Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain four-door 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles. The passenger-side rear door may be opened from inside of the vehicle when the child safety lock is in the "ON" position.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the passenger-side child safety locks door child safety lock and latch, and replace them, if necessary, free of charge. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022 Bronco and Ranger vehicles. The windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle, which could allow it to detach during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 212, "Windshield Mounting."

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Ford Bronco and 2021-2024 Ford Edge vehicles. The Accessory Protocol Interface Module (APIM) may overheat and shutdown, which can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying as intended.

The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in.

The transmission may contain a loose bolt which could prevent the transmission from engaging the park gear, although the gear shifter position may indicate that the vehicle has been shifted to "PARK."

Remedy: Dealers will add a sliding clip latch stop to the driver and front passenger seat belts, free of charge. The Tire and Loading Information (TREAD) label states the incorrect load carrying capacity, which can result in an overloaded vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Remedy: Ford will mail a new TREAD label to install over the existing label, free of charge. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Bronco, F-150, Edge, Explorer, Lincoln Nautilus, and Lincoln Aviator vehicles equipped with either a 2.7L or 3.0L Nano EcoBoost engine. The engine intake valves may break while driving, which can result in engine failure and a loss of drive power.

A software error may cause the rearview camera image to delay, freeze, or not display when the vehicle is in reverse.

The following systems and features have been repeatedly failing in my vehicle, posing a safety hazard: 1) The side view mirrors change orientation automatically while driving. 2) The blind spot warning is inconsistent and is not trustworthy. 3) The infotainment display turns off erratically while crossing critical intersections where I am supposed to turn. This is extremely distracting and poses a severe safety risk. 4) The infotainment system’s audio volume, audio source and car play connection turns off randomly. This is extremely distracting and poses a severe accident risk. 5) The air conditioning strength and temperature changes automatically with the fan blowing extremely cold or extremely hot air. 6) The windshield wiper automatic speeds are mis-calibrated and gradation between the various levels is non-linear and erratic. This forces the driver to frequently adjust the wiper speed while driving, posing a distraction and accident risk. 7) The automatic high beam feature doesn’t work, or works erratically. This ambiguity causes distraction and dangerous night time driving situations. 8) With manual operation of high and low beams, there is a significant delay while switching from one to another, posing risk while night time driving. 9) The windshield cleaning feature with dispersal of the fluid works erratically. It works some of the time and doesn’t work other times. This ambiguity poses a severe risk while driving due to unclear windshield. 10) The tire pressure sensor displays inaccurate inflation pressure at times. This ambiguity can be catastrophic given the vehicle size and California’s mountain road driving under slick and snowy conditions. 11) The GPS directions displayed on phone and infotainment system are inaccurate and inconsistent, causing massive confusion while exiting. This is a new vehicle from 2024 and has been inspected and serviced at the dealership diligently. I have video evidence for some of the problems.

Front Camera sometimes malfunctions and will not display, only black screen. A recall or customer satisfactory program has been issued for rear camera, but not for front Camera. This issue could be dangerous when pulling forward from a parking spot as view is partially obstructed by large hood. The Ford dealership quoted a replacement but failed to fix or replace under warranty.
Vehicle brake pedal is very hard to press, unable to push in until the car engine is running. When driving the brake pedal seems it has more pressure and cannot push it to normal level. On the highway it came up brake safety warning when I was in 4Wheel Auto. The pedal stiffness has been checked and confirmed by AutoNation Service. They stated no Warranty or Recall Notice for this issue. The issue is commonly reported by broncos with 2.3L and is determined to be the Brake Booster Vacuum Line. Statements share similar brake pedal stiffness when engine stopped, and engaged stiffness when in 4 wheel mode or Cruise Control, causing driver to put immense pressure on pedal to have the car brake. Before I pay for the parts and long service this clear safety concern should be looked at.
I am reporting unresolved safety recalls and unreasonable delay in repair for my 2023 Ford Bronco (VIN: [XXX] ). This vehicle currently has two open safety recalls issued by Ford Motor Company • NHTSA Recall 25V721 (issued October 2025) – seat frame defect that may increase injury risk in a crash. There is currently no available remedy, and Ford has notified me that a repair is not expected until April 2027. • NHTSA Recall 26V124 (issued March 2026) – APIM defect that may overheat and cause the rearview camera to fail while reversing, increasing crash risk. In addition, this vehicle has had prior recalls (25V025 and 25V273) that remained unresolved for extended periods. One of these recalls had no available repair for approximately 10 months. These recalls affect critical safety systems including suspension, rear visibility, and seat safety. The delay for Recall 25V721 is expected to exceed 18 months, which I believe is an unreasonable delay for a safety recall repair. Ford has continued issuing new recalls while prior recalls were still unresolved, indicating a pattern of repeated safety defects and delayed remedies. Due to these active recalls, I have been unable to use my vehicle commercially. Rental platforms such as Turo prohibit listing vehicles with open safety recalls. This has resulted in financial losses exceeding 80,000. This situation forces consumers to choose between operating a vehicle with known safety defects or suffering significant financial loss due to lack of repair availability. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether Ford is complying with its obligation to provide timely safety recall remedies and whether delays of this length are reasonable. Regarding this recall notice 26S09/26V124 This camein the mail Friday, 3 days to late to prevent a accident. On that previous Tuesday, while backing out of the garage in full sunshine I backed straight into my wife's vehicle parked to the side. No warning sensors, no alarms. Progressive insurance is handling the claims, but I am still going to be out of pocket my 500 dollars deductible plus rental car charges. I can provide all information you might require, but I certainly feel this safety recall led up yi this incident.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the back over prevention camera malfunctioned. Additionally, the contact reported that the check engine warning light illuminated; however, the fault light was cleared by the dealer during a service visit. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V455000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE), 25V721000 (SEATS), and 26V124000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 63,000.
On April 3rd, 2026 my steering started to intermittently lock up on my 2022 Ford Bronco. I immediately took my vehicle to my local dealership where they were able to recreate the problem. The vehicle was also throwing the code U3000:49-8A for steering gear failure. This issue appears to be consistent with the Ford Safety Recall 23S09. There was no warning prior to the issue. There were no warning indicators once the issue began.
Steering would get stuck when turning, then let loose. Fortunately I didn’t lose control. Happens all the time now when driving. Had the car towed to dealer. They diagnosed failed steering shaft. This Bronco has approx 28,000 miles on it. Ford Motor Company refused to help me pay for the approx $1000 repair. Finally, the dealer worked with a contact at Ford for them to cover most of the cost. Ford wouldn’t consider issuing a recall, or expanding an existing recall for a similar steering problem, which didn’t include my VIN. No warning lights, messages, etc. I consider this a serious defect.
My infotainment screen goes blank when I backup instead of displaying my backup camera. There is an active recall on this but there is no remedy and no estimated remedy date. Ford Motor Company is only prioritizing 2026 model years so they can sell brand new vehicles. They are not trying to fix previous model years. This poses a safety risk that can result in a crash and/or death. Cars are required by law to have a backup camera, so Ford is breaking the law by not fixing this issue.
