at an intersection. I attempted to drive safely in traffic as the car shook. Returned to the mechanic and it was diagnosed. Valve cover removed and replaced. 01/08/2023 - Check engine light came on while I was getting ready for a long trip. I pulled my car on the side of the road and called for a ride. At the end of the day, I picked up my car and safely drove home on Sunday evening. 01/09/2023 - Contacted Chevrolet dealer (175 Wiwoole St, Hilo, HI 96720) direct. The next diagnostic testing available is two months out: 03/06/2023.

2017 Chevrolet Trax mileage 35,703 November 20, 2022 ( second incident)while driving 50 mph on a highway, I lost power steering, acceleration, and dashboard instruments( speedometer & tach) failed. Dashboard message advised of loss of power steering. I was able to drive about one mile before I could safely pull to the side of the road and after stopping the issue resolved itself but check engine light came on but turned off within a 24 hour period. Later found out my son had experienced the same issue with my car one month earlier. December 6 th- Took it to dealer who could not replicate the problem and was unable to provide explanation or solution. This was a frightening safety issue- luckily there was not a lot of traffic when the problem occurred. I am very concerned about driving this car and having this happen again.

When attempting to make a right turn, the steering wheel will only go so far (it feels stuck) unless pulled hard to the right. After making the right turn, the steering wheel and does not automatically go back as it ahould. This issue has only started within the last week or so.

My car is continuously stuttering while driving on the highway and on neighborhood roads/when at the light. I have attempted to get help and am told that it is the turbocharge and that the turbocharge consistently goes out on the vehicle that I own (2017 chevy trax). I do not understand why I can't get it fixed if they are saying they know what it is and that it is something that is happening so often that they know about it. I live in a city and people are always driving too close and too fast. I do not want to die in this car because my turbocharge goes out while I'm on the highway and I can't maneuver fast enough. This has been going on for several months now and no one is able or willing to help.

Traveling about 25 mph I took my foot off the accelerator and tried to slow down but the gas pedal was stuck and the brakes were very hard to stop I actually had to throw it in neutral to make it come to a stop our thoughts were gas pedal was still at accelerating when I wanted to stop.

I bought this car from carvana in late July 2020not knowing that the car had an electrical problem. The check engine light came on in September 2020. I bought the car in and i was told a ground needed to be replaced. I got the car fixed and the check engine light ended up turning off. I ended up getting into a car accident in October 2020 because the car was still giving trouble. After getting the car fixed from the accident the check engine light has not come off no matter what repairs are done on the car.the car has been in the shop ever since and carvana won’t take the car back. I have all the documentation (invoices and police reports and insurance claims) since getting the car.

This is the second vehicle which has the same problem, NO HEAT, we check the anti-freeze and it is just fine. All the internal heat controls are working just fine. The vehicle does not overheat and works just fine.

Keep getting service stabilitrak

Multiple warning lights came on. Check engine, stabilatrak among others. Car got hard to steer and lost power. Very dangerous while driving on a highway. Pulled into a local repair shop because vehicle was unsafe to drive. They ran a diagnostic test and couldn't find anything. They said take it to a dealer. Barely Made it to the dealer. Left car. They said it was fixed. Happened again within a week. Took it back. They had the car for about 4 weeks. They fixed it. Ran fine until Sunday June 27 and did the same thing. Got it home. Had to drive very slow. It is now at the dealer again. This seems to be a problem with this vehicle as seen by researching the symptoms. The fact that it is so dangerous should make this a recall,

Tires, suspension, water pump, water pump belt, thermostat alignment very often change tires because of alignment

THE CAR WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN WITHOUT THE KEY IN CLOSE PROXIMITY. ONE INCIDENT HAPPEND AND THE KEY WAS LEFT IN A FRIENDS CAR. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR TO MY NEXT LOCATION AND ONLY NOTICED WHEN I WENT TO START THE CAR UP AGAIN. THE SECOND INCIDENT HAPPEND AFTER SOMEONE ELSE USED MY CAR. I FOUND THE KEY AT HOME AND HAD TO TAKE THE KEY TO THE CAR TO BE RETRIEVED.

I DROVE MY TRAX YESTERDAY WITH NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER, THIS MORNING I GET INTO MY VEHICLE AT HOME, START THE CAR AND WITHIN TWO MINUTES, ITS FULL OF SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD, THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND THE FRONT OF THE TRAX STARTS MAKING HORRIBLE NOISES AND SHAKING. I TURN THE CAR OFF AND LET IT SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES, TRY TO START IT UP AGAIN AND IT WILL NOT TURN OVER. THERE ARE NO FLUIDS ON THE GROUND, NO WIRING THAT I COULD SEE UNDONE, NOT SURE ON WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I DO HAVE IT BEING TOWED TO A CERTIFIED DEALERSHIP TO GET IT LOOKED AT AND PRAYING FIXED.

TRIED TO RESTART IT WITH NO LUCK. HAD IT TOWED TO ENGALL' S AUTO SHOP IN NEW JERSEY.AS I WAS AN HOUR AWAY FROM HOME. RENTED A CAR SO I COULD GET HOME. THE NEXT DAY ENGELS CALL SAID THE ECM IS DEAD. HAD THE TRAX TOWED TO MOTION CHEVY DELEARSHIP. THEY CONFIRMED THAT THE ECM NEEDED REPLACED. . ORDERED THE ECM 0N THE 5TH AND REPLACED ON THE7TH. THE SERVVICE GUY CALLS ME AND TELLS ME THAT THE MODULE IN THE STEERING COLUMN IS BAD AND HAVE TO CHANGE THE WHOLE COLUMN.. THE SERVICE THEN SAID THAT THE ECM WAS COVERED BY EXTENDED WARRANTY, BUT THE COLUMN WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID OUT OF POCKET..$1,235.00. WHEN I CALLED CHEVY CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY SAID THAT THEY PAY $88.00 OF THE BILL...WITH ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS HOW IS THIS NOT A RECALL ISSUE????????

I OWN A 2017 CHEVY TRAX. MY AWD WARNING LIGHT CAME ON SAYING THE AWD SYSTEM WAS SHUT OFF. IT COST ME $430.00 TO REPLACE THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL BECAUSE IT WAS IN SUCH BAD SHAPE. THAT IS RIDICULOUS TO HAVE THAT HAPPEN IN ONLY 3 YEARS.

DURING THE CRASH THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, AND THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY FROM THE SCENE. NOT INJURIES WERE REPORTED. NO POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,585.

MY AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR HAD A DEFECTIVE SEAL AND THE COMPRESSOR WAS UN REPAIRABLE.THE VEHICLE HAD ONLY HAD LESS THAN 22,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER.I DIDN'T HAVE WARRANTY COVERAGE FOR THIS.THE SEAL SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED SO EARLY.MY CAR WAS UP ON A LIFT IN AUTO REPAIR SHOP WHEN THIS WAS DISCOVERED.

I PURCHASED A NEW 2017 TRAX ON JULY 15, 2017. SINCE I GOT THE CAR I HEARD A SQUEAK FROM THE REAR BRAKES. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT IT IS A NEW CAR AND THE SQUEAL WILL GO AWAY. IT DID NOT GO AWAY. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER 5 TIMES AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME THE REAR BRAKES ARE OK. I WANT THE DEALER TO INSPECT THE REAR BREAKS AND FIX IT. ALSO I WANT THE LEFT- AND RIGHT-FRONT LOWER-CONTROL ARMS, INSPECT AND REPLACING THEM AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT A FATAL ACCIDENT. MY CAR ONLY HAS 29, 600 MILES. SINCE I BOUGHT IT, I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. ALL RECORDS FOR MY CAR ARE IN THE DEALER.

PURCHASED A NEW 2017 TRAX. AT THE 3 YEAR MARK OR NEAR, I HEARD A SQUEAL FROM TIME TO TIME WHILE DRIVING FORWARD. AT NO TIME DID THE BRAKE SQUEAL WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKE. AT 9500 MILES ( 3YEARS)WHEN THE SQUEAK HAPPENED , NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ONSTAR INDICATED THERE WAS A BRAKE ISSUE. MONTHLY UPDATES AS TO CAR MAINTENANCE ALSO INDICATED NO ISSUES. UPON TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE, I WAS TOLD THAT MUD AND DIRT GOT INTO THE BRAKES AND THAT THE CAR NEEDED NEW BRAKES, PADS, CALIPER SLIDES, ROTORS. KNOWING THE LOW MILEAGE ON THE VEHICLE AND KNOWING ALL CARS THE NORM IS USUALLY AROUND 20,000 MILES THE BRAKES ARE READY TO BE SERVICED. BUT NOT AT 9,500 MILES. ALSO HAD A PRIOR ISSUE WHERE BRAKE FLUID LEAKED OUT OF THE VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING AT 2500 MILEAGE. I HAD TO HAVE THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOUR REPLACED AS IT WAS BROKEN . AT 2500 MILEAGE THE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKED INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED. CANT HELP BUT WONDER IF THAT RELATED TO LATER ISSUE WITH THE BRAKES REPLACED AT 9500 MILES. I WAS TOLD AT THE DEALER THAT MUD AND DIRT GOT INTO THE BRAKES AND THAT THE BRAKES WERE 'HOT" WHATEVER THAT MEANS. .HAD I KNOWN THAT IT WAS A BRAKE ISSUE BY THE INDICATOR LIGHTS AND UPDATES ON ONSTAR I WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED IT A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND TAKEN THE CAR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BUT I WAITED AS NO WARNING LIGHTS AND NO INDICATION FROM DRIVING THAT THE BRAKES WERE AN ISSUE. FOR SOME REASON I GOT A CREDIT FOR 167.00 ON MY BILL FOR WHAT I DO NOT KNOW AS IT SHOWED AS INSURANCE? I PAID A TOTAL OF 483.00 . WHILE DRIVING THE SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT GOES ON, THE ENGINE WILL GO FROM WHATEVER SPEED I AM GOING THEN LOSE ACCELERATION COMPLETELY AND AUTOMATICALLY JUMP BACK UP TO THE SPEED I WAS GOING MAKING THE CAR JOLT AND THE POWER STEERING FREEZES UP FOR NO REASON. THE FIRST MAJOR REPAIR I HAD WITH MY VEHICLE HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER I SERVICED IT FOR IT'S REGULAR OIL CHANGE AT THE END OF 2018. I NOTICE MY AC WAS GOING IN AND OUT AND I CHECKED MY COOLANT, THE RESERVOIR WAS EMPTY. WHEN I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THEY DISCOVERED A LEAK UNDER NEATH THE TURBO. IN 2019 A VALVE WAS REPLACED THAT WAS STICKING AS "COURTESY" AT ONE OF MY OIL CHANGES. THIS YEAR MY VEHICLE STALLED OUT ON ME AT THE GAS STATION. I TURNED OFF MY VEHICLE TO PUMP GAS AND IT WOULDN'T TURN BACK OVER. WHEN I FINALLY GOT IT TO START AGAIN IT WAS JERKING VERY HARD EVEN WHILE IDLING. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET MY VEHICLE RUNNING AGAIN. I GOT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE PURGE VALVE AND I PAID FOR AN INDUCTION SERVICE SINCE MY VEHICLE IS SLOWLY APPROACHING 50K. AFTER A COUPLE DAYS OF HAVING MY VEHICLE BACK I NOTICED MY VEHICLE IS STILL SHIFTING VERY HARD AND IS ESPECIALLY NOTICABLE IN 30-50MPH RANGE, I DROP MY VEHICLE BACK OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP 05/02/2020. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT ON IT BUT, HEY'RE GETTING A READING THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE STABILITY.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE GOING 75 MPH MY DOORS KEEP LOCKING AND UNLOCKING AS WELL AS THE THEFT ALARM GOING OFF. THE THEFT ALARM IS GOING OFF EVERY 5 MINUTES. WE HAVE TRIED UNHOOKING THE BATTERY TO RESET BUT THIS DID NOT WORK.

ROUGHLY AT 40,000 MILES DRIVER SIDE SEAT BEGAN TO RADDLE BADLY. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE CAR THE WHOLE SEAT LIFTED UP. I LOOKED UNDER THE SEAT AND NOTICED A LIFT MECHANISM THAT RAISED THE SEAT OR LOWERED IT WAS BROKEN OFF AND NOW IT'S JUST FLOPPING AWAY. IF I BRAKE TO HARD THE WHOLE SEAT PUSHES ME FORWARD AND WEDGES ME IN BETWEEN IT AND THE SEAT BELT.

I'VE RECEIVED TWO NOTICES FROM GM, ONCE THAT HAS AN ACTUAL RECALL. BOTH NOTICES WERE RECEIVED AFTER MY 2017 TRAX HAD BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR CHECK-UPS/REPAIRS BECAUSE OF PRESENTING SYMPTOMS OF BOTH ISSUES OF THE NOTICES/RECALL. THE FIRST BEING AN EVAPORAIVE EMISSIONS PURGE VALVE THAT MAY NOT FULLY CLOSE, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO RUN COLD, HESITATE OR STALL AT IDLE SPEEDS. I EXPERIENCED IDLING AND JERKING WHEN MY CAR WAS IN LOWER GEARS, JERKING SO BADLY, WITH RUNNING IN HIGH RPMS. I DID NOT KNOW IF I WOULD MAKE IT HOME AND HAD TO DRIVE WITH MY HAZARDS ON. THIS WAS EXPERIENCED ON SEPT. 2, 2019 (LABOR DAY) AND I HAD MY CAR TOWED FROM MY PARKING GARAGE TO THE DEALERSHIP ON SEPT. 4TH, 2019. THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM OR ADDRESS IT AND WERE NOT AWARE OF THE NOTICE GM HAD SENT OUT. THEY DID FIND A TEAR IN SOME ARM ON THE VEHICLE, CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE BALL BEARING WHICH WAS REPLACED BUT UNRELATED TO WHY IT WAS THERE. LATE OCTOBER, I EXPERIENCED OTHER ISSUES WITH CLICKING ON MY BREAKING SYSTEM, WITH MY STABILITRACK AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS TURNING ON, BUT THEN OFF WHEN I WENT IN REVERSE. AT THIS TIME, I KNEW ABOUT THE RECALL (# A192261870) AND BROUGHT MY CAR BACK IN ON NOV. 1, 2019. AGAIN THEY COULDN'T "REPLICATE" THE ISSUE, BUT INSPECTED THE CAR WITH REGARDS TO THE RECALL AND RETURNED IT WITH NO IMMEDIATE RESOLUTION. THEY ORDERED A SPEED-CONTROL PART AND ALL THE RECALL PARTS. IT'S NOW DECEMBER 4 AND THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT CONTROL ARMS & THE BOLTS THAT GO WITH THEM (PAGE CHEVROLET SERVICE DEPT; ALEXANDRIA, VA 22312; 703-349-4011. MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO HAVE BRAKING/IDLING/SPUDERING ISSUES ON OCCASION, IT IS NOT CONSTANT. I HAVE HAD TO CALL REGULARLY TO GET UPDATES, AND HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CALL CHEVROLET'S CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER TO OPEN AN INQUIRY BUT AM GETTING THE RUN AROUND OF ROVER A MONTH. I DO NOT CONSIDER THIS TIMELY.

I HAVE A 2017 CHEVY TRAX WITH A 1.4L TURBO. I HAVE AROUND 82,000 MILES ON IT. LAST WEEK IT STARTED RUNNING ROUGH SO I CHECKED THE OIL AND THERE WAS NONE. JUST BECAUSE ALL SERVICE WASN'T DONE THERE. AND NOW I HAVE A CAR WITH A BAD MOTOR AT 82K MILES. TO ME THAT SEEMS LIKE A A DEFECTIVE RING FROM WHEN THE MOTOR WAS BUILT. THEY SAY NO OF COURSE. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET, NORMAL SPEED AND THE CAR WAS STALLING ( LIKE A PUTT PUTT). I TOOK THE CAR IN TO CHEVY, THEY HAD IT FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS AND STATED THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. I PICKED THE CAR UP AND ABOUT 15 MILES OUT, I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND IT CUT OFF. I THEN PUT THE CAR IN PARK, IT CUT OFF, I DID THAT ABOUT 5 TIMES. I CALLED TO HAVE THEM TOW IT. THE DEALERSHIP STATED IT CUT OFF ON THEM THE NEXT DAY BUT AFTER 65 DAYS AND LESS THAN 200 MILES LATER THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. THEY RETURNED THE CAR TO ME AND A WEEK LATER 10/15/2019 ITS BACK TO THE PUTT PUTT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JOHN MILES CHEVROLET BUICK GMC (950 DOGWOOD DR SE, CONYERS, GA 30012, (678) 561-3754) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE WAS OVERHEATING AND THE ENGINE COOLANT VALVE EXTENSION, OXYGEN SENSOR, AND PASSENGER SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,999.

DO TO, LOWER CONTROL ARM WELD BEING DEFECTIVE, NOTICED THAT UNEVEN WEAR OF BOTH FRIEND TIRES NOTICED. THE CONTROL ARM WAS REPLACED ON 9/19/2019. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WEAR OF THE TIRES. NEED NEW TIRES. I MENTIONED THE WEAR TO THE ADVISER AND I WAS TOLD TO CONTACT THE COMPANY.

ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, I WENT TO MY CHEVROLET STORE AND TOLD THEM ABOUT HOW MY GAS GAUGE WAS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. I WOULD FILL MY TRAX UP, AND INSTEAD OF IT MOVING TO FULL, THE GAUGE STAYED AT 1/2 TANK. I NEVER KNEW WHAT THE CORRECT LEVEL OF GAS WAS IN MY VEHICLE. I EVEN TOOK PICTURES OF THE LEVELS BEFORE AND AFTER THE FILL UP, BUT THEY LAUGHED IT OFF, 3 TIMES AND SAID THERE WERE NOT ANY CODES COMING UP, SO IT WAS OKAY. THE 4TH TIME I WENT, ANOTHER COMPANY BOUGHT OUT THE PRIOR OWNER AND SAID HE HAD TO REPLACE THE MODULE. IT HAD WORKED FOR A FEW MONTHS BUT IT IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING. A 2017-2019 CHEVROLET TRAX RECALL WAS ISSUED THAT WILL REPAIR PROBLEMS WITH JOINTS IN THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY WELDED, CAUSING THE CONTROL ARMS TO SEPARATE FROM THE SUVS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS. THE RECALL WAS ISSUED IN APRIL SO I HAVE NOW BEEN WITHOUT A VEHICLE FOR OVER FOUR MONTHS. NEITHER A CHEVROLET DEALER NOR THE CHEVROLET HEADQUARTERS WILL DO ANYTHING TO PROVIDE A RENTAL CAR UNTIL THEY CAN DETERMINE WHEN THEY CAN REPAIR THE VEHICLE. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

I STARTED THE CAR ON TUESDAY 6-18 TO GO TO WORK AND AS SOON AS I STARTED IT, THERE WAS A MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD SAYING TO SERVICE POWER STEERING AND THE ERROR LIGHT WAS ON. I WENT AHEAD AND DROVE TO WORK (ONLY 1 MILE AWAY) AND IT TOOK ALL THAT I HAD TO STEER IT. FIRST CHANCE THAT I GOT, I CALLED THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP AND HAD IT TOWED THERE, AT CHEVY'S EXPENSE BECAUSE THE CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. WHEN THEY FINALLY HAD TIME TO LOOK AT IT, THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS AN INTERNAL ERROR IN THE POWER STEERING MODULE, THEY HAVE TO REPLACE IT, ACCORDING TO LAW OR THEIR GUIDELINES. I'VE CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE PART ANYWHERE, NO DEALERSHIPS OR ANYPLACE ELSE. HERE IT IS OVER A WEEK LATER AND THEY STILL CAN'T FIND ANYTHING. THEY DID GIVE ME A LOANER, BUT THIS IS RIDICULOUS. THEY CAN'T EVEN TELL ME HOW LONG IT MAY BE.

I WAS SITTING IN THE VEHICLE PARKED WAITING FOR THE RAIN TO PASS. FRONT WINDOW WAS CRACKED. WHEN I HEARD A LOUD BANG. TURNED AROUND THE BACK WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE HAD SHATTERED. AS I ACCELERATED, MY ENGINE REVVED, BUT DID NOT SHIFT GEARS (AS I WAS MERGING WITH TRAFFIC WHO WERE TRAVELING AT SPEEDS OF 60 MPH AND HIGHER), LURCHED AND DROPPED DOWN TO 20 MPH (SOMEHOW DIDN'T GET REAR-ENDED). IN A 6 MONTH SPAN, THIS HAS HAPPENED 3X. THE 3RD TIME WAS ON A STRETCH OF ROAD WHERE I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 45 MPH COMING UP ON A CAR IN THE LEFT-HAND LANE (ON A 2 LANE STREET) MAKING A LEFT-HAND TURN. NEEDED TO SWITCH LANES TO GO AROUND. INCREASED SPEED, CAR HESITATED, REVVED, LURCHED, AND NEVER REALLY SWITCHED GEARS. SOMEHOW MADE IT WITHOUT GETTING REAR-ENDED. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP SAID COMPUTER IN CAR DIDN'T REGISTER ANY OF THOSE INCIDENTS, SO IN ESSENCE THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. I FEEL LIKE I'M DRIVING A TICKING TIME BOMB. WAITING FOR IT TO JUST STOP OR DECELERATE WHILE ENTERING THE HIGHWAY AND GET ME KILLED. HOPING THAT MY CHILDREN AREN'T IN THE CAR SHOULD THAT EVER HAPPEN.

SERVICE STABILI TRAK WARNING AND ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WITH NO PRIOR WARNING. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESET, HAVE TO TAKE IT IN FOR SERVICE. THE ROADS AND CONDITIONS WERE COMPLETELY FAIR. NO IMPROPER USE OF VEHICLE TO CAUSE THESE ERROR LIGHTS. VEHICLE ENGINE SOUNDS HORRIBLE AND HANDLES TERRIBLY

I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TWICE WITH MY VEHICLE AND I NOTIFIED THE DEALER OF THIS AND NOTHING WAS DONE. TWICE NOW I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY GOING AT A SPEED NO MORE THAN 60 BEGAN TO ACCELERATE AND HAD THE RPM SHOOT UP TO 8 AND THE MPH SHOOT DOWN TO ALMOST ZERO. I DO A SLIGHT ACCELERATION AND THE CAR COMES ALMOST TO A COMPLETE STOP LIKE THE ENGINE CUT OUT. THE FIRST TIME I DIDN'T REALLY WORRY ABOUT IT BUT IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW AND COULD CAUSE A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE CAR ALSO BEGINS TO SHAKE AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES OF BEING ON THIS HAPPENS WHEN I'M DRIVING AND WHILE SITTING IN THE CAR WHILE IT'S IN PARK.

FIRST PROBLEM WITH MY TRAX 2017 WAS WHEN MY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KID PULLED THE SEAT BELT TO SNAP HER BOOSTER SEAT AND IT NEVER ROLLED BACK. STAYS STRETCHED AND DOESN'T RETRACT. I THOUGHT IT WAS NOT A BIG DEAL AND MOVED HER ON THE OTHER SIDE. YESTERDAY I GOT THE ENGINE LIGHT ON AND MY CAR JUST SLOWED DOWN FOR NO REASON. I WAS ALREADY SCARED AND WONDERING IF IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE WITH THE KIDS ON THE BACK BUT WAS ON THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH NO PLACE TO PULL OVER SO I KEPT GOING BUT MY CAR WOULD NO GO OVER 30MPH. 5 MINUTES LATER IT GOT BETTER.I AM TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TOMORROW BUT ITS OVER AN HOUR AWAY AND DON'T EVEN KNOW IF I SHOULD DRIVE OR HAVE IT TOWED.

THE FEATURE ON THE CAR THAT NOTIFIES YOU THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR IS FAILING MAY NOT BE WORKING. CURRENTLY MY TIRE PRESSURE ON MY DASHBOARD IS REPORTING THAT THE PSI ON MY RIGHT REAR TIRE IS 19 PSI. HOWEVER WHEN I PUT AN AIR GAGE TO THE TIRE ITS READING 34 OR 35 PSI. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A TIRE SHOP SO THAT THEY CAN PUT MORE AIR AND THEY ALSO STATE THE PRESSURE IS FINE.

RPM, AND MPH DIGITAL DIAL/ NUMBER JUMPED TO 0 AND BACK UP TO A RANDOM SPEED AND THEN BACK DOWN TO 0. ACCELERATOR PEDAL DID NOT HAVE ANY BEARING ON SPEED CONTROL. UNCONTROLLED STALLING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN OFF ACTIVE ROADWAY AT NEXT AVAILABLE EXIT AND PARKED. VEHICLE MAINTAINED ERROR CODES. DEALER CONTACTED FOR TOW. AFTER WAITING FOR TOW AND ENGINE OFF, ALL ERROR CODES CLEARED. DRIVEN TO DEALER AND CURRENTLY IN SERVICE. VEHICLE FAIRLY NEW AND REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY. PROBLEM UNCERTAIN BUT TECHNICIAN POINTED TO A GROUNDING PROBLEM. HAS HAPPENED IN THE WARM AND COLD WEATHER AND AFTER A LONG DRIVE AND A SHORT DRIVE. NOT SURE WHY THERE ARE NO OTHER REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING. IT HAS HAPPENED WHEN DRIVING AT 45 MILES AND THIS LAST TIME WHEN TRYING TO START IT TO LEAVE MY HOUSE. VERY SCARY TO HAVE YOUR CHILD DRIVING THIS TO AND FROM SCHOOL.

I HAD JUST PURCHASED MY CHEVY TRAX ON JULY 10, 2018. IT HAD 14,600 MILES ON IT. THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE, EXITED, AND NOTICED FLAMES UNDER THE ENGINE AND FRONT TIRES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED BY A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 930. *TT

THEY DESIGNED A PRESSURE VALVE UNDERNEATH THE REAR BUMPER FASCIA WITH A HOLE LARGE ENOUGH FOR RODENTS AND SMALL ANIMALS TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE CABIN OF THE CAR WITHOUT DESTROYING ANY PART OF THE CAR TO GAIN ACCESS. IT IS ESSENTIALLY AN OPEN DOOR FOR SQUIRRELS, MICE, RATS TO USE THEN NEST IN THE CAR UNBEKNOWNST TO THE OWNER. IT COMES WITH THE DANGER OF A RODENT POPPING OUT WHILE DRIVING OR SPREADING DIEASE THROUGHOUT THE CABIN OF THE CAR VIA THE AIR DUCTS. I FEEL THE CABIN OF THE CAR SHOULD BE A SEALED UNIT. THE ONLY WAY I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE DEEMED AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE IS IN THE CASE OF AN ANIMAL DESTROYING A PART IN ORDER TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE CABIN OF THE CAR. IN THIS INSTANCE THERE IS NO DAMAGE IN ORDER TO GAIN ACCESS THE CABIN AND IT IS THE SAME AS LEAVING A CAR DOOR OPEN 24/7 HOPING NOTHING BAD HAPPENS. I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO GENERAL MOTORS AND NO ONE SEEMS TO UNDERSTAND THE FRUSTRATION I AM HAVING.

COLD WEATHER CAUSED TURBO SYSTEM TO FREEZE AND THE VEHICLE GO INTO LIMP MODE. UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. PARTS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER FOR 2 MONTHS. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE USED WITH JUST UNDER 19,000 MILES ON IN DECEMBER 2017. ON DECEMBER 30TH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE WHILE ACCELERATING ON THE HIGHWAY (PREVIOUS HAD LET THE VEHICLE GO THROUGH 2 START UP CYCLES AND WENT ABOUT 5 MILES DOWN THE ROAD BEFORE I HAD AN ISSUE). THE WEATHER WAS AROUND -20 F. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND A SOLENOID WAS REPLACED FOR THE TURBO SYSTEM. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK OF HAVING THE VEHICLE, WHEN THE WEATHER WAS COLD BUT NOT AS COLD AS THE FIRST TIME THE ISSUE OCCURRED, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE. I WAS PROBABLY ABOUT 10 MILES DOWN THE ROAD AND HAD RAN THE VEHICLE THROUGH A REMOTE START CYCLE. I WAS ACCELERATING AFTER SLOWING DOWN FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR 2 MONTHS AS THE PART I NEEDED FOR TSB # 16-NA-405 (DATED 12/23/16) WAS ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER. THE WEATHER WARMED UP, SO THE DEALERSHIP LET ME HAVE THE VEHICLE BACK UNTIL THE PART CAME IN. SHORTLY AFTER THE PART I NEEDED CAME IN, SO THE TSB WAS COMPLETED. CHEVY HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE TURBO SYSTEM FREEZING FOR OVER A YEAR, YET THEY SELL VEHICLES WITH THIS ISSUE IN COLD WEATHER STATES. CHEVY DID NOT SEEM CONCERNED ABOUT THIS ISSUE, SO I AM HOPING TO WARN OTHERS AND GET THE WORD OUT. I SPOKE TO SOMEONE WHO ALSO HAS A TRAX AND HAD THE SAME ISSUE. THEY ACTUALLY HAD THEIR VEHICLE START SMOKING AFTER THE REPAIR, AND THE REPAIR HAD TO ME MADE OVER. CHEVY NEEDS TO MAKE SURE THIS IS FIXED IN ALL VEHICLES WITH THIS TURBO SYSTEM, SO SOMEONE DOES GET STRANDED OR IN AN ACCIDENT.

I SCRAPED MY PASSENGER SIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR AND IT COMPLETELY SHATTERED. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE PART REPLACED SINCE FEBRUARY 13, 2018. I HAD BEEN TOLD THAT IT NEEDED TO BE SPECIAL ORDERED BECAUSE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR MY VEHICLE ANYWHERE IN THE US. I WAS TOLD YESTERDAY THAT THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER WITH NO DATE OF AVAILABILITY. EVEN WITH THE SIDE MIRROR THE CAR HAS DANGEROUS "BLIND" SPOTS AND WITHOUT THE MIRROR IT IS VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I NOW FIND MYSELF LOCKED IN A LEASE ON A VEHICLE THAT CANNOT BE REPAIRED TO A SAFE DRIVING CONDITION.

IN COLD WEATHER DRIVING, 2017 CHEVY TRAX WILL THROW A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT 20 MINUTES AFTER STARTUP, WHICH SHUTS DOWN THE VEHICLES ABILITY TO MAINTAIN SPEED. THIS HAPPENS IN TOWN AND ON THE HIGHWAY. CODE SAYS TURBO FREEZING. THE VEHICLE WILL GO MAX 40MPH UPHILL ON THE HIGHWAY AND MAX 60MPH ON FLAT OR DOWNHILL HIGHWAY. HAVE TO PULL OVER BECAUSE CARS ARE COMING FROM BEHIND VERY FAST IN SNOWY CONDITIONS WHEN VEHICLE WILL NOT MAINTAIN SPEED. THE VEHICLE CANNOT ACCELERATE FROM A STOP EITHER. VERY SCARY. IN TOWN DRIVING IS ALMOST NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT GETTING RUN INTO BECAUSE YOU CANNOT GET OUT OF THE WAY. WE HAVE 10 OF THESE VEHICLES AND THEY ALL DO THE SAME. CHEVY DEALER SAYS THEY HAVE A FIX, BUT CANNOT GETS PARTS TO FIX. ITS BEEN 4 MONTHS OF THIS MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WITH NO HELP FROM CHEVY. I AM FED UP.

WHEN FIRST PURCHASED THIS CAR I HAD IT FOR A MONTH AND WHEN CONNECTED TO BLUETOOTH I COULDN'T HEAR THE OTHER PARTY AND OTHER PARTY WOULD HEAR LOUD NOISES I TOOK IT IN TO DIAGNOSE AND THEY SAID IT WAS FINE. I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE ON NOVEMBER 22, 2017. I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT ON DECEMBER 14, 2017 WHERE I HIT A DOG AND MY CAR CAUGHT FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE DIDN'T BELIEVE THAT I HIT A DOG AND IT CAUSED THIS DAMAGE. I CONTACTED GM TO SEE IF THEY WOULD INVESTIGATE BUT THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT INVESTIGATE UNLESS MY INSURANCE CONTACTED THEM AND THEY ALSO TOLD ME TO READ MY MANUAL ON SEATBELTS WHEN I LET THEM KNOW THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. I BELIEVE WHOLE HEARTEDLY THAT THIS CAR IS UNSAFE IF IT CAUGHT ON FIRE FROM HITTING A DOG AND THEY DOG WAS NOT LARGE AT ALL. PLEASE BE CAREFUL ID CONSIDERING THIS VEHICLE

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.

MY RADIO STOPPED WORKING AND WHEN I TOOK IT IN THEY SAID THE AMPLIFIER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT GOT WET FROM WATER THAT HAD POOLED IN THE WHEEL WELL DUE TO A LEAK. THEY TOOK THE CAR TO SS AUTO BODY AND THEY FOUND MULTIPLE LEAKS AND HAVE HAD MY CAR FOR 24 DAYS TRYING TO IDENTIFY THEM ALL.

AS A RESULT, THE FRONT END OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE OTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE NECK AND HEAD THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE'S SHIFTER CONSOLE DOES NOT ILLUMINATE AT NIGHT, LEAVING ONE TO GUESS WHAT FUNCTION THEY ARE IN (PARK, REVERSE, DRIVE). A VERY TINY NOTIFICATION IS ON THE ELECTRONIC DASHBOARD, BUT IF THAT FAILS, THEN THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOWING WHAT FUNCTION THE VEHICLE IS IN. CHEVY SAYS THAT THE FEATURE IS STANDARD, YET ADMITTED THAT THEY LEFT OUT OF SOME 2017 TRAX VEHICLES. THE SHIFTER CONSOLE DOES NOT ILLUMINATE REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOUR HEADLIGHTS ARE ON OR OFF. CHEVY HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND INFORMED THAT IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO FIX THE DEFECT.
