Delamination of touchscreen occurring resulting in “ghost touches/calls”. This has been verified by an independent dealership. This affects the safety of the driver as the touchscreen is not able to be used properly in emergencies and also the ghost calls can result in 911 inadvertently being called when not needed.

Vehicle: 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4WD Purchase Date: [XXX] Mileage at Purchase: ~54,900 miles Dealer: Cherry Hill Jeep Chrysler Dodge, Cherry Hill, NJ I am filing this complaint because I am currently being required to drive a vehicle with a severe wheel misalignment that is visually observable, while the selling dealership has deemed it 'drivable' and has not completed the necessary repairs. On [XXX], I was involved in an accident in which I struck a curb after sliding on black ice. The damage included a bent lower control arm and a cracked subframe. I brought the vehicle to Cherry Hill Jeep Chrysler Dodge for repairs, which took approximately three weeks. I took delivery of the repaired vehicle on March 13, 2026. Upon taking delivery, I immediately noticed a severe misalignment. The wheel misalignment is so pronounced it is visually apparent while driving. I returned the vehicle to the dealership and they acknowledged the alignment issue. They have since told me there are additional parts needed to complete the repair, and that those parts have not yet arrived. As of today, April 10, 2026, the dealership has confirmed they still do not know when the parts will arrive. Despite the unresolved alignment issue, the dealership has deemed the vehicle 'drivable' and I have been left with no choice but to continue driving it. My daily commute is approximately 60 miles per day, 6 days per week. I have driven hundreds of miles in this condition. Driving a vehicle with severe wheel misalignment poses serious safety risks, including unpredictable handling, accelerated and uneven tire wear leading to potential tire failure, and reduced ability to maintain control in emergency situations — particularly concerning given that this vehicle's incident originated on icy roads. RE: SAFETY RECALL W36 (NHTSA ID 20V-191). Manufacturer Stellantis (FCA US LLC) has reported this safety recall as "Complete" for my VIN. This reporting is inaccurate. The vehicle remains on firmware version 30.21.0, which is the defective version the recall was mandated to replace. The Head Unit and Telematics Box (TBM) hardware are failing to accept the required safety patch. Stellantis Case Management (Case #95948441) has refused to provide the mandated free remedy and is demanding a consumer-paid diagnostic fee to address this failed safety recall, in direct violation of 49 U.S.C. § 30120. Furthermore, the dashboard assembly is failing (adhesive degradation), causing significant rattle/distraction. The manufacturer refuses to honor the Federal Safety Act and remediate these defects without charge. I have already performed the diagnosis and provided firmware evidence which the manufacturer has ignored.

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the heater was activated on the instrument panel, but the A/C inadvertently turned on and then returned to heat. The instrument panel then malfunctioned, rendering the navigation system inoperable. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V652000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.

on or around 12/15/2024 (42257 miles on vehicle) jeep will power on start and stop, all alights on dashboard light, unable to shift into or out of gear when parked. When driving but stopped at a red light car shut off. Attempted to restart unable to, car put into park attempted to restart lights came on but engine didn't turn over. Tried again few minutes laster and the car turned on. Returned apartment, parked car. was unable to shift car into park, car shut off on its own again, car then able to go into park. A few days later start engine, car turns on put car in reverse, car shut off on its own, all lights and warnings on dashboard light up and stay on. Unable to start engine, unable to shift car into park. turn car off, shift into park, on 12/17/24 Car towed to Lake Chrysler dodge jeep ram auto Lewistown PA. told that it was the can bus connector needed to be replaced. Part replaced. 10/10/25 (54630 miles) car in for inspection, oil change, reported to mechanic engine was making high pitched sound/noise when driving up steep hill on highway the week prior. Was told by mechanic "that is normal when driving up steep hills, after a long drive" " we didn't hear it or find anything" Car continued to make this noise on the same hill since. Car in for oil change at David Dodge on 1/12/26 (58,974 miles) reported to mechanic again that engine continues to make a high pitched sound/noise when going up hills, on highway drives and after longer drives. per shop nothing was found. Asked if I should make an appointment for it to be tested and told no not needed. On 3/2/26 check engine light on, waring start/stop unavailable service stop/start system this happened off and on for next few days. Car brought to mechanic on 3/6/26 (60,000 miles) diagnosic test run cylinder misfire, R and R intake manifold to check coil and spark coolant found on spark plug, borescope #3 cylinder Head gasket, cylinder head, block issue . Recommend total engine and radiator replacements

On September 15–16, 2025, my vehicle was serviced at AutoNation CDJR North Columbus, where the technician documented: “Oil filter housing failed internally.” •No repair, replacement, or warning was provided to me about the risk of catastrophic engine failure. •I was not presented a signed repair decline form. •Internal failure was documented but not escalated. On February 13, 2026, the engine failed completely, rendering the vehicle inoperable. The dealership quoted ~$13,094.83 for engine replacement but did not authorize repair. During this time, oil and coolant leaks were observed, indicating continued mechanical risk and potential safety hazards.

Rocker arms and lifters failed

Frequently, my vehicle would not start. It would crank for a lengthy period of time but the engine would not turn over to start. Internet searches show that this is a widespread, known problem with Chrysler vehicles, yet only a small number of recalls have been issued. Unfortunately, my vehicle does not fall under the recall for unknown reasons. I have been advised that the fuel pump and auxiliary fuel pump need to be replaced, which is a costly repair. A fuel pump should not fail on a vehicle with under 50,000 miles on it.

For the past two years ive been having problems with the steering in the car. the steering wheel constantly pulls to the right. i had to get 4 or 5 wheel alignments in one year because the problem is that bad. i have receipts for the fixes. i recently researched known issues and came across the recall of the "steering gear" affecting Grand Cherokees from 2019 - 2020. My car falls under the 2020 year and i am having the issues of the steering gear. At least that is what a mechanic told me when i got the car inspected. i would like to know why my car doesnt fall within the recall when i have that car and the year that is stated and with the same issue

Delaminated bubbling dash obstructs visibility

Jeep delamination screen on the face of the radio. This is a safety concern that could disable my use of my cell in calling 911 in case of a emergency and also being able to locate the vehicle via GPS. It also disables the SOS function in the radio head. This is a known problem with these radio's but hasn't addressed by the manufacture. I have taken this to my local auto repair shop today and was made aware of the problem and told me to look it up and report it. I am requesting to open a case so that it can be addressed and repaired.

On sat 01/24/26 I was filling my washer fluid and I looked down and saw oil on the bottom on right side. I left it parked until I took it 2 miles to dealer told them what I saw and they looked at it and the plastic oil canister housing broke and got oil in my antifreeze. They told me powertrain warranty would not cover the whole fix. I have seeing alot of people have had same problem I think jeep needs to get a recall out for that since it has been a problem. This is not right it should be all covered now I won't have all the money after they get it fixed to.pay. have never had any problem jeep ran good never over heated oil pressure always at 31 to 32 pressure. Never new I had a problem until I looked under hood to fill washer fluid. Something needs to be done about this asap. It all because jeep don't wanna have to fix all the ones like this. I didnot get any photos was so upset I saw oil never even thought about getting pictures. They need to get a recall on this asap thank you very much. I purchased this vehicle, November 2023 and by August 2024 the vehicle went into Griffin Hubs to get the engine replaced. They had the vehicle for over a month and a half when I received it back after the engine I had it for a day and a half and had to take it back because it was making a loud grinding noise coming from the engine which then they had to replace a second time because the engine was shredded and was told they were going to put a new transmission in as well, but instead of just replaced a piece, and then two months later, the negative terminal for the battery was replaced in about four months later I take it into the dealership again because as I was driving the vehicle pulled back three times and then shot forward and that happened seven separate times dealership said they could not find an issue and then in November 2025, the vehicle goals back into the dealership for overheating needing a new water pump because I was losing coolant with no leaks. Get the vehicle back two days later my coolant is empty tied again call the dealership they said if it happened again, bring it back in two weeks later it did the exact same thing. My coolant was emptied, but there is no leaks coming from under the vehicle and now last week as I was driving, the vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating and my gearshift wouldn’t catch any gears and as the vehicle is still moving my tires, then locked. The vehicle has been at the dealership for five days and they still cannot figure out what the issue is.

2020 jeep cherokee screen delamination and it affects gps when traveling and it goes off and flickers and goes to whatever it wants. it is a safety issure. i have been waiting for it to be fixed since december 2025 but it started messing up september of 2024 and still no part to fix the problem and i am not the only one having this problem on these jeeps. please help get this fixed before it causes an accident.

Both my key fobs do not work even with brand new batteries

I am reporting a safety defect involving the Uconnect touchscreen in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Due to screen delamination, the display can lag or freezes, including the rearview camera image. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the camera images can be delayed, frozen, or not updating in real time. This results in the screen showing an inaccurate view of what is actually behind the vehicle, creating a serious safety hazard. Objects, pedestrians, or vehicles can enter the rear path after the image freezes but will not appear on the display. This defect creates a false sense of safety and undermines the purpose of the federally required rear visibility system. The failure occurs intermittently without warning, making the rearview camera unreliable when it is needed most. This is a known defect affecting Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with Uconnect displays, not normal wear and tear. The manufacturer has not provided an adequate recall or permanent fix. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue as a systemic safety defect that increases the risk of backover collisions.

This complaint concerns a serious ongoing engine defect in my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 3.6L Pentastar engine. The vehicle experiences ongoing misfire, rough idle, loss of smooth engine operation, and valvetrain noise. The Jeep runs very poorly and feels unreliable and unsafe to drive. The problem appears to be consistent with camshaft and rocker wear described in Stellantis Technical Service Bulletin 09-011-25. The vehicle has been repaired three times at: NJV Auto Center Inc. 27 Orange Turnpike Sloatsburg, NY 10974 Despite being $2,500 out of pocket, the issue has NOT been resolved. This appears to be a widespread manufacturer defect affecting Pentastar engines. Loss of proper engine function while driving is a safety concern and creates risk of breakdown or loss of power. I am requesting NHTSA investigate.

About 3 years ago i noticed a small bubble in the upper right corner of my touchscreen. Didnt pay much attention for a while but it started spreading to the left. I took a photo and sent a picture to the man that helped me buy my car and asked if there was a known Recall for this. Said he would check, he confirmed there was none. I let it go because i hadnt purchased any extended warranty. Bubbling continued to spread. Occasionally my radio station would change on its own. I thought it was just my imagination and let it go. In July of 2025 my family and i were on vacation and I was driving in Williamsburg, VA. I was using my Jeeps navigation. Suddenly my arrow was taking me off track of the road i was on. This was very distracting considering we were out of town on vacation. My husband took my iphone and typed the address we were going and connected my phone to my charging cord so i could use car play. This did not work and neither did his samsung. It was like they were malfunctioning. We ended up using one of our phones with no connection to my jeep, my husband verbally directed me. Navigation map on my Jeep only showed me in water and still does to this day. When we got back in town I again reached out to the man who helped me, telling him our experience on vacation. He took me to the service center and the guy working the desk knew exactly what i was talking about and said this was common issue. He got me scheduled for repair. I didnt think to ask about if it was free or what. I was just glad he knew what i was talking about. My husband and i came back for my scheduled appt and i immediately asked the guy at the desk if this was free. He stated no it would be around $1500. I couldnt afford that. He asked if i had the extended warranty. I told him no. He said sorry and that was about it. I just walked away and have been dealing with this ever since.

My 2020 Jeep will regularly turnover but not start after pushing the start button. As of now, the vehicle will start normal after pushing the start button a second time. Research has shown many people have had and are still having this exact issue. It would seem that most of the ones with this problem have fixed the issue by having both fuel pumps replaced which is very expensive and in my opinion highly unreasonable being it is a very common issue for Jeep. Upon further research it would seem Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos which share the mechanical characteristics have been having this exact issue for at least 10 years now. I feel it is more than fair that the manufacturer should issue a recall and fix the defect they have obviously known about for quite some time now.

I brought my jeep in for a concern about an antifreeze leak on 1/3/25. I had 130,112 miles on my vehicle and was my warranty expired at 125,000 miles. They thought it was a water pump gasket at the time. I took my jeep back on 10/30/2025 and they confirmed a head leak, that wasn't checked last time. This is a safety issue since it has been confimed that other jeeps within same year have the same issue. If I am driving on the interstate and this issue got worse, then it will be a safety issue for everyone driving around me and me and my passengers in the vehicle as well. It has been inspected by Murray Dodge and Jeep. I have not gotten any warning lamps, messages or symptoms prior to failure. First appeared before 1/3/25. I was 5,000 over my mileage- since I was a traveling RN at the time.

My vehicle is losing power every randomly literally cutting off and on. Flashing lights won’t start at time , next day drives completely fine. I do not understand

Beginning October 3, 2025, the buyer reported a Check Engine Light (CEL) issue. 10.3.25 - The sale dealership stated diagnosis of a fuel leak. 10.8.25 - The sale dealership identified a charcoal canister issue. 10.13.25 - The sale dealership is referring to Jeep dealership. 10.17.25 - The sale dealership confirmed light continues to persist. To date the vehicle has been returned to the sale dealership three times since October 3, 2025. A warranty invoice shows only maintenance order performed occurred on October 3, 2025, and confirmed with the warranty company. This has been a persistant issue based on dates of service with only one repair attempt by the dealership while they maintain possession of the vehicle. Please investigate this issue to determine course of action. within these 10 days.

While driving down the road my panoramic sunroof (not the moving piece but the stationary glass) spontaneously burst and shattered. Clear skies, no trucks around me, no overpasses near me, no trees over me, no debris on the road. No other damage to the vehicle. It appears that it burst outward rather than inward. My vent shade was fully closed so no glass fell into the vehicle down onto myself and my 11 month old child, but had it been open we could’ve been seriously cut up and injured. No warning signs at all, I rarely ever use my sunroof and it was not in use at the time of incident. It caused about a 8 inch by 4 inch hole in my sunroof. This is going to cost nearly $1800 to repair due to no fault of my own.

Transfer case had to be replaced. Service 4 wheel drive light came on along with traction control warning. Also, electronic stability control warning. Steering and movement were sluggish. Only had 51,000 miles in it. Not happy to have paid almost $1,400. for the repair. This should have been a recall because as I understand, many other owners have had the same exact issue. Please look into this. Thank you.

The dash touchscreen is having a delamination issue. It looks like a crack but is actually the two layers of the touchscreen separating which make it look like a crack. From what I see online this looks to be a common issue with the touchscreen but there is no recall. Speaking with the dealership this is an expensive fix. I was quoted $1,725 plus labor to replace the screen.

I bought the vehicle Dec 29, 2024 and it had 79000 miles on it. I use it for work , that is driving to and from my job and to the bank and back for work. I would say that in March of 2025 I went to the bank and I got in to leave and put the vehicle into reverse and it would not go into reverse and a the engine light came on. I had to shut the vehicle off and wait 5 minutes and then try again to go into reverse. When I put it into reverse the r was flashing on the shifter and it said something about needing something to be serviced. So when I looked it up it said that was a sign the transmission was failing. I drove it a couple more times and it only happened 3 times total when it was unable to shift going forward. So I took it to a shop and was informed that the transmission was needing to be replaced. There is no reason the transmission should be going out of it. I live 5 miles from where I work and 15 miles from the bank. I dont abuse my vehicles so what is there an issue with the transmission.

P0303 code. Misfire in cylinder 3. Blown head gasket. 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Car is only five years old with 115000 miles. Dealer suggested a new engine. A $12,000.00 expense to the consumer. $20,000.00 still owed to bank. After much research, it’s clear as day that this is an engineering flaw. Thousands of Pentastar engines have this recurring failure.

The screen for the navigation, radio, climate control etc is delaminating and now not working properly. Also it is getting difficult to see the screen while driving. Car is available for inspection. And no warning…it started to delaminate slowly and now it has begun to delaminate spread quickly

Electronic stability and 4wd lights came on. Brought to dealership and the PTU is no longer working. My car is vibrating and hesitating when accelerating. Jeep dealer told me it’s common to have to replace these units however they are nationally back ordered. My car doesn’t even have 60k miles on it and even if I want to fix my car so it’s safe I can’t because the parts are backordered leaving me with no other choice but to drive for months months unsafely without a properly functioning PTU

The Jeep Infotainment screen lamination becomes detached and delaminated resulting in phantom touches and inoperable safety features.

Component/System: Electrical Power Steering (EPS) – steering cuts in and out while driving. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: My safety and the safety of others were put at risk because the steering intermittently fails, making the vehicle very difficult to control. This could easily cause an accident. Reproduction/Inspection: The issue has been reproduced multiple times while driving. The vehicle previously had an engine replacement at Bayird Dodge Chrysler Jeep in West Memphis, AR (now closed), but this steering problem remains unresolved. Manufacturer/Dealer Involvement: The original dealership is no longer in business, so I cannot return there for service. I have contacted Jeep/Stellantis Customer Care to request assistance. Warning Lamps/Messages: The EPS warning light has appeared during failures. The problem first appeared in [insert approximate date/month you noticed it]. It was a clear day as I arrived at work. While pulling into a parking spot, the Jeep suddenly accelerated over a curb and into a tree. I was able to turn the wheel upon seeing the tree, which helped me avoid hitting other vehicles on the opposite side of the island. I had to depress the brakes multiple times before the vehicle finally stopped just short of another tree. During the incident, I was on a conference call. The attendees confirmed that there were no warning sounds from the vehicle—only the sound of the impact. Notably, the airbags did not deploy. The front driver-side area sustained extensive damage, causing the driver’s door to jam. Fortunately, I did not suffer any physical injuries. The vehicle was towed to an auto body repair shop. When connected to a scanner, no error codes were detected. Repairs took nearly five weeks. Although the front sensors were replaced, they still did not function properly. The shop consulted a technician who remoted in and advised them to replace all the sensors again and inspect the wiring. Although the vehicle has been repaired, I remain fearful of driving it. I’ve read similar reports on this board suggesting these issues may be related to the electrical system. I plan to contact the dealership to ask whether they have experience with such cases and if they can inspect the systems.

My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 3.6 ENG vehicle is cutting off while driving, I was advise it the transmission shift gear transmission, Which needs to be replaced and the can change the TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY - Remove & Replace 3.6L Eng, AWD on my vehicle. when I stop at the light the vehicle completely shuts off where I have to restart my vehicle. They said it was the 2nd battery which I changed and brought a new one. and the same day it still was cutting off. after several attempt in contacting them. I brought the vehicle into Chrysler Jeep Dodge of port Jefferson, and after reviewing they said I need to replace the transmission . I was also advised that there was a TSB Code that is now coming up # 21-00925 Revision C - P0733. I'm very upset as they're telling it current over the extended warranty at this time at 60,000 Miles. when I brought it in it was .. This should be a recall and they need to fix it I only had this vehicle for less then 5yrs brand new, when I started having these issues and can put me in a situation on the highway where I can get into a server accident. I strongly urger the RECALL as this is a known issue with this vehicle

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently failed to start immediately, but started after the second attempt. The battery was replaced; however, soon after the battery replacement, the failure recurred, and the vehicle was taken to a dealer. A diagnostic test was performed, and the contact was informed that the failure was related to the fuel pump or the electrical system. The vehicle was not repaired and remained withthe dealer. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Transmission, available upon request for inspection. Clunk’s into reverse, or doesn’t engage at all. Code p1da8, p0733. Has been confirmed by dealer. Will throw check engine light occasionally. Also shifts hard between gears 3 and 4.

Camshaft and lifter failure at 52,102 miles on Pentastar V6 Motor. This has been a known issue to this motor and no recalls. My vehicle is with the mechnic getting fixed. My vehicle was not drivable after diagnostics at my mechanic. I had potential for enfgine failure due to metal on metal camshaft. I was at risk of serious injury if I did not take my vehile in. There were no check engie lights to alert me of an issue. I noticed a slight ticking noise that was not normal. Could not be heard over the radio. Yes this problem has been reproduced at my independant service center. It has not been inspected to my knowledge by the manufacturer, police, insurance other than my mechanic. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symbols prior to my failure other than a noise I noticed when my radio was off that was not normal.

Radio camera is feeezing when in reverse and saftey isn’t working … radio randomly shuts off and turns on … won’t allow any functions to work when it’s frozen including camera and backup safety assist

Evaporator core leak

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 67,000 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 237,277.

There is a common issue with WK2 Jeeps from 17-22 where the infotainment screen delaminates due to the adhesive that Jeep used and eventually causes the touchscreen to become non-functional.

At approximately 54,000 miles the transmission is not shifting. I parked in a parking spot, go into a store. Then come out and the vehicle will not shift into park or reverse. The check engine light came on for the park by wire issue. These transmissions have been known to have rough shifting and my vehicle has been no exception. It’s shifted rough at low speeds and the eco mode and auto start/stop system have also made it feel less than smooth to drive.

The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH, another vehicle pulled out in front of his vehicle, causing him to T-bone the vehicle on the front driver side. No air bags deployed. The contact stated he and his girlfriend sustained injuries to their backs and his left ankle, knee, and wrist, and bruises on his chest and ribs due to impact. Medical attention was sought via the emergency room. A police report was filed. The failure was not diagnosed by a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop and deemed a total loss. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and they informed him that a case manager will contact him. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.

Display for backup camera, radio & climate control is delaminating. Display stops functioning at points and needs to reset. Seal for display has been compromised, so the unit will stop functioning soon. It will have to be replaced.

I had a 2015 and it had the exact same issue. But before it was adequately diagnosed by the dealer, both headlights were affected and the fix was to replace the entire headlight assembly and replacement was quoted ~ $5000. I currently have the exact same model but 2020 and as of 6/18/25, it is starting to have the same issue. I called the dealer yesterday, 6/19, and was told that the lights are known not to last. If this is a "known" issue than why has Jeep continued to use the same lights putting people at risk at having headlights go out while driving???? Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, I immediately noticed my drive was darker and visibility was difficult in the dark.

The transmission went out in October 2024 and was replaced in November 2024. Since then, the valve body has been replaced twice and probably needs to be replaced again. The car does not shift into/out of third gear properly or consistently which causes very delayed acceleration. This is a safety hazard when entering the roadway, especially merging onto the highway. Chrysler is aware of the valve body being “bad” yet continues to “replace” with bad parts.

[XXX] Utility 4D Altitude 4WD 3.6L V6 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine check engine light came on at 115,000 miles with a P0305 code. The P0305 code for a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine indicates a misfire in cylinder number five. The week prior I performed a coolant flush and fill with the proper Mopar coolant. A few days later the water pump weep hole started leaking. I replaced the water pump and changed the spark plugs. A few days after this was when the P0305 check engine light came on and I could feel the engine starting to stumble from the misfire. No indication of overheating, coolant temperature was normal between 180 F and 210 F. I kept checking the coolant level and noticed the level dropping after a few days. There was no indication of a coolant leak after replacing the water pump. No coolant in the oil, or oil in the coolant and no white cloud from the exhaust from the coolant leaking into the combustion chamber, typically caused by a blown head gasket, cracked head or block or warped head or block. I set an appointment at the Jeep service department, and they informed me the engine had to be replaced. They said they did a bore scope test and a leak down test to confirmed the coolant was leaking into the cylinder. There are hundreds if not thousands of reports from other owners of Jeep Grand Cherokee and other Jeep, Chrysler, Ram, Dodge owners reporting this same issue. The attached photos show no coolant mixing with the or oil mixing with the coolant, resulting in the coolant only leaking through the combustion chamber to the exhaust confirming the service departments findings. I was driving on the freeway and the car stuttered and then stopped, had to get towed home found out the aux battery was bad, replaced that and brake hub and sensor on driver tire but abs. And anti swerve light. Also no cruise control. Screen says Fcw unavailable service required, also 4wf service.

UConnect system is delaminating and experiencing “phantom” touches, often not allowing me to access things needed and choosing to do whatever it wants. This makes me unable to access “hands-free” via Bluetooth connection, etc., which creates safety issues. It also creates serious safety issues when the unit overrides driver choices, and is also distracting as the unit beeps and switches back and forth among options. This is a widespread issue that Jeep knows about and continues to leave good people to pay thousands of dollars to replace or just be out MANY features on this vehicle that all go through the system. This makes MUCH of this vehicle obsolete.

Took to dodge dealer and they told me they have been have problems with traction control, 4x4 problems, misfiring cylinders . They spent 5 days trying to figure it out and told me it was a process of elimination . Replace rear diff motor and that didn't work, replaced TCCM, that didn't work, replaced both batteries , that didn't work, new spark plugs, that didn't work, replaced coils on the side where #1 cylinder miss fire, that didn't work. I've spent approximately $6,000 and still have same problem. I do not have unlimited funds. What should I do next?

I have owned 2 Jeep Grand Cherokees before this 2020 model and never had issues with seatbelts. After just five years, the driver's side seatbelt is not retracting and the passenger side is starting to do the same. I asked Jeep for assistance and I was told this was something I will have to pay for out of pocket. I have seen that many others have complained of the same issue online. I went to a dealer and the seatbelt part is on backorder for almost two weeks. Just ONE seatbelt will cost me almost $600 out of pocket. Jeep is surely playing with fire with this issue. While traveling Vehicle intermittent hard shifts, or no shifts, goes into neutral unexcitingly, sometimes no reverse. SES light on. 77,278 miles Dealer advised stored code - TCM P0733-00 Gear 3 Shift Incorrect Ratio. Dealer also advised vehicle needs Transmission replaced, Repair estimate $5970.28 Previous issues include ABS system repair and engine coil pack issue.

While I was attempting to pass a vehicle on a two-lane highway, my engine started misfiring and I lost engine power and it almost caused a head-on accident. The engine had to be replaced because the camshaft was worn on bank 1 and after doing some research there seems to be a lot of issues with this engine and the rocker arms which wears the camshaft down. There was a lot of metal in my engine which caused them to have to replace it. I researched recalls and there is nothing but after speaking with the dealership they confirmed that there is a known issue with this engine.

Had to replace headlight then it went back out shortly after. The following week the other side went out. I looked it up and it showed that there were recalls for this problem. But am being told there is no recall on my vehicle for this.

I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of significant concern regarding my recent visit to your service center on April 22, 2025, for a scheduled appointment to replace the driver's side rim and two front tires. Upon post-service inspection of my vehicle, I observed that the newly installed front tires were Bridgestone, rather than Ironman, which are consistent with the original rear tires. It appears that the service department took the liberty of replacing the front tires with more expensive Bridgestone models without prior consultation or my explicit approval. After addressing this issue with the service manager, the initial compensation offered was limited to a few complimentary oil changes and tire rotations. Subsequently, the manager contacted me with an offer of one new Bridgestone tire for the rear, contingent upon my purchase of the other tire. The interior wood trim on the driver's side door pealed away and broke. There are other recalls related to the same door trim that is pealing away like X77.

Transmission needs fully replaced, certified technician said the see this all the time in these Jeeps. Dealership said they had to replace one at 56k miles, this car has 85k miles, well taken care of. Research shows this is a very common issue. Jeep needs to cover these transmissions and recall!

At 100,000 miles , traction control light and 4wd service light came on. Dealer said rear diff motor replacement needed, and the TCCM . I replaced and problem still persists . Now red triangle come on dash and says pull to safety motor will turn off. Turning wheel it hesitates like it's not engaging correctly.

Transmission system failed causing slipping when going into 3rd gear. Dealership inspected it and is telling me the output shaft has to be replaced. The check engine light came on when it started slipping.

UNKNOWN. Electronic Stability Control service light activated intermittently for a couple days along with the 4WD service light. After 2-3 days, the ESC light remained lit. Twice when starting the vehicle, the 4WD low was activated without manually shifting gears, in which changed to normal within a minute later. Intermittently, when the vehicle braked to a stop and switched gears to reverse, the vehicle shuttered before continuing in reverse. Another incident while driving and coming to a stop at a traffic light, upon coming to a stop, the vehicle seemed to almost stall but reengage. The vehicle is at approximately 41,500 miles as of 4/1/2025. The vehicle was taken to a Dodge dealership in which report the transfer case needed repair. With under 50,000 miles and utilizing the 4WD only approximately 4 times within the 5 years of ownership with no issue, the transfer case may be faulty or a software update needs to be performed.

Water pump continues to have leak. I have replaced the water pump 3 times in the past year.

This is a known problem with Jeep. Service Shifter error message. I have had this repaired 3x and no one can seem to fix it. The car only has 50k miles on it. There are tons of message board stating that Jeep has a serious issue with their shifter module. Please get Jeep to do something about this.

My vehicle started flashing my seatbelt light when I was driving and I was buckled and then my airbag light came on and my automatic start and stop light came on and have stayed on. I took it into Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram and they charged me $203 to tell me that I don’t have any shorts in the seatbelt wire harness and they found a O.L (over limit) indicating that I have a internal open within the seat, buckle itself,causing the codes and the lights on the dash and that it’ll cost $541.26 to fix and it is not covered under any warranty, even though I just purchased the vehicle eight months ago and I’m under the 100,000 miles and just approaching the first 5 years. I should be covered. Now my airbags will not work and neither will my auto on and off features. This is a safety concern that should have a recall on it or be covered by Mopar.

Car running fine no indication there was a problem, no lights on dashboard or sound. Jeep stalled on highway and engine light came on. Shut car off completely turned it back on and able to move to a safe location. Turned off car again for some time and when turned back on shift gear will not move into drive, reverse neutral. Needed to get it towed to mechanic who diagnosed it as a failed transmission at 88,000 miles. Towed to dealer who confirmed failed transmission. Was able to get cost assistance through jeep for 70 percent of cost but see the recent recalls on jeep because of transmission I feel it should have been a total replacement especially at u der 100,000 miles

Driving down the interstate at 75mph, the vehicle all of a sudden lost the ability to accelerate and felt like it shifted into neutral. We were able to pull over to the side of the road safely and as we were getting out of the vehicle, we noticed flames shooting out from under the engine. My wife and I made it out safely and as we got about 100 yards away and looked back toward the vehicle, the entire front part of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. We sat along the side of the interstate and watched the vehicle burn for 20-25 minutes. We just had the vehicle in for service 6 days prior to get a new battery, a new aux battery, an advanced diagnostic, brake fluid exchange, and a fuel system service. The evening we picked up the vehicle from service, we got an email with a powertrain alert indicator. We then checked the app on the phone and everything in the powertrain section of the vehicle health report was green. I have several videos of the vehicle burning but it doesn't look like I can upload a video file.

Air bag sensor went off, took it to the dealer and they said it could be a loose wire. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle since there has been a recall for prior models due to a faulty sensor which could cause the airbags to malfunction in case of an accident. Also having problems with the screen delaminating.

The main computer or console of this vehicle is known to malfunction and cause the lose of air condition, heat, defrosters, back up camera's, camera sensors, navigation controls, etc. My vehicle was fixed once, but the issue was only warrantied for two years from the repair, which they failed to notify me at the time of the mfg. repair. Additionally, they failed to disclose was the entire dashboard had to be disassembled in order to replace my defective computer/console. Why is that important to know? Well, the leather upgraded dash boards once removed from the car are more receptive to bubbling up and causing an interference to the effective operation of the airbags. Again, the dealership didn't disclose this or how the repair was completed, how it could impact the critical safety features of the vehicle, and they have declined any responsibility of potentially causing additional safety issues when reparing their know defect.

Service shifter light comes on, sometimes it makes the engine light come on and a message appears that says to safely stop the vehicle and put into park. Doing some research on this myself no help from Jeep I found that this could cause the tires to lock up because your Jeep thinks it was put into park as your driving causing a severe accident especially if your on the highway. I also found that you can stall instantly. Imagine having children in your vehicle on the highway and your Jeep just dies. I feel like this is a very serious safety issue that needs to resolved by Jeep. I've had my Jeep brought to a Jeep dealership 3 times now. Currently there as we speak. They have done extensive work to what "may" be causing the issue. They are now chasing wires. I've paid $800. out of pocket and my warranty has covered about 3k in parts. Jeep has been contacted by the dealer with no help or guidance.

My check engine light came on so I took my car into the mechnanic. They noted the following: "Removed intake manifold and find cylinder three spark plug appears ok. Spin engine over to top dead center cylinder three. Pressurized cooling system and find combustion in coolant. Suspect vehicle needs new head gasket." The mechanic said that is a manufacture defect that they have seen with many Jeep vehicles. I called Jeep to inquire, and they let me know that my VIN number is not included in an existing recall for this same issue. The suggested that I reach out to the NHTSB to ask that my car be included in the existing recall.

My Jeep Cherokee has lost power twice. Once while idling at a red light and once while going 70 MPH on the Interstate. The gas pedal went to the floor without resistance and would not give any fuel to the engine. The lights were still on so I didn't lose power completely, but the engine was not responding. The recent recal 25V011000 sounds like what happened to my car, but the 2020 model is not included in the recall. I have taken it to the dealership, but they could not find anything wrong with it.

Power Steering As I was making a right hand turn the red warning power steering icon flashed on the dash and I was unable to complete the right hand turn and proceeded to drift in to the oncoming traffic lane and ended up on the sidewalk facing the on coming traffic lane. Car wouldn't shift into drive. Git car towed in was told possible cam shaft issues. Car has been back 3 more times for same issue finally Stellantis replaced cam shaft. Now same problems are occurring and Jeep wants me to pay to replace engine on a 4 year old car.

The car will be driving and it all of a sudden stops and has all the lights on the dashboard coming on. Every single warning light coming on the car comes to a stop and will not move. This has happened three times and the dealership tells me they don’t know what the issue is.

There are times when I go to start the car and it will not start. It sounds like it is trying but won’t completely turn on. When I press the starter to the off position and then try again it works. We took it to the dealership and they said I need a new Fuel Pump. There is a recall for this but not on my vehicle.

UConnect screen is delaminating and preventing me from getting access to vehicle safety controls. It started delaminating about 6 months ago and is delaminating at a rapid rate. This is a known defect with Jeep and other Stellantis vehicles but they will not repair.

My 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee touch screen is delaminating. I have attempted to contact uConnect and Jeep. UConnect initially agreed to replace the screen free of charge after having it diagnosed, but once I had it diagnosed and called back uConnect claimed the first representative that approved the replacement was wrong and now refuses to rectify the situation. The screen has "ghost" touches - basically selecting options by itself, and the back up camera delays or freezes some of the time, not displaying the live video. The dealer diagnosed the delamination. There were no warnings or other indications of a problem. I only learned what was causing these issues by googling the bubbles in my screen. Based on the research I've done since, it appears this problem will get worse, changing climate control settings, system settings, heater settings, entertainment (radio) settings, and "drive mode" type settings eventually. I have seen so many posts on it spanning multiple models and model years, all related to the same problem with the same symptoms, it should really qualify for a recall. I am afraid to let my soon-to-be 16 yr old drive my car because of the distraction this defect can cause, and there is no prevention or reasonable remedy. The screen has not been intentionally damaged, no wipes or other products have been used on it regularly, and it is kept garaged when it is not being driven. The vehicle is used in a normal manner -driving to/from work and practice on city streets and highways, and is not subject to abuse. From my research it is a manufacturer's defect in the screen itself, which can only be avoided or resolved by replacing the unit. If owners don't cause the issue, and can't prevent it by any kind of regular maintenance, training, or care, then it isn't an issue owners should suffer safety concerns or financial obligations over.

I am reporting significant safety issues with my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited X. These failures compromise essential safety functions necessary for highway driving and parking. Additionally, I encountered a severe issue regarding the vehicle’s lack of over-voltage protection. While charging the battery, it was accidentally exposed to 48 volts instead of 12 volts, resulting in damage to key electronic modules, including those controlling safety systems. This lack of protection from foreseeable charging errors is concerning, especially given the advanced electronics in modern vehicles. Other Jeep owners have reported similar issues related to voltage fluctuations affecting ACC, Lane Departure, and ParkSense systems. I request that NHTSA investigate these concerns, as they may be affecting a broader range of Jeep vehicles, putting drivers and passengers at risk. While a fire did not occur, the potential is there due to the burning of electronics with strong odors and smoke.

Screen is delaminating and this is a common issue in this type of vehicle

The front glass panel of the panoramic sunroof spontaneously shattered. The car was going approximately 45-50 mph when a loud "bang" was heard. Broken glass could be heard inside the closed sunroof liner. Upon inspection, there was no physical damage to the front end of the car, hood, or roof indicating that something may have struck the car. An inspection of the sunroof showed a sizable hole in the middle of the sunroof glass panel with accompanying cracks in the sunroof safety glass. The car can be inspected upon request. The safety of the driver and passengers could have been compromised if the sunroof shade/liner was retracted. The problem has not been reproduced although the dealer has confirmed that incidences such as this have occurred. The vehicle has not been inspected at this time, but an inspection is scheduled. There were no warning lamps or other notifications alerting the driver to the malfunction

My driver and passenger side front seatbelts won't retract properly. Dealer just diagnosed the problem as a weak retractor. This will be the THIRD time the driver side has to be replaced since I bought the vehicle in May of 2020. It will be the SECOND time the passenger side has to be replaced. Jeep replaced both under warranty in Sept of 2021. Driver side was replaced in May of 2023 per Jeep goodwill. This time, I will have to pay for the passenger side but Mopar warranty should cover driver side as it is barely a year old seatbelt. No one i've consulted has ever had to replace their seatbelts even one time, much less three times in four years. This is a definite safety concern if the belts won't tighten up properly during normal driving or a collision situation. Jeep has recalled seat belts on Grand Cherokees up to 2015 but there have been no recent recalls i'm aware of.

My husband was driving our 2020 jeep and was going 70mph on the turn pike and BAM all the air bags went off, curtain air bags everything! He broke some ribs and some other things and went to the hospital. I have contact Chrysler and they sent out a mechanical engineer to read the black box type thing in the car and never got back to me. No one will speak to me there I am stuck with a vehicle I cannot drive with the air bags all exploded as a vehicle malfunction. We were not stuck we did not strike anything they just exploded. There were no indictor lights on the vehicle drove fine there was nothing wrong with it and we had it less then 6months.

The main screen display in my Grand Cherokee is de-laminating. It is happening so quickly and makes the screen difficult to see, creating a hazard. I called Jeep Cares and they informed me that nothing could be done but I could pay out of pocket. Jeep said that it didn't meet requirements for repair/replacement and I asked what requirements it didn't meet. The representative told me that was proprietary information. A week later, the screen is getting hard to see so I messaged Jeep on Facebook. They responded and asked for my information and they would review and get back to me. I provided that information and now they are actually ignoring me. I followed up twice, they read the message and will not respond.

Main entertainment screen containing all settings for car, safety, navigation has bubbled which is a common issue amongst car owners for this car.

This is the fourth time this has happened. I am scheduled to have the dealership begin to trouble shoot the issue again tomorrow. Upon the second time I took the vehicle to the dealership. They were unable to replicate the issue having had it in their possession for two weeks. I was driving to work this morning, driving downhill, turned on my turn indicator to take a right onto a highway on ramp, when in the middle of the turn complete electrical and engine failure. The radio, headlamps, turn signal, brake lights, power assisted braking and engine all cut out. The hazards worked, but no dash light indicator lit up letting me know. Only the glowing flash on the side of the road let me know. The dash was completely blacked out except for "shift to park to start". The steering didn't lock up thankfully, while pulling over I attempted to shift to neutral and start while in motion, nothing. I succeeded in coming to a stop on the shoulder shifted to drive, and the vehicle started right up. There were,and are no warning lights illumenated.

Delamination of the front screen of the car. The screen is delaminating at a rapid pace and I have no reason for the issue to arise other than a manufacture issue with the screen. It continues to get every day. Causing an obstruction and not being able to see my review back up camera.

Display screen is suddenly delaminating rapidly. No unusual incident has occurred to cause the delamination. As the area of delamination expands, the responsiveness of the touchscreen becomes erratic.

While driving the power steering would quit working. It would turn off and on randomly. I have found this to be a very common issue among these vehicles.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle started shaking abnormally and stalled. The RPM increased to high. The contact was able to pull over and restart the vehicle. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the water pump was leaking. The contact stated that the valves, cylinder, head gasket, gasket case cover, gasket head cover, oil intake manifold, and oil filter housing were replaced, but the failure recurred. The mechanic performed a pressure test. The contact stated that while at a stop light, the engine seized and failed to move. The vehicle failed to shift into gear. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the alternator ground wiring nut was corroded. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 50,273.

The Uconnect screen on my vehicle is starting to delaminate. With that cause its becoming a safety issue as the screen is starting to move around by itself become a distraction on the rode. The navigation system clicks by itself and it is putting my family at risk while driving.

Unable to changed from MPH to KmPH in the cluster. Does not operate as documented in owners manual, resulting in inability to determine speed in KmPH in Canada.

Screen delamination

Purchased used 2020 Grand Cherokee at Christmas time 2023. Vehicle had 25640 miles on it. On April 24, 2024 while driving home maybe 2 miles from home, I was lucky not to crash when losing steering response.A Warning Message appeared on the Speedo, stating, “POWER STEERING UNAVAILABLE SERVICE REQUIRED “. 28K miles is about 2,400 miles driven to date. I drove straight home and made an appointment for service. Koons Chevrolet where I bought the car performed diagnostic testing to determine Replacement of the Steering Gear RACK AND PINION would require replacement and the repair $5800 parts and labor. The module is internal and not serviceable therefore the Whole Steering Gear must be replaced. Cost is prohibitive for a fairly new vehicle.

Transmission failure, vehicle will not start and will not shift into reverse, leaving driver stranded and stuck in vulnerable parked position. Check engine light comes on with P1B14-00 code - "Park by wire unintended park position". Engine light did not come on until after issue happened. Dealership diagnosed and confirmed issue and engine warning light code P1B14-00. They re-flashed vehicle ECU due to recall and that did not resolve issue. They are suggesting completely new transmission.

The front right suspension makes weird noises when going over bumps and when turning. The noises can be described as if there is something loose moving in the front suspension. It is very noticeable when you turn and go over a bump. You can also hear it when going over road imperfections. The vehicle vibrates at certain speeds. This might be caused by this suspension issue.

We were driving down the street and heard a loud noise almost like a gun shot. We thought something hit the windshield however there was nothing wrong with the windshield. We then noticed the sunroof blew out shattering the glass. The way the glass is protruding out indicates the sunroof blew out. It was not hit with anything causing the damage. If the glass was hit it would have been caved in. Luckily, we had the inside screen closed so that we were not hit with pieces of shattered glass. The sudden loud noise could have caused a major accident and the flying glass could have caused injuries to passengers. This is a safety issue. I contacted Jeep and they did not seem concerned by this and their agent actually hung up on me when I asked to speak with a manager! I have not taken the vehicle in for any repairs at this time. I was trying to see if Jeep was going to take care of the situation however it does not appear to be the case.

Passenger side airbag failed to deploy. Head injury, rib fractures, vertebrae fracture

Lost control of steering which pushed vehicle to left and hit a retaining wall then to the right of the interstate. There were no warning lights. After vehicle stopped found front end had fallen off and left front tire was sitting on it's side.

I was in a head on collision in my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and another driver crossed the center line. I braked at approximately 40 mph the other car was driving the same speed downhill and made impact with the front drivers side bumper. Busting the headlight, washer fluid reservoir, threw my front grille at least 5 feet in front of the truck… their car’s front end was demolished. My airbags in my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee did not deploy. I feel this is a fail on the manufacturer as there is no reason why one if not all airbags should not have deployed.

Sunroof shattered while driving on the interstate. There was no impact to sunroof prior to and no known past impact to sunroof leading up to it shattering. The sunroof had previously shattered mid-drive on May 11, 2023. Impact to the sunroof had been heard ~2 weeks prior. The sunroof was fully replaced at the Jeep dealership the following week. Had sunroof shade been open, glass pieces would have posed a potential safety risk to driver and passengers eyes and drivers attention to the road. The vehicle component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, insurance, or law enforcement. No warning messages or symptoms were present to alert to the issue.

My Jeep is a 2020, and I recently bought it last June as a certified preowned vehicle from a Jeep dealership. I was having electrical and fuse problems when my moon roof on the vehicle stopped working. Recently driving home at night, I lost all lights on the vehicle. Headlight, high beams, brake lights and turn signals, the lights do not work on the vehicle and I was driving in the complete dark. My gas tank also was having issues and it does not allow me to fill the tank because it thinks it is always “full” even though it is not. I brought the vehicle to the dealership and they stayed I have a completely fried computer system as well as the vent tube on my gas tank is “clogged” and the entire gas tank needs to be replaced. I have owned the car for less than a year and a half, it is only three years old and the warranty JUST expired. There is no way a vehicle with only 32,000 miles has a completely failed computer system along with needs a full gas tank replacement. They are stating to fix the safety issue it is $2700. The manufacturer is taking zero responsibility. Roughly 6 months before I took it to them because I was having fuse issues.

This issue has now happened 3 times. The first time it happened I took it in and they said it was an auxiliary battery that was replaced. The issue is the vehicle will stall and shutoff completely because it is completely out of fuel even though the electronic gauge and the needle show it has gas in it. This Saturday we was driving on the interstate at around 70mph and it showed a little over a 1/4 tank on the needle and 130 miles to empty on the digital readout. It shutoff completely and we were almost hit on the interstate from behind I barely had enough coast to get over to the side of the road. The first time it happened it shutoff and was going much slower and it actually started back up and let me drive. The second time I was siting at the gas station with a little lesss than 1/4 showing on the needle and it shutoff and wouldn't start back until we pushed it to the pump and put gas in it. When this happens it never takes a full tank to fill it back up so there is gas in the vehicle.This is very dangerous.

The steering is overly heavy. That is, it requires a great deal of effort to turn-- a dangerous amount of effort. Steering the car is an immense chore that leads to exhaustion and is dangerous when making even the slightest maneuvers on the road. When the wheel is turned the turning causes a muffled, strained/rubbing sound. There is some kind of friction that there shouldn't be within the steering column.

The contact owned a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH, the vehicle in front of the contact had lost control and ended across the lane. The contact stated that the road was a gravel road and the driver of the other vehicle had created a dust cloud that obscured the vehicle. The contact stated that her vehicle crashed into the other vehicle on their passenger side front door. The contact stated that as her vehicle's driver's side front end crashed into the side of the other vehicle, the air bags had only partially deployed once the contact's vehicle had stopped forward momentum due to the crash. The contact stated that her driver hit his head on the windshield and his chest hit the steering wheel. The contact stated that he was not cut only bruised on the forehead and chest. The contact stated that the shoulder strap of the front passenger seat belt had caused bruising on her left shoulder and rib cage and she was in pain. The contact stated that emergency services transported her to the emergency room for evaluation and later her driver drove himself to the emergency room for evaluation. The police were on the scene and filed a report. The contact stated that both vehicles were not drivable and her vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The contact said that her insurance provider declared the vehicle a total loss and had determined that the air bags had not deployed as designed. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 16,273.

While changing the tire on my vehicle, the jack shot from under the right rear passenger area of the car to the front center of the car. This happened while the vehicle was raised and the tire was removed, this caused the right rear brake rotor to fall on the asphalt parking lot. Luckily no part of my body was under the vehicle at the time, or i could have been killed.

The contact stated that while driving forward into a parking space the brake pedal was hard when pressed and the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration and crashed to the side of a building. After the incident, it was discovered that the front brakes had seized and the vehicle was undrivable. The contact indicated that during the crash the collision avoidance feature did not active. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer. A police report was taken at the scene. No injuries were reported. The manufacturer was notified of the crash and an engineer was sent to examine the vehicle. No further information was available. The failure mileage was 35,800.

Water pump has failed at 61, 573 miles. Jeep issued a warranty extension for water pumps in the 2013-2017 models. It appears they have not corrected the defects in their water pumps.

While trying to start the Jeep with the keyfob in the vehicle the Jeep will not start and I get Keyfob Not Detected error on my dash. Followed by Hold keyfob to start button to start.

While stopped due to traffic back up on the freeway i was rear ended at about 80 MPH luckily there was another car behind me…the air bags didn’t deploy at all and I’m wondering why?

The leather dashboard is bubbling and wrinkling. I read that this can cause the entire dashboard to come off if the airbags were to deploy. I’ve also seen other complaints where it continues to bubble up so high that it decreases visibility

I change my oil religiously on my 2020 Grand Cherokee, which has 67,000 miles on it. I went in today to change it at Bettenhausen Dodge (Bettenhausen Motor Sales Inc - Jeep, 8355 W 159th St, Tinley Park, IL 60477; [XXX] ; Phone: [XXX] ), and [XXX] , the service manager manager, told me I had no oil left in my car. He said something went wrong with a pump or something, and as a result I have no engine oil left.. And as a result some engine oil went into the radiator and other places. Plus, [XXX] added, they don't know yet if my engine is damaged as a result. Repairing only what they can see so far (i.e., radiator, pump, hoses etc and that's only if the engine was not damaged, which ostensibly they said they would check before work begins) will cost at least $4700. I asked why no "idiot red light" (as such warning lights used to be called, and such lights have been in every car I have owned since 1972) went on to alert me that there was NO ENGINE OIL LEFT in the car?? The manager said , none of their cars has a "low oil and/or no oil light". All they have is a computer program which informs the driver when to change the oil< and that computer warning system simply is based on miles driven, and it does not inform one if there is no engine oil or low oil. I can not hardly believe there is no red light to tell a person that there is low and/or no engine oil in the car!! The technology behind "idiot red lights" informing the driver of low oil and/or no oil has been around for over 70 years. I am i being lied to? What can I turn for help? While at a complete stop, depressed the accelerator pedal and reached approximately 30 miles per hour. The vehicle engine RPM's rose but the vehicle would not accelerate. Placed the vehicle in park and then began driving, where the vehicle appeared as if nothing occurred. This took place around 5/2023 at approximately 26000 miles. On 7/18/2023, the same incident occurred where the vehicle momentarily lost power again and would not accelerate even when the accelerator was depressed. This occurred at approximately 30450 miles. The vehicle then appeared to have no further issues beyond that.

The rack and pinion isn’t working properly. Damaged.

The check engine light started appearing on the dash and the adaptive cruise control kept appearing that it was off. The light would go off and come on again and the transmission would not shift gears and I could not go in reverse. I drove vehicle to Marino Jeep and they notified me of 3 defects in the internal transmission- which I still have my warranty as the car is at 32.800 miles ONLY on the odometer. This was a dangerous defect causing my car to stall.

Per the dealership: The engine wire harness ws not sitting where it should have been, and was melted by the cadillac converter. This caused the auxiliary battery to fail, and the jump fuse block to blow.

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 56,165.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated while at a stop light, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact was able to pull over into a parking lot. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was contacted, and the manufacture stated that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The failure mileage was 55,803.

When using SPORT mode, the vehicle will surge forward when coming to a complete stop. The surge could cause a MVA. Have not taken in for service or inspection. No warning lights. Just don't use the feature.

PARK SENSE FEATURE IS TURNED OFF, BUT PARK SENSE KEEPS ENGAGING. WITH ERRO MESSAGE "PUT IN PARK THEN PUT IN GEAR. I RECEIVE THIS ERRO MESSAGE 4 0R 5 TIME, BEFORE I'M SBLE TO PUT IN GEAR AND DRIVE VEHICLE, THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING PERIDOCALLY SINCE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE, BUT GETTING MORE FREQUENT.

The vehicle stops on its own without warning, and a few times it has run me off the road. Infotainment issues (this is the one that made the vehicle qualify for a lemon claim). After hitting a bump in the road, my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit began to violently wobble while being flat towed behind my motor home on I-475. Vehicles in close proximity of the Jeep I was towing were at risk as there was a possibility that the vehicle could have broken loose or flipped endangering others. It appears that this defect is already known to the manufacturer of the Jeep and other models have been proven to have a defect that causes what is known as the DEATH WOBBLE. Apparently, Jeep has bought back some vehicles with the DEATH WOBBLE defect. The vehicle is currently being analyzed by the Newnan Peachtree Jeep dealership in Newnan Georgia. The owner's manual clearly states that the vehicle can be flat towed with all four wheels on the ground. Instructions to flat tow the vehicle were followed as written. Jeep should be liable to the damage caused by this defect and do whatever it takes to remedy the problem. Buying back this Jeep from the owner should also be an option to the owner/customer.

The contact owns a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Fortera, Tire Size: P245/70/R17, DOT Number: 1PJHLFNWR. The contact stated that while inspecting the vehicle, he noticed there were cracks on the sidewalls of all four tires. The vehicle was equipped with original tires. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the tires had prematurely rotted. The tires were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was determined that the replacement tires had also dry rotted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,500.

1.The electrical/engine/powertrain systems failed 3 times. The vehicle is available for inspection. 2.As the problem progressed, the car would only go forward, no ability to go in reverse, or to be put in park. 3.The dealership replaced the ABS Module, then later the Engine Control Module. 4.Event 1: September 1, 2022 Warning light for the stop/start feature came on, also the ABS light and check engine light. Dealership kept the car for the day, did a diagnosis, returned the vehicle stating it was safe to drive, and that an ABS Module had been ordered. Would contact me to schedule the repair. Event 2: September 8, 2022 Dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, all warning lights came on, as well as all lights on the gearshift panel/center console, which kept blinking. Car would only go forward. Dealership installed ABS Module and returned the car to me. Event 3: September 29,2022 Warning light for the stop/start feature and check engine light came on again. I took the car to my local dealership with major concerns that the previous repair was not the only problem occurring and left it there. The Engine Control Module was eventually replaced. 5. I had no use of my Jeep Grand Cherokee from September 29 until November 8, 2022. 6. I have a major concern about the safety of this vehicle.

Hello dear….I suffer from a problem when I’m driving my truck and it’s as follows: when the gear is on D and my truck stopped ,and I stomp the gas pedal with a little force my truck keep going I can’t stopped for 40 seconds after which return to the normal driving state,this situation happened to me 5 times,I don’t know if the speed control cable can interfere with the speed control servo pulley and not allow the throttle to return to idle when disengaging the speed control (a stuck throttle could result)..,,

within 32000 miles the belt retract failled. would not lock in place, or retract. dealler said it was a spring faillure. could be a bad heat treat that would afect more vehicles.

The brakes failed. When I pushed on the brakes the car unexpectedly accelerated into a vehicle in front of me, then swerved out of control and crashed into a pillar, then stopped. The break remained smashed to the floor, and I had a hard time lifting the break to see if it would drive. UPDATE 06/13/2023- Consumer sent in copy of complaint addressed to BBB. Consumer states "Re: FCA Third Complaint (#86264538). As a result of the ongoing vehicle malfunctioning and the fact that Chrysler is refusing to provide a release so that the vehicle owner can service his vehicle serviced by a Certified Chrysler mechanic. I had to file a third complaint with the FCA. I understand that the FCA decided not to respond to your inquiry and that Chrysler is not taking responsibility for the vehicle, but today. Mr. Owens was advised that until the FCA Legal Department provided a release neither the Certified Chrysler Mechanic at Hudson Valley Auto nor anyone else could service the vehicle because of the product concern." "Due to the product concern Milford Auto Group-Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram where Mr. Owens purchased the 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, advised Mr. Owens that he could not sell his vehicle back to the dealer or trade it. Not only does the vehicle appear to be a lemon under New York Lemon Law, since it has been to the repair shop three times, but State Farm underestimated the amount of damage to the frame and transmission to avoid totaling the vehicle. Transmission failed while driving in traffic. Car decelerated from 45MPH to 0, gas peddle would not accelerate, break was locked in place, steering wheel locked, no warning lights appeared, flashing D on gear shift (was in drive), alert appeared on screen “Shift to P then desired gear”, car would not shift gears and gear shift was locked in place then pressed the Push to Start button, car restarted and then shook and jerked forward before allowing me to switch gears from Drive to Park then back to Drive. Hello, Before two months I bought preowned grand Cherokee north edition with 15.500 miles. When I start driving for the first few minutes I hear a sound like whistling, and it's like the engine is having a hard time getting up to speed. also very often when I shift the transmission into reverse I hear a knock.

Today I was driving on the highway with a high wind advisory, in the morning driving with the wind was causing my hood to flex under the intake pressure. The vehicle when drive shuts engine off and tell you to shift to park. It has don’t it to me a few time and twice I almost got rear ended. I took it to the dealer and they say they can’t find anything wrong with it. To shut off the stop start system but it still does it when I stop start system is off. If you go online a lot of people are having the same issue Jeep just doesn’t want to acknowledge it. This is very dangerous because it does it at any speed stop and go or you could do 65 on the highway and it does it in jeep is aware of this because many people have complained about it and it’s going on death years. After some time, the system completely shut off and I was able to drive it without the stop start system. The message that came out was stop start system needs servicing, but the jeep dealer has no idea what that is. They have tested the battery and they said it’s OK. It Hass to do something on the transmission or something yeah true but this is going to be something if they don’t fix someone’s gonna get hurt and when they get a lawsuit that’s what you’re gonna do something for the negligence.

Faulty transmission at 14,500 miles. Car shifted abruptly from park to reverse in harsh and sometimes in a lunging manner. Similar abrupt shifting occurred from 2nd to 3rd gear. Problem resulted in need for a totally new transmission.

When I put my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee in reverse, the backup camera displayed on the screen like normal. However, once I shifted into drive the backup camera image was frozen on the display. It wasn’t until I powered off the radio and back on that it went away. This is a safety issue because it caused a distraction to me while I was in drive trying to figure out what was going on. I also took a video that clearly shows my jeep was in drive while the backup camera image was still frozen on the display.

Vehicle stalls unexpectedly. Error is "shift to park". Driver shifts the vehicle into park. The car is then locked in park and the driver needs to restart the vehicle. The vehicle doesn't always restart. This has happened multiple times. After the first time, we took it back to the dealership where we bought the vehicle and they replaced the batteries. After the batteries were installed it happened again, took it to a Jeep dealership and they were not able to duplicate the issue so did not do anything. It happened again after that. This is extremely dangerous and can cause serious accidents since the vehicle is stalled in the middle of a road!

The contact stated that an unknown yellow warning light flashed on the instrument panel during the failure. Due to the failure, another motorist hit the rear driver-side door of her vehicle. The bottom and door air bags deployed upon impact; however, the no other air bags deployed. The other driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance; his injuries were unknown. The contact sustained no injuries in the accident. A police report was filed. The vehicle was initially towed to an independent tow yard and later towed to her home where it had yet to be diagnosed or repaired. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

On July 1, 2022, in the morning, the right rear passenger door window in my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee spontaneously exploded and then, in the evening of the same day, the rear hatch window also spontaneously exploded. The vehicle was purchased new in June of 2020 and has been driven approximately 57000 miles. There was no evidence of damage to the windows prior to the explosions.

Shocks failed at under 50k miles and should not have had this issue at such a low mileage. I have a baby so driving a vehicle with shocks that have busted does not feel safe at all. Dealership has done a diagnostic and no longer under warranty, Extended warranty does not cover it as well. Stuck paying a diagnostic fee and shocks are on back order with 250 plus in line to get them.

Updating NHTSA ID Number 11382705, 10/22/20. Dealer diagnosed issue on 9/15/21 and it was caused by a defective battery. Battery was replaced and there has been no further issue. Please remove or supplement No. 11382705

I was evacuating the Colorado Marshall Fires and my 2020 Grand Jeep Cherokee with 20,000 miles just quit while driving down the road. It was slow moving traffic out of the area with 100 MPH winds, heavy smoke and debris flying through the air. As I tried to restart it, there was a message about some sensor, but unclear as to what exactly the message was. The engine would not turn over. The car was partially blocking traffic and caught on fire approximately 10 minutes after it stopped. Those evacuating were down to one lane and navigating around a burning car. No investigation is possible as it is completed burned up. I have followed all of the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedules and have had zero incidents with this Jeep prior to this. I would like some sort of investigation as to the cause (an assessment of the situation as there is no car left to inspect). I do not want this happening to another person/family as they are trying to get out of a dangerous situation. I was lucky in that there were others evacuating, however, had I been in an isolated area, my dogs and I could have been dead.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered since it did not have an extended warranty. The failure mileage was 14,787.

Screen constantly freezes and it's unresponsive for long periods of time, then reboots. Then the cycle repeats. Serious safety hazard as the back up camera image freezes on the screen and doesn't change, even though your moving and the image video should have changed. This has been happening since the car was bought new and dealership says they're nothing that can be done

I bought my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk used from Carmax and after barely having it 7 months it is now totaled by Insurance company. The reason: driving home from work on state highway at approx. 45mph on November 24, 2021 after dark. Came over rise in road to see about 10 vehicles completely stopped in front of me about 100 yards away. I applied the brakes and nothing happened. Took foot off brake pedal & tried again... nothing. I had to swerve off road to keep from running into back of vehicle(s) stopped in front of me. Was able to safely miss damaging/injuring any other vehicles/people. Struck a tree on the left front of Jeep. Applying brakes did not stop or slow my Jeep Grand Cherokee's speed. When tree was struck at approx. 45mph the airbags did not even deploy.

My Safety as well as other Drivers safety are at risk when you down the highway at a speed between 70 & 75 miles an hour and all off a sudden your engine quits, I was told it goes into limp mode, I turned off engine, started it again could not get power, turn off engine again waited a few minutes and it finally gave me some power, was told by the Dealership that they could not find anything the computer may have reset itself, in a one week period it did twice, I nearly got hit or the person could have got killed hitting me. This is definitely a safety issue I think this should be a recall.

Bought jeep in December 2020. Currently at 8000 miles. In October 2021, the vehicle would not turn off. The push button would go between ACC and Start but not in the off. Dealership has never seen this and after 8 days, are not able to definitively tell me what the issue is. The assumption has been given that the car is not recognizing that the vehicle is in Park. This is an assumption as whatever diagnosis that is being done is not finding the error.

While driving on the highway I heard a loud sound, like a gunshot and my sunroof had shattered onto me.

I was merging onto a highway after work and my sunroof exploded. There were no other vehicles, bridges, or any other objects around me. This could have been a real bad situation if it occurred with other vehicles around me. The local Jeep dealership refused to cover the repairs under warranty stating that, "Looks like an object hit my sunroof". There are no other markings around the sunroof.

The vehicle starts jerking at a high rate of speed that become dangerous. Often times the vehicle will shut off on its own. Also the unconnect system goes out a lot. Another problem going wrong with the jeep is that the back window Always makes noise as if it would crack or something.

The Sunroof exploded and a sound like a bomb or gun went off. Most of the glass blew out of the car but I had some drop on my head, neck and shoulder. The glass went everywhere. I later found that I had glass fragements in my right eye as well. The doctor took them out. I took the dealership and they were going to replace it and then I got an email saying it was going to be under investigation. 10-14 days or longer. I am a senior adult and work a part time job. This is my only car. The runaround continues. I received an email about the investigation and no phone number. I just want my car fixed. This was my dream car and now its a nightmare car. As soon as it is repaired I will never have another JEEP. The service has been terrible. The staff at the dealership tried to be helpful but their hands are tied. Frustrated since I did nothing wrong.

Jeep caught fire while parked. Origin of cause states right side of engine is fire origination

The screen in my car will get stuck on my reverse camera, freeze that way for minutes after I've put the car into drive. It will also randomly cut off and back on which is distracting and annoying.

The vehicle Uconnect Radio Unit has malfunctioned since I purchased the vehicle, and the rate of the malfuctions have increased in frequency and duration, and now are impacting different functions of the vehicle such as the Back Up Camera, Navigation, GPS, Heat & Cooling Seat Options, Radio, Blue Tooth, etc. (this head unit [radio] controls, the Navigation, GPS, Backup Camera, Radio, Heated Seat, Cooling Seat. Essentially most of the vehicles comfort and safety features run through the vehicles radio/head unit. When it malfunctions you can lose all or part of the Jeeps functionality such as the back up camera, GPS, Navigation, Bluetooth, seat temperature controls, etc,.

UCONNECT IS THE STEREO IN THIS VEHICLE. IT HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES. IT GLITCHES AND CAUSES THE SYSTEM TO FREEZE AND RESTART ITSELF. THE DEALERSHIP HAS DONE ALL THEY CAN DO AND SENT ME A PICTURE OF THE RESPONSE THEY RECEIVED FROM JEEP TO WAIT FOR AN UPDATE. I REACHED OUT TO JEEP, THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT UCONNECT. I DID AND I GET THE SAME RESPONSE, EVEN FROM THE PEOPLE IN HIGHER POSITIONS. MY ISSUES ARE 1) SAFETY - THIS SCREEN IS USED FOR THE BACK UP CAMERAS. WHAT IF I BACK OVER SOMEONE OR SOMETHING? 2) HEATED STEERING WHEEL AND SEATS ARE ALSO CONTROLLED FROM THIS PANEL. I LIVE IN NEBRASKA AND I DO NOT WANT TO FREEZE MY BUTT OFF OR FRY IT OFF JUST BECAUSE I CAN'T ACCESS THE BUTTONS. AGAIN, MY NUMBER ONE CONCERN IS THE SAFETY OF NOT BEING ABLE TO ACCURATELY ACCESS THE BACK UP CAMERAS. I AM SUPPOSED TO WAIT FOR THIS UPDATE TO HAPPEN IN JUNE OR JULY. WHILE I WAS PARKING NEAR THE BEACH, THE CAR STARTED ACCELERATING AND THE BREAKS BECAME UNRESPONSIVE. AS A RESULT, THE CAR CRUSHED INTO THE WATER AND GOT SUBMERGED. I WAS ABLE TO LEAVE THROUGH THE WINDOW BEFORE IT GOT FLOODED

I BOUGHT VEHICLE IN MAY 2020 AND HAVE HAD CONTINUED ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE SINCE DECEMBER 2020. FOUR MONTHS AGO THE RADIO SCREEN STARTED FREEZING OCCASIONALLY. WITHIN A COUPLE WEEKS IT WAS SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE AND HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY. THE SCREEN WOULD FREEZE WHILE REVERSING OR WOULD CUT OFF, RESTART OR FREEZE WHILE DRIVING. I HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND AND THE SCREEN FROZE. I HAD TO GET OFF AT THE NEXT EXIT SO I COULD TURN VEHICLE OFF AND ON TO UNFREEZE SCREEN BECAUSE I NEEDED TO USE THE GPS. I BROUGHT VEHICLE IN TO DEALERSHIP ON 1/14/2021 AND WAS TOLD RADIO WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AND THE PART SHOULD TAKE 2-6 WEEKS TO RECEIVE PART FROM MANUFACTURER. AS OF 4/6/2021 THE PART HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED. I CALLED DEALERSHIP TO INQUIRE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT SEND NEW ONLY USED REFURBISHED RADIO AND THEY WOULD SEND REPLACEMENT ONCE THE HAD ONE. IN THE MEANTIME IM STUCK WITH A HAZARDOUS INFERIOR VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO BETTER HONOR THEIR WARRANTY IS ESPECIALLY WHEN THERES A SAFETY HAZARD. THE ISSUE NOW OCCURS ALMOST DAILY.

VEHICLE IN MOTION CITY & HIGHWAY. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE DIES. THE ENGINE TURNS OFF, ALL THE LIGHTS DIE, NO STEERING, DASHBOARD & RADIO DIE. A FEW SECONDS LATER THE ENGINE RESTARTS ON ITS OWN, LIGHTS COME ON, DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP AND RADIO WORKS. THE ONE REMAINING ISSUE THAT INDICATES THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE RADIO COMPLETE RESETS TO WHAT I BELIEVE IS THE ORIGINAL SETTINGS. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS ACQUIRED. IT HAS BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIPS MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY OF COURSE CAN NOT DUPLICATE SO THEY SEND ME ON MY WAY. THEY HAVE HELD THE JEEP TO DRIVE BUT CLAIM THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE. ALSO THERE ARE NO CODES SHOWING WHEN THEY CHECK. TRY DRIVING AT 65 MPH WITH A DEAD CAR. AGAIN THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ABOUT A YEAR

I HAVE HAD CONTINUED ISSUES WITH MY VEHICLE FOR OVER FOUR MONTHS. IT STARTED AS NOTICING THE "FAVORITE ARTIST" BUTTON NOT WORKING ON THE VEHICLE CORRECTLY. IT THEN CHANGED TO THE SCREEN RESTARTING WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, SOMETIMES MULTIPLE TIMES. IT THEN PROGRESSED TO THE BACKUP CAMERA FREEZING, WHICH HAS ALMOST CAUSED MULTIPLE ACCIDENTS. THE DEALERSHIP UPGRADED THE SOFTWARE, REPLACED THE BACKUP CAMERA, AND MOST RECENTLY REPLACED THE RADIO ITSELF. AFTER MULTIPLE VISITS AND TIME SPENT WAITING FOR MY VEHICLE TO BE FIXED UNDER WARRANTY, THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ANYTHING ELSE THEY CAN DO TO FIX MY PROBLEM. I BELIEVE MY VEHICLE IS A LEMON, AND I DO NOT FEEL SAFE WITH THE ELECTRICAL ISSUES. SINCE TESTING AND GETTING REPLACEMENT PARTS, MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO RESTART ITS SCREEN RANDOMLY, THE BACKUP CAMERA FREEZES, AND THE ARTIST BUTTON DOES NOT WORK HALF THE TIME. THE SCREEN RESTARTING MID DRIVE FREAKS ME OUT BECAUSE IT JUST STOPS AND RESTARTS, AND THE BACKUP ISSUE IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. IT OFTEN STAYS FROZEN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. (NOT ABLE TO UPLOAD VIDEO EVIDENCE, ONLY PICTURE OF SCREEN). SCREEN AT ONE POINT WOULDN'T LET ME BACK UP WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE PARKING SENSORS BECAUSE IT THOUGHT THEIR WAS SOMETHING BEHIND THE CAR, AND THERE WAS PHYSICALLY NOTHING TO MAKE THE SENSOR THINK THAT WAY. HAVE HAD MULTIPLE SERVICE CALLS TRYING TO FIX THE ISSUE AND AM NOW GOING TO VENTURE DOWN THE LEMON LAW LANE.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON IT HAS TO DO WITH THE EMISSIONS CONTROL THE VEHICLE DOES NOT RUN PROPERLY. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES GOING ON NUMBER 4 FOR THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT IT FALLS UNDER THE LEMON LAW BECAUSE THE EMISSIONS CONTROL SYSTEM IS DEFECTIVE IN THAT VEHICLE. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH OUR THREE MONTH OLD GRANDCHILD AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WOULD NOT MOVE AT ALL IN TRAFFIC ON A BUSY HIGHWAY WITH VEHICLES PASSING BY HER AT 45 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR.

AT FIRST START UP SITTING IN GARAGE, THE MAIN DISPLAY FOR THE SPEEDOMETER IS TOTALLY BLANK, OR HAS A WHITE SCREEN WITH. NO INFORMATION AT ALL. AFTER YOU EXIT THE VEHICLE AND RETURN IN 10 OR 15 MINUTES TO START AGAIN THE DISPLAY STARTS TO WORK THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 6 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR. DEALER CAN'T FIND ANY ISSUES AFTER MULTIPLE VISITS. HARD TO DRIVE WITH NO VISIBLE SPEED INDICATION

VERY DANGEROUS! THIS SCENARIO OCCURS BOTH AT LOWER AND HIGHER SPEEDS OVER 55.

WITHIN SECONDS, I PULLED ON TO THE GRASSY AREA NEXT TO THE FAST LANE WHERE MY VEHICLE DIED. AFTER GETTING TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT MY NEW CAR WITH 329 MILES ON IT IS IN NEED OF A NEW ENGINE, NEW BATTERIES AND NEW STARTER. OF NOTABLE CONCERN ON THE REPAIR ORDER IS THE FOLLOWING: "WHAT IS PRESENT INSIDE INTAKE MANIFOLD IS PIECES OF METAL." WHILE THE CASE IS NOT YET CLOSED, CHRYSLER INFORMED ME THEY INTEND TO FIX THE VEHICLE UNDER WARRANTY AND RETURN IT TO ME. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN AND I FEAR THE BLOWN ENGINE, DEAD BATTERIES AND STARTER COULD HAVE CAUSED ADDITIONAL, UNRECOGNIZED DAMAGE.

I SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE TO REVERSE OUT OF MY PARKING SPACE TO SHIFT TO DRIVE. I WAS DRIVING ON THE ROAD WHEN I NOTICED THE SCREEN STUCK ON THE REVERSE IMAGE. IT WAS BOT DO ANYTHING AND REMAINED FROZEN UNTIL I REACHED MY DESTINATION.

THERE IS A THUMPING NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WHILE IN MOTION. IT IS GETTING WORSE AND WE ARE NOT SURE WHAT IT IS AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIX IT. WE ARE CONCERNED WITH IT GETTING WORSE THE MORE MILES WE PUT ON THE CAR.

HOLDING THE "+" BUTTON DOWN FOR MORE THAN A SPLIT SECOND CAUSES THE SPEED TO QUICKLY INCREASE IN 5 MPH INCREMENTS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 65 MPH, I PRESSED THE "+" KEY AND WITHIN SECONDS THE SPEED CONTROL SETTING JUMPED TO 95 MPH. I HIT "CANCEL" AS FAST AS I COULD. IN JEEP'S 2017 AND 2019 MODELS THAT I OWNED THE SPEED INCREASED GRADUALLY WHEN THE "+" KEY WAS DEPRESSED. TH SELLING DEALERSHIP CHECKED OUT THE VEHICLE AND REPORTED TO ME THAT IT WAS WORKING AS DESIGNED. SEE ATTACHMENT.

TRANSMISSION LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING. WAS NOT ABLE TO KEEP RATE OF SPEED. CAR STOPPED AND WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR STRANDED IN TRAFFIC.

THE SOS BUTTON IN THE CAR AND THE ASSIST BUTTON IN THE CAR DON'T WORK. IF YOU PUSH EITHER YOU GET A BUSY SIGNAL. SOS IS FOR EMERGY HELP. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALRESHIP. AFTER A COUPLE WEEKS OF FCA COLLECTING DATA THEY FINALLY TOLD THE DEALERSHIP IT IS A KNOW PROBLEM. I HAVE THE CAR BACK, BUT, THESE FEATURES DO NOT WORK. IF MY CELL PHONE IS DAMAGE I CAN NOT USE SOS TO GET HELP. THEY SAID THEY WOULD LET ME KNOW WHEN THERE IS A FIX.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED HOWEVER NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,800. *DT THE CONSUMER STATED THE VALVE BODY, TCM AND BATTERY WERE REPAIRED/REPLACED. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO HAVE DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. *JS

I WAS AT A RED IGHT, ON A BUSY ROAD. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I WAS THE FIRST CAR STOPPED IN THE TURNING LANE. THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN,AND AS I TURNED, THE CAR INTO THE LANE, IT ROLLED FOWARD FOR A SECOND WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE, THEN IT LEPT FORWARD, STALLED, THEN SAID ON THE DISPLAY THAT THE CAR NEEDED TO BE PUT IN PARK BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION GOING ACROSS ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5 2020, WAS DRIVING ABOUT 3 MILES FROM MY HOUSE WHEN I NOTICED MESSAGE ON DASHBOARD "PLACE CAR IN PARK TO START CAR". THOUGHT IT WAS ODD BECAUSE I WAS DRIVING. I THEN NOTICED CAR WAS OFF SO PLACED IN PARK (ON THE ROAD BTW) AND STARTED IT UP AGAIN. NO MORE ISSUES THAT DAY. NEXT MORNING, AUGUST 6TH, CAR SHUT DOWN AGAIN IN NEARLY THE SAME LOCATION. THIS TIME TRAFFIC WAS MUCH BUSIER AND I WAS IN RIGHT LANE WITH CARS BEHIND ME TRAVELING 45-50 MPH AND TO THE RIGHT WAS A MERGE LANE WITH MULTIPLE CARS COMING OVER...CAR SLOWLY GLIDED INTO THE MERGE LANE AS EVERYONE BECAME AWARE I WAS IN DISTRESS AND ALLOWED ME TO MOVE OVER. CAR WOULD NOT RESTART AND WAS ACTUALLY LOCKED IN PARK, SO I WAS UNABLE TO MOVE CAR FROM TRAFFIC LANES. CALLED POLICE AND TOW TRUCK WHO BROUGHT IT TO A JEEP DEALERSHIP. IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO BE IN DURING EARLY MORNING COMMUTE TIME. NOW ITS SATURDAY AND I HAVE NO COMMUNICATION AS TO WHAT THE PROBLEM MAY BE, SO I SEARCHED SOME INTERNET AND LEARNED THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR AWHILE WITH JEEPS. I WAS PROVIDED A LOANER CAR BY THE DEALERSHIP.

AFTER ONLY 350 MILES MY ENGINE STARTED SPUTTERING AND HAD TO PULL OVER. BY THE TIME WE STOPPED THE CAR THE SPUTTERING WAS VIOLENTLY SHAKING THE VEHICLE. WE HAD TO GET IT TOWED ONLY FOR THE DEALER SHIP TO TAKE SEVERAL HOURS TO REPLACE A SPARK PLUG. - AT ALMOST ALL TIME THERE THE AIR CONDITIONER NEVER SEEMS TO GET TO THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE FOR MORE THAN 20 SECONDS. WHEN AT A STOP, THE A/C IS NON EXISTENCE AND TEMPS DROP SIGNIFICANTLY. UNLESS YOU HAVE IT SET TO MAX A/C IT WILL NEVER FEEL COLD/HOT. - THE TRANSMISSION IS EXTREMELY ROUGH AT ALL TIMES, IT CAN JERK YOU BACK AND FORTH WHILE IT SWITCHES GEAR.

YOU CANNOT PROPERLY FILL YOUR GAS TANK WITHOUT HAVING TO MANIPULATE THE PUMP HANDLE THE WRONG WAYS. EVERY TIME I'VE HAD TO FILL UP I HAVE TO SIT THERE AND CONSTANTLY HAVE TO RESET THE PUMP HANDLE BECAUSE ALL THE PUMP THINK THE TANK IS FULL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHEN THE TANK IS ACTUALLY FULL. I'VE EVEN PUT THE AUTO FILL HANDLE ON AND WHEN IT KICKED OFF THE PUMP WENT FLYING OUT AND GAS SPILLED EVERYWHERE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PERFECT EXPERIENCE PUTTING GAS INTO MY JEEP SINCE I'VE BOUGHT IT. I'M ALWAYS AFRAID TO PUT THE AUTO FILL HANDLE ON AND TAKE MY HAND OFF THE PUMP.

TRAVELING AT 50 MPH DEER JUMPED INTO CENTER OF THE ROAD I HIT THE BREAKS SWERVING RIGHT, THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE BREAK LOCKED AND DIDN'T RELEASE. VERY HARD PULL TO THE LEFT ON THE STEERING WHEEL AS ANOTHER DEER CAME I TRIED VEERING RIGHT THAT TIRE WAS LOCKED THREW MY BACK PASSENGER TIRE INTO THE CURB BOUNCED THE VEHICLE REAR TO THE LEFT FRONT TIRE STILL LOCKED UP MADE THE VEHICLE SPIN EVENTUALLY ROLLING TWO OR THREE TIMES .

CENTER DISPLAY THAT CONTAINS BACKUP CAMERA IMAGES, CLIMATE CONTROL, RADIO, NAVIGATION AND MANY OTHER FUNCTIONS IS INOPERABLE MOST OF THE TIME. THIS PROBLEM RECURS DAILY, AND THE DISPLAY IS INOPERABLE 90+% OF THE TIME. THE ABSENCE OF AN OPERABLE BACKUP CAMERA DISPLAY IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE. *TR

LEASED MY GRAND CHEROKEE 2020. DROVE THE CAR TWICE. IT WASN'T EVEN 24 HRS SINCE I HAD THE CAR, MY CAR BROKE DOWN THE 2ND TIME I DROVE IT (ON A FRIDAY). I WAS WAITING ON LINE FOR MY SONS GRADUATION. IT WAS A DRIVE THROUGH GRADUATION BECAUSE OF COVID-19. I WAS THE 1ST ON LINE AND HAD 50 CARS BEHIND ME. WHEN I WAS ASKED TO PROCEED MY GEAR DIDN'T SHIFT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TRIED RESTARTING IT AND IT DIDN'T START. HAD TO GET THE CAR TOWED TO A DEALER. I WAS TOLD ID HAVE TO WAIT TILL MONDAY. CALLED JEEP TO COMPLAIN. I ASKED FOR A LOANER AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO PAY FOR IT. I FIND THAT INSENSITIVE, RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL. IT HADN'T BEEN 24 HRS THAT I HAD THE CAR, I ONLY HAD 88 MILES ON THE CAR AND I WAS BEING ASKED TO PAY FOR A LOANER FOR A CAR THAT BROKE DOWN BECAUSE OF A MANUFACTURE DEFECT. IM ASSUMING BECAUSE I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH JEEP, THEY PRESSED THE DEALER TO LOOK AT THE CAR ASAP. I RECEIVED A CALL TO SAY I RAN OUT OF GAS. MY GAS INDICATOR SHOWED I HAD A HALF TANK OF GAS. THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WHICH SENDS A SIGNAL TO THE GAS GAUGE ON THE DASH, LETTING YOU KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN YOUR THE TANK WASN'T WORKING. THE SENDING UNIT IS INTEGRATED WITH THE TANK FUEL PUMP & STRAINER. SO BOTH MY FUEL PUMPS NEED TO CHANGE. THE MAIN FUEL PUMP IS ON BACK ORDER AND I WAS TOLD I COULD BE WAITING WEEKS OR MONTHS FOR THE PUMP TO COME IN. I WAS TOLD AS LONG AS I GAS UP MY CAR EVERY 200-250 MILES I "SHOULD" BE FINE UNTIL THE FUEL TANK COMES IN. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH JEEP CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOT ONLY WERE THEY UNAPOLOGETICALLY BUT THEY DID NOT TRY TO FIND A WAY TO ACCOMMODATE ME FOR A PROBLEM THAT THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR. SADLY I JUST RECEIVED THIS CAR ON A 42 MONTH LEASE. I HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE CAR TO BE FIXED AND PRAY THAT I DON'T GET STUCK ON THE ROAD AGAIN OR ANY OTHER PROBLEM ARISE. I WOULDN'T WORRY ABOUT MY 42 MONTH LEASE IF I KNEW I COULD RELY ON THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. *TR

WAS PULLING INTO SHOP ON NICE SUNNY DAY. I TURNED TAKING A RIGHT OFF ROAD AND SOME LADY SWERVED RIGHT OFF ROAD AND HIT ME DOING 50MPG. THIS CAUSED ME TO GO FORWARD IN VEHICLE AND ACCELERATE AT A HIGH SPEED. I THEN HIT A METAL CARPORT WHICH CRASHED ON MY ROOF. BUSTED SUNROOF, HIT SIDE OF BRICK WALL ON PASSENGER SIDE AND THEN WENT DOWN INTO A STEEP DITCH AND PARTIALLY BACK UP. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I DID SEE ONE BLACK OVAL SHAPED AIRBAG BEHIND THE FRONT DRIVER TIRE AFTERWARDS. JEEP WAS TOTALED. FRONT END WAS DEMOLISHED LOOKED LIKE A BIG MOUTH. BOTH WHEELS WERE TURNED IN AND BUSTED. IT WAS CRUSHED.. SIDES WERE COMPLETELY DENTED IN. NOT SURE IF I ACCELERATED OR THE VEHICLE DID ON ITS OWN AS I HAVE NO RECOLLECTION. NOTIFIED JEEP THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO DO A REPORT AS I WAS INJURED. *TR

WHEN CHANGING A FLAT TIRE ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL, AND ON A FLAT SURFACE AND USING THE JACK THAT WAS INCLUDED IN THE VEHICLE...AFTER JACKING THE CAR UP TO THE APPROPRIATE HEIGHT TO CHANGE THE TIRE, THE JACK FAILED AND THE CAR FELL. THE JACK WAS TWEAKED OUT OF SHAPE. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS INJURED BUT THE JACK IS NO LONGER USABLE. *TR

THE VEHICLE NOW HAS 940 TOTAL MILES AND I AM BEGINNING TO FEEL HARD SHIFTING AND SLIPPING WHILE DRIVING, THAT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE NEW TRANSMISSION THEY PUT IN THE VEHICLE IS GOING BAD ALREADY. I WILL BE TAKING IT BACK TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT. I WAS ON A CITY STREET GOING STRAIGHT AT APPROXIMATELY 30MPH. *TR

THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED ABOUT THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 1,100.

I WAS INVOLVED IN A HEAD ON COLLISION WITH A SNOW PLOW MOUNTED TO A FORD F-250 WHERE SIGNIFICANT FRONT END DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE VEHICLE, AND THE AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. THERE'S NO WAY POSSIBLE THESE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN DEPLOYED.

DIAGNOSED WITH NEEDING UNKNOWN ELECTRONICALLY TO BE UPDATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 298.

WITH MY FOOT COMPLETELY OFF THE ACCELERATOR, THE VEHICLE SPONTANEOUSLY ACCELERATES UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. WHILE IN STANDARD OR SPORT MODE, IN SECOND GEAR GOING ABOUT 20MPH, THERE IS A REPRODUCIBLE RPM SURGE THAT CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE FORWARD. THIS SOMEWHAT FEELS LIKE BEING REAR ENDED.

WHEN USING THE REAR PARK ASSIST, WITH MY FOOT COMPLETELY OFF THE ACCELERATOR, THE VEHICLE HAS SPONTANEOUSLY ACCELERATED WHILE GOING IN REVERSE, REQUIRING ME TO HARD BREAK TO AVOID COLLISION. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES.

I WAS SLOWLY BACKING INTO A DRIVEWAY WHEN THE JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. I REPEATEDLY HIT THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT THE JEEP WOULDN'T STOP; INSTEAD IT KEPT GOING FASTER. IT SMASHED INTO THE GARAGE DOOR AND THE BRICK WALL OF THE GARAGE, DEMOLISHING THEM. THE JEEP WAS BRAND NEW WITH ONLY 500 MILES DRIVEN, AND IT WAS EQUIPPED WITH A COMPLETE SAFETY PACKAGE THAT SHOULD HAVE AUTOMATICALLY STOPPED IT BEFORE AN IMPENDING IMPACT BUT IT DID NOT DO SO. THIS WAS AN EXTREMELY TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE AND IT FELT LIKE A NIGHTMARE.
