Recent Owner Complaints

Direct reports filed with NHTSA by Lincoln Corsair owners — 20222026 model years.

Electrical System04/16/2026

The contact owns a 2022 Lincoln Corsair. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V954000 (Electrical System) and 25V789000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Electrical System04/13/2026

The recall letter advised that for the time being, I should set software to limit charge to 80%. The car is noncompliant with the prescribed settings. If there is a danger to having settings no prescribed, I am in danger. I did set the settings in the car and in the Android app to 80%. Sometimes the 80% limit is respected, but often it charges to 100%. Even though the Android app always reports the setting as 80%. the car sometimes doesn't comply. I only charge in my garage, in the same spot, using a Level 2 charger. The recall letter also advised that the drive mode should be set to "Auto EV." But the Corsair does not have a setting called "Auto EV." I called several numbers at Ford, and no one was able to offer any help. Screenshots show charge settings on car and phone, and one charge respecting 80%, and one going past it.

Exterior Lighting04/09/2026

The contact owns a 2022 Lincoln Corsair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, another driver informed the contact that the rear exterior lights were inoperable. Additionally, the contact later became aware that the rear taillights were flashing continuously. Upon investigating the failure online, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V688000 (Exterior Lighting). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

Electrical System04/08/2026

The contact owns a 2022 Lincoln Corsair. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V789000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

Electrical System04/06/2026

For the last three months, after the car sits for 12 hours or more, I get a "battery saver mode" on my phone and many of the online features won't work. Dealer measured the battery power on first visit - read 93 percent. Went to dealer a month later, battery read 59 percent. Dealer advised me to "drive the car more"! It takes 45 minutes to get to the dealer from our house, shouldn't have to drive longer than that. Something is draining the battery!

Air BagsCRASH1 INJURY02/12/2026

On February 5, 2026, the vehicle was involved in an accident in which the driver side was struck by another vehicle as it went through an intersection. The other vehicle was going approximately 40 mph when it impacted my vehicle. The driver side was impacted hard enough that the door would not open, yet none of the airbags went off. When the vehicle was towed to a collision repair center, the owner upon completing an estimate said he believed the airbags had malfunctioned, as the side airbags definitely should have gone off, and potentially the front ones should have, too. The vehicle is currently still at the collision center, but insurance has determined it to be a total loss and will be taking possession at some point in the near future.
