Electrical System /Lane Departure04/22/2026

The entire infotainment system has gone black. Nothing shows on the screen. This is a safety issue as it does not show blind spot monitoring, heads up display, lane change warnings, allow hands free calling, gps, and much more. None of the safety features are available with a trailer hookup as well. We have taken it to a certified Chevrolet dealer who has said the truck was the 6th one that they have placed an order for in just over a week. The infotainment system is currently on back order which makes operating the vehicle concerning with its proper safety features.

Electrical System04/15/2026

Switch fails in shifter assembly that is supposed to sense the vehicle is in park. Does not allow the key to be removed. Dealership explained that complete failure may cause the vehicle to actually get stuck in drive. Very common problem that typically occurs just outside of bumper to bumper warranty. Related to a cheap microswitch but requires $1000 full replacement of the shifter assembly.

Engine04/15/2026

On or about March 14, 2026 vehicle in question stopped working, losing all power and gave a message that the vehicle was over heating and to turn off immediately. A large amount of steam emitted through the coolant reservoir that was a mixture of oil and coolant. Vehicle was towed to a manufacturer service location. The oil/coolant system ruptured damaging the radiator, thermostat, hoses and related parts. Vehicle with low mileage/hours was consuming engine oil at what one would consider a greater rate. ( 1 quart every other day). Our organization is aware that the diesel model of this truck had a recall for a oil/cooling system issue and we believe the same liability may lay with the gas version. Mileage was approximately 13,000 at time of breakdown.

Structure04/13/2026

Tailgate latch failed, getting ghost signals and opens randomly. Happen to me going 65 mph down the highway. Exact symptoms as recall number N232426400. Have not taken it to a dealer yet. No warning signals

Exterior Lighting04/10/2026

The contact owns a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds at night, the low beam and high beam headlights were extremely dim, reducing the roadway visibility while driving during the rain. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the headlights were functional. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 700.

Unknown Or Other04/07/2026

Electric-Release Tailgate opens unexpectedly on its own, when vehicle is put in park. This had happen when a trailer was hitched and now has caused a dent in the tailgate. There is a recall # N232426400/N232426401; but apparently my VIN is not showing in the recall.

Electrical System04/07/2026

Power tailgate opens and closes by itself. Safety of others is at risk if materials fall out on the road while driving if the tailgate opens by itself. There has been a recall for this but my truck vin is not included yet had the same issue. No warning when tailgate started having issues.

Power Train04/05/2026

While driving the vehicle, the vehicle jolted and made a clunk noise. The check engine light came on accompanied by a message on the Dash stating "Reduce acceleration, Drive with Care". The vehicle went into "limp mode", and appeared to be engaged in a single gear. The vehicle was traveling at approximately 30 mph when the transmission malfunctioned. The vehicle was taken to my local Chevy dealer, where they scanned the vehicle and determined that the Valve Body was the issue, based on the scan result. The vehicle is a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500HD (Gas). It has 29k miles on it. The vehicle was purchased as a "certified Pre-owned" (lease return). Within 20 miles of being driven from the dealer after purchase, I experienced a jolt & clunk. The failure occured 42 miles later.

Electrical System04/04/2026

Batteries being drawn down from a parasitic draw. Tailgate won’t operate from outside the truck and infotainment system malfunctioning also lights flashing periodically. This is the second time in about a month this has happened. The first time the dealer said I had bad batteries so I replaced both of them with Napa batteries. Waiting to hear from the dealer now on the findings this time.

Latches/Locks/Linkages03/30/2026

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that during or after it rained, the tailgate occasionally opened unexpectedly while driving. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that a diagnostic test was needed to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the same information as the dealer. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V060000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 24,000.

Unknown Or Other03/30/2026

There is an incredible reliance on navigation and communication while driving. This and many other vehicles have intermittent disconnects to CarPlay This causes inattentive decisions while attempting to reconnect. I have personally had two trips to dealership with no resolution numerous photos showing loss of communication with vehicles main information center.

Power Train03/28/2026

The Transmission on my truck down shifted and made it so I lost all power while driving. If I would have been on the freeway it probably would have killed me or caused a serious accident. It is at a shop waiting to be inspected but they said it was the valve body in the transmission. No warning lights came on at all, and the shop had to plug a computer into my transmission to get the codes. GM needs to make this right because it is going to kill someone or cause harm if a bad accident happens due to failure at freeway speeds.
