I purchased this vehicle CPO and shortly after purchase the vehicle experienced a major mechanical failure involving the clutch/transmission. The vehicle had a prior safety recall (Recall #24S36) listed as “completed” before I purchased it. However, the issue has now reoccurred despite that recall being marked as repaired. The dealership is now claiming the failure is due to “wear and tear,” but the failure occurred after only approximately 1,000 miles of driving since purchase, which raises concern that the defect existed prior to sale or that the recall repair was not properly completed. The vehicle is currently unsafe to drive due to the risk of sudden loss of power and drivability issues. I do not feel safe operating the vehicle. I am requesting that this issue be investigated as a potential recall-related defect or improper recall repair, as it poses a safety risk.

I am filing a safety complaint regarding an open manufacturer recall on my vehicle that has not been completed despite being scheduled for repair. On or about 2/16/2026, I scheduled the recall repair with an authorized dealership/service center. The repair was accepted and scheduled; however, the repair has not been completed to date. It has now been approximately 50 days (or more) since the scheduled appointment, and the recall remedy remains unresolved. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, the repair has not been performed, and no reasonable timeline has been provided for completion. This ongoing delay leaves the vehicle in an unrepaired condition subject to a known safety-related recall issue. Safety Concern: The unresolved recall defect presents a potential safety risk, as the manufacturer has identified the issue as significant enough to warrant a recall. The continued delay in remedy increases the risk of operating a vehicle with a known safety defect. Dealer / Manufacturer Response: •Recall repair was scheduled and acknowledged by the dealer - suburban ford of Ferndale. •Repair has not been completed after an extended period. •No adequate resolution timeline has been provided. •Communication regarding the delay has been insufficient. Impact: •Vehicle remains in an unsafe or potentially unsafe condition. •Loss of use / inability to rely on manufacturer recall remedy. •Unreasonable delay in addressing a safety recall. Requested Action: I am requesting that NHTSA: •Review this matter as a potential failure to timely remedy a safety recall •Ensure the manufacturer and/or dealer fulfills its obligations to complete the recall repair promptly •Investigate whether systemic delays or failures are occurring in the recall remedy process Additional Notes: This issue is not merely about the existence of a recall, but rather the failure to complete a scheduled recall repair within a reasonable timeframe after acceptance by the dealership.

I was driving one day when I began to hear a knocking sound on my vehicle. I then took the time to look up the recall on my current vehicle and it had mentioned “Rear Suspension Knuckles (24S49): Certain vehicles have defective rear suspension castings that can fail, leading to loss of vehicle control”. I just got off the phone with Ford and they expressed me how I do not have that recall under my vin however I am experiencing the exact same description of what is going on and I am trying to get it looked at, but when I told them that I need this issue resolved before something major happens to my vehicle. They had told me that I had to pay for the diagnostic fee as well as it may not be covered once it is fixed. The sound has only got louder and I am afraid I will be driving and something serious will happen.

My 2024 Ford Mustang has been experiencing a serious mechanical issue that the manufacturer has been unable to repair. The vehicle has been at the dealership for an extended period because a defective component cannot be replaced. Ford acknowledged that the required part has not yet been manufactured. The vehicle has remained unresolved for over five months. This creates a potential safety concern because the vehicle cannot be reliably used or repaired.

ODI #11704736ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,EXTERIOR LIGHTING,LANE DEPARTURE

On [XXX], multiple electrical systems on my 2024 Ford Mustang suddenly failed while the vehicle was in normal operation. The following systems stopped functioning: HVAC/climate control, heated seats, outside temperature display, rear turn signals, and blind spot monitoring. No prior warning lights were displayed before the failure. These failures significantly compromised safety because the rear turn signals and blind spot monitoring stopped working without warning while driving. Loss of exterior signaling and driver-assistance systems created a risk of collision. The lack of HVAC also created visibility concerns due to inability to defog windows. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Ford dealer the same day. The dealer confirmed the issue, diagnosed water intrusion into the Body Control Module, and stated that the failure is linked to an open Ford recall regarding BCM water intrusion. The dealer has had the vehicle since 10/21/25, and the BCM and related components remain available for inspection. The repair has been delayed for nearly two months, and the dealer reports they are “waiting on engineering approval” from Ford with no estimated completion date. The defect has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealer but has not yet been repaired. The manufacturer has not inspected the vehicle directly, and no police or insurance inspection has occurred. The safety risk remains significant because BCM failure disables multiple critical signaling and monitoring systems without warning. Blown 2.3 Ecoboost. At approx 4700 miles while driving got an engine light and severe misfire. Report from Ford technician says that part of a spark plug broke off in #4 cylinder and caused severe damage. Motor (long block) and turbo replaced under warranty and after 700 miles is running fine.

ODI #11696476VISIBILITY/WIPER

While driving approximately 55 mph on a four-lane highway around 8 p.m., the rear window of my 2024 Mustang GT 5.0 Premium exploded/shattered and is now visibly pulling away from the frame. The glass appears ready to collapse inward. Weather conditions were damp with light misting rain and a temperature near 55°F. The rear defroster was not in use, and there were no warning signs or cracks prior to the failure. Only one other vehicle was nearby, so it is not consistent with road debris. The explosion/shatter occurred suddenly and without impact. Photos clearly show the glass shattered separating from the body seam. This presents a clear safety hazard because the rear window could shatter or detach while driving, risking injury to occupants and other motorists. I have photos documenting the damage. The vehicle has not yet been repaired. Ford dealership will be notified when they open in the morning. No injuries occurred, but safety risk is significant. This vehicle is a year old and is garage kept and not exposed to harsh environments. There was no reason for the window to shatter.

Subject: Request for Investigation - Fraudulent and Falsified Vehicle Records (Crest Ford & Roy O'Brien Ford, Possible Involvement of Bell Ford) Dear Attorney General, I am submitting this complaint to formally request an investigation into fraud committed by Roy O'Brien, an automobile dealership located in Michigan. On [XXX], 1 purchased a 2024 dark horse mustang #R8911 from Roy O'Brien under the representation that the vehicle was brand new, undamaged, and met all safety standards. After the sale, I obtained evidence that the vehicle had, in fact, been in an accident during transport and subsequently altered and resold without disclosure. This constitutes misrepresentation and consumer fraud under Michigan law. Specifically: • The dealership and its employees knowingly concealed the accident and subsequent alterations. • The vehicle was sold as "factory new," despite being materially compromised in safety and integrity. • I paid full market value under false pretenses, believing the vehicle to be undamaged and original. I have retained documentation, communications, and repair evidence that substantiate this fraud, including proof that dealership personnel were aware of the accident. I am prepared to provide all supporting records for your review. This misconduct not only caused me financial harm but also created a serious public safety risk, as the vehicle does not meet proper safety standards. I respectfully request that your office investigate this matter for potential violations of Michigan's Consumer Protection Act and any applicable fraud statutes. Please advise me on next steps and whether additional information is required. I am willing to fully cooperate with your investigation. 1. The vehicle had been in an accident during transport prior to sale. 2. Crest Ford appears to have falsely documented services that were never performed, in an effort to disguise the vehicle's accident history and damage. 3. These falsified service records were used to conspire. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My 2024 Ford Mustang is affected by Recall 25C43 / NHTSA Campaign No. 25V546 concerning water intrusion into the Body Control Module (BCM) that may cause exterior lighting failure. Yesterday, on September 05, 2025, I contacted Autonation Ford Miami and requested the required interim inspection and BCM check. The dealer provided me with a written refusal, stating they “will not be able to perform inspection on Recall 25C43 due to instructions for mechanic not available.” This is unacceptable because under 49 U.S.C. § 30120(c)(1), a manufacturer must remedy a defect “without charge when the vehicle is presented for remedy.” Ford’s dealer communication of Aug 25, 2025 instructed dealers to inspect body seams and the BCM for water or corrosion, and replace the BCM if needed. By refusing inspection, the dealer has left me driving a car at risk of safety-critical lighting failure. I am requesting that NHTSA enforce compliance so Ford dealers provide at least the required inspection and interim remedy immediately, rather than forcing customers to wait until 2026.

The shift knob in this car has an issue where the silver ABS plastic piece with the gear numbers and the shift pattern detaches from the rest of the shift knob. This issue has been confirmed and repaired by a Ford dealer twice already in the 9 months I have owned the car. The first time this issue occurred, the silver piece was loose. Before it completely detached, I was able to get it repaired at a Ford dealer. The issue was confirmed by the dealer in the receipt they gave me: "Verified customer concern, shifter knob loose, the aluminum to the leather, replaced shifter knob. No other concerns at this time." The second time this issue occurred, the silver piece suddenly detached when shifting gears during normal city driving. When this happened, the silver piece flew off the shift knob and fell into a gap next to the passenger seat. I was able to get it repaired at a Ford dealer again. They again confirmed the issue on the service receipt: "Verified customer concern, Replaced gear shifter knob". This is a safety issue since it is hard to tell what gear I am shifting into if the plastic piece with the shift patterns breaks off. Once the piece breaks off, it is not easy to grip the shift knob normally, requiring the driver contort their arm in a different direction to grip the shift knob, making it harder and slower to shift. As someone who is experienced with the car, I can get around these issues. However, if someone who just started driving this car experiences this issue, they may not be able to shift gears or shift into reverse, since they may not be familiar with the shift pattern. During the second occurrence of the issue, it caused a lot of confusion and momentarily reduced my attention to the road and the surroundings as I was shocked by the shift knob suddenly breaking and the piece flying off. I attached pictures of the second occurrence of the issue and receipts from the two service visits to a Ford dealer.

The curtain airbags deployed without any collision or impact. This suggests a failure of the airbag sensors. The vehicle and all components, including the deployed airbags and related sensors, are available for inspection upon request. The sudden airbag deployment created a significant safety hazard. If this had occurred while driving at higher speeds, it could have caused me to lose control of the vehicle. The force of the deployment itself poses a risk of injury and can cause burns, bruises, or hearing damage. Myself and the passenger experienced these injuries. Other drivers could have been endangered if my vehicle reacted unexpectedly due to the deployment. The manufacturer inspected the EDR system which claimed that there was collision. There was no collision and no physical damage on the vehicle to suggest otherwise. This suggests a fault with the EDR system, sensors, and safety components of the vehicle. The vehicle is currently under inspection by insurance representatives. A few months into initially driving my vehicle, a warning lamp stating "RESTRAINT INDICATOR LAMP FAULT" was appearing. In March, there was dent and paint damage on the vehicle caused by a driveway gate, unrelated to the recent airbag deployment. These damages and warning lamp were fixed by an insurance certified shop. A report from this repair shop will be provided upon request. It cannot be attached below due to significant file size. There were no indication or warnings suggesting further fault with the airbags or any other safety restraint from March to the July, when the incident occurred.

I purchased a new 2024 Mustang GT. Shortly after I experiences a dead throttle. The car would coast to a near stop and pushing the gas pedal multiple times had no effect. This has happen more than 4 times now. It was taken into the dealership twice. The first time the car was kept for a week and returned with no problem found. The second time is was returned more quickly again with no problem found. With what was asked I don't think I was taken seriously. I drive in areas with poor visibility due to hills and curves and only single lane roads without usable shoulders. Twice it happened in middle of one of these roads and I was at a near stop in middle of the roadway. I was nearly rear ended my a truck traveling at high speed twice with nowhere or no way to move. Another time exiting one street and enter on to another rather busy street with fast moving traffic. The car nearly came to a complete stop in mid turn. Power came back just in time to avoid an accident. I and possibly others could have easily been seriously injured or worse in any of those. I have concerns taking this car anywhere at this point.

The front windshield on my vehicle has cracked twice under normal driving conditions, without any significant impact or debris striking it. The cracks originated near the middle top and then another time lower edge of the glass and expanded rapidly across the surface. This seems to indicate a structural or design flaw, especially since I have seen multiple reports from other owners of the same make and model experiencing similar spontaneous windshield cracking. No, the cracked windshield is not available for inspection upon request. But I did have it sent to the dealership for review. The cracks compromised my visibility, particularly in sunlight and during night driving, which directly put my safety—and the safety of others—at risk. The second incident occurred on a highway, which was especially dangerous due to high-speed travel and glare from sunlight refracting through the cracks. This problem has not yet been formally reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center, but I have found numerous owner complaints online and in forums documenting the same issue. I believe this supports the theory that it's a broader defect rather than isolated cases. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance agents regarding this specific issue. I am open to having the damaged windshield reviewed by any party they recommend. There were no warning lights, error messages, or visible signs of damage before the cracks appeared. Both times, the windshield cracked suddenly while the car was parked or driving at moderate speeds, and the temperature conditions were not extreme.

–In the Owner’s Manual, there are numerous items of information not related to this car. By that, I don't mean a different variation (SL vs Rt). I mean it tells you to push buttons that do not exist. For example, in "visual mode", reviewing the steering wheel. –The Owner’s Manual says to accept a call, press the phone button on the steering wheel – no such button exists. The Owner’s Manual says to hang up a call, press the phone button. Again no such button. You can not say end call during a call– so no voice modes work in call mode. THIS FORCES YOU TO INTERACT WITH CAR BY REMOVING A HAND FROM STEERING WHEEL–THUS VIOLATING Florida Statute 316.305 -- Another example- Using visual, it points to a button on the wrong side of the wheel. If you click on the “G” represented on the bottom right of the steering wheel it shows “mode” buttons. Mode on the actual wheel is on the left hand side. This is just one example of several items in the manual that don’t match the actual car. Plus you have to “know” the correct terminology to search. In a paper manual you can normally get close and thumb through a few pages to find the right things– without that capability if you don’t know the exact wording you are lost. ---There are also numerous customizable setting that do not hold after “saving”. While these may not be safety issues themselves—the amount of interaction this vehicle requires to figure out “what now?”, Is a distraction and may cause accidents. From a stop at a traffic light on [XXX], I made a right turn from [XXX] onto [XXX] in Greensboro NC, and after turning, the car did not respond when I pressed on the accelerator so as to go with the traffic. Instead, the car gradually slowed down. Before the car rolled to a stop in the middle of the road, the engine caught on and the car speeded up normally. The risk is that I would become stopped in the middle of a busy road and that someone rear end into me. If this problem were to occur as I was entering onto an interstate highway, where traffic routinely moves along at 70 mph and more, it would not be good. I took my car to Green Ford, the local dealership, on July 9, 2024. They found a defective battery (which was replaced under the car's warranty), and the dealership said the problems (accelerator and also brakes) were likely caused by a defective battery. (At the same visit the dealership also examined my brakes, which had failed, and which I am describing in a separate incident report). The accelerator problem occurred again on [XXX] when I pulled out of my apartment parking lot onto [XXX] , and after turning onto [XXX] , the car gradually started to slow down, and would have come to a stop. The front wheels of the vehicle have different breaks - this is a factory fault (Manufacturing defect). The front right wheel has 6 piston brembo brake and the left front wheel has 4 piston caliper brakes, causing vehicle to put different braking power on both side - causing it to slid to the right side while breakin (The right wheel producing more breaking power than the left side). This is a safety hazard for me and public, the dealership I bought this car had run their own inspection before selling it to me but they passed the inspection which means they ignore this major fault. Even before that, this vehicle passed the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) at the ford production plant and the dealership sold it to me.
